My only suggestion would be to offer a salsa without cilantro for those who prefer it. We ordered the Create Your Own Combo Plate, which included a chicken flauta, a crispy taco, rice, and refried beans topped with cheese for $15.50. The taco was perfectly crispy and well seasoned, while the chicken flauta was covered in a flavorful red chile sauce that had just the right amount of heat. The rice and refried beans were seasoned perfectly and complemented the meal well. We also ordered the chimichanga, smothered in cheese sauce and served with rice and refried beans, for $16.00. It was well seasoned, delicious, and satisfying. The flavors weren't overpowering--they were balanced and enjoyable, making it a dish I would gladly order again. This was my first visit to Mi Dia From Scratch, and I came away very impressed. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lively, and the restaurant also offers a nice outdoor seating area. I hadn't eaten all day, was really hungry, and the food tasted okay otherwise, so I decided not to complain and ate about 3/4 of the chicken. When our waitress brought our to go boxes, we started talking about everyone's meals. That's when my sister-in-law mentioned that her chicken wasn't hot either and described hers the exact same way: lukewarm. She said it had never been served like that the other times she'd ordered it. At that point we considered saying something, but since we'd already eaten part of our meals, we decided not to. Unfortunately, about 3.5- 4 hours after dinner, I started feeling very sick to my stomach and have now been sick for several hours. I can't say for certain that the meal caused it, but considering the temperature of the chicken, the timing definitely concerns me. It's too late tonight to check on my sister-in-law, but I'll be checking with her first thing in the morning since she ate the same entrée. The rest of the table wasn't overly impressed with their meals either, but the margarita was good. My husband thought the brisket tacos were bland and felt they needed some type of sauce to complement them, and my mom gave the beef enchiladas 2 stars. I do want to say that our waitress was great, and we had no issues with her service. My biggest regret is not trusting my gut and sending the lukewarm chicken back when it was first served. Hindsight is definitely 20/20 because now I'm up late fighting my gut instead.
