Excellent restaurant! Great food and service!! Beautiful atmosphere, always a favorite!!

When I first came here several years ago I was sufficiently underwhelmed to be in no rush to return. I didn't want to write them off completely before giving them a second chance though, so I came back with my family for an early Mother's Day dinner. On a busy Friday night they were fully prepared for the rush. Fresh chips and salsa arrived at our table just as we did. Happy hour hadn't ended yet, so we ordered a round of margaritas that also showed up quickly. Already this was an improvement over the previous visit. It was when we got our entrees that I was reminded of why I originally lost interest in this place. My chicken and cheese enchilada meal was about as average as it gets. My husband and sons had the same impression of their meals. To be clear, there was nothing wrong with any of the food. At the same time, there was nothing special about it either. Another thing that didn't help the situation was when I asked for their spiciest salsa they brought me a tiny cup that contained maybe a couple tablespoons of it. I didn't realize until the bill came that they charge extra for it. Furthermore, it was barely hotter than their regular salsa. Had I known all that, I would never have bothered with the request. Now, I have no problem with garden variety Tex Mex as long as it's priced accordingly, but I expected more here due to their higher prices. Lived in FloMo for 23 years and didn't get to this Mia Dia location until I was back in town as a visitor. Had one of the lunch specials and it met all expectations. Weirdly took a long time for the hostess to come and seat me but the service was good overall. read more

The service at this restaurant is always great. The ambiance is a total vibe. It can get a little noisy but it is a good thing. The food is great, from the table side guacamole that is made to however spicy you want it to however mild you want it. I love the fact they add bacon to the guacamole which is totally different. Let's not forget the grilled shrimp tacos that are super good. The chips and salsa is good. The mixture of green and red salsa is the perfect spicy blend. This is my go to spot. The food is good but it comes with a price tag and the $100k luxury cars parked out front is probably how they justify it. This is another example of Flomo wanting to be boujie, more power to 'em though because it's been a few years and they're still staying busy on the weekends. Nice Tex-Mex spot. This looks like a place that would require a reservation because of how busy it is and it looks like one of the nicer dining spots, but luckily we didn't need one. We were seated right away. We started with chips and salsa for the table. Salsa was red and green, and the green sauce was very spicy. The menu was nicely priced, especially the combo. We got chicken quesadillas for $18 and a 3-combo meal (beef enchiladas, chicken flautas, and pork tamales) for $16. These were served in huge portions. The beef enchiladas come with ground beef. The chicken flautas and pork tamales were on the drier side. Nothing spectacular with the refried beans and rice. The food was just okay for the reasons I mentioned above. read more

Mia Dia is my go-to Tex-Mex restaurant in the area. While it's often jam packed during peak dining hours so I strongly suggest making a reservation on OpenTable.com if you can. I have tried a variety of items here from their tacos to enchiladas to chimichangas but my favorite item hands down is their skirt steak fajitas. For me, their fajitas are the standard by which other local restaurants' fajitas. They are always sizzling hot, fresh, plentiful and most all tasty. The servers are friendly and check on you often enough. They have a large parking lot out back and are conveniently located just off of Long Prairie Road. I've never had a bad experience here or at their sister location in Grapevine. read more

Came here with a couple of my girlfriends for lunch and had a great experience. The ambiance is always pleasant, and the food is consistently good. We asked for extra-spicy salsa and it did not disappoint! The chips are on the thicker side, which paired perfectly with the salsa. Amado waited on my buddy & I. It was a late lunch & we got seated right away. Ordered drinks & our food order arrived right away. I ordered the carnitas tacos & it was served with rice & black beans. Taco shells are a dark agave, tacos were pretty good. My buddy ordered the asada & shrimp fajitas. Overall, it's a date type or adult atmosphere & I liked it. You close in 45 minutes but tell people you're closed when it's clear you're open and plenty of tables filled with couple open? If you want to be closed at 8:30pm, change your hours to close at 8:30pm. The food here is good. Ambiance is delightful, especially the patio. Beautiful restaurant with ok service and cold queso! Seriously, how do you forget to heat up the queso? I expected a lot with the pricing and atmosphere. Was a disappointing visit. We went on a Saturday 2 hours before close, hostess counter was empty and they were not busy. Inside is very nice! Felt very fancy for Mexican food. Got a basket of small chip pieces, but the salsa was great! Got queso to share, but it was cold. Not luke warm, COLD. Service was ok, was not the worst. It didn't feel like anyone was happy we were there. I got tamales, they were decent, the sauce was amazing, Wife got a chimichanga, again, sauces were amazing. Chicken was dry inside and not hot. It is intimate without being crammed, and energetic without being too loud. There is a wide variety of unique alcoholic beverages to try, and their blueberry habanero margarita is one of the best drinks I have ever had. My family of 4 came in for lunch today. It was so delicious! The flavors were authentic and so good! We had a variety of things from guacamole to hatch tacos, a salad, and dessert, sopapillas. They had a mix of Mexican, New Mexican, and Tex-Mex cuisine. The atmosphere was traditional and was inviting with seating in and outside. Our server Mayra was so good and friendly. It has been a couple years since visiting Monday night so not too busy. The hostess either hates her job or is having an extremely bad day as she was the most unfriendly person to greet is and then take us to our table. After being seated right away on the patio we were greeted by a much happier waitress. Chips and salsa were delivered quickly. Salsa was a probably a medium heat. Chips can be addicting. House margarita on the rocks with half salt was fine. Other drink was a Mango Margarita which I did not try but was told it was good. Ordered a chimichanga with steak which comes with a side of rice and beans. No complaints. Other order was chicken fajitas. Both priced the same at $18. We ate on patio and will worn anyone about the flies. They attacked once the food was delivered. They could use something to reduce the flies as I know you will never be able to get rid of them entirely. It got annoying and used our napkins to cover the food. The patio is nicely sheltered and the road noise was to a minimum not interfering with our conversation. Will we visit again- yes. read more

The food is great! I always get the pastoral dreamers chicken. It isthe perfect dish for me. They do a great guacamole at the table. I also enjoy their margaritas. The services always good sometimes great. They're usually very busy which leads to my big problem is that it is very loud and hard to carry on a conversation with your friends. read more

By far our favorite Mexican restaurant - we don't go anywhere else anymore. Applewood smoked bacon & chipotle fajitas (steak) are so yummy. Hubby gets the chimichanga with the same ingredients & I've also had the quesadillas... delicious! The tableside guac is the best we've had outside of Cancun. Hannah is the best server. Salsa is not too spicy - just right. We love the ambiance & have never had to wait for a table more than a few minutes. Consistently delicious & prices are very reasonable. Lovely outdoor patio. Gage is hands down our favorite bartender, his cocktails are just unbeatable. I'm pretty loyal now and only trust him with my drinks. We initially came for the food, but it's the amazing staff that keeps us coming back. And when the weather's nice, the patio is just beautiful. Walking in I see the modernistic designs, and decor all around, and even saw a nice display of liquor. I got a mango and strawberry margarita, which was good, and they had many other varieties of drinks to choose from. This place was packed and I can see why, because they had the best chips and dip. The BAR. STOCKED WELL, but if dint try a Hell Freezes Over what are you doing with your life? Perfect blend if spicy and salty. Mi Dias specialty infusions make tequila haters like me change their mind. Grab a gauc for the entire table. Its of course made from scratch on the spot and is perfectly paired with their Hell Freezes Over signature drink mentioned above. For lunch I love the street tacos, specifically the chicken tingas, but for dinner I highly recommend the banana leaf wrapped salmon or the Codorniz. The quail are buttery and well flavored and I could make a meal of their charro beans by themselves. I've never had a playe here that was bad. Parking is a little icky due to the medical plazas and quick exit of 2499 but all in all this place is nice, well decorated and has a pretty solid menu you can count on time and time again. read more

I absolutely love it here! The inside has incredible lighting and makes it very cozy/ intimate. Everything from the chips and salsa to the drinks, it is all delicious! I also can not rave enough about their steak and no matter what dish you get, if it has their steak then you'll be set! Honestly, all of their meat is so tender, well seasoned, and crave-able! The staff are generally very helpful and kind but I have noticed that they always recommend the most expensive drink, entree, etc... which I can understand due to getting a larger tip, BUT I have taken their recommendations a few times ( always then the most $$$) and the dishes and drinks they said to get were not my favorite; so just something to keep in mind.
