Came here last weekend for the first time and loved it! I hadn't had good authentic street tacos in awhile and this place didn't disappoint. Hubby and I both ordered the 3 taco plate where you get to choose your own tacos. I got the nopales, carne asada, and lengua. It comes with a side of rice, delicious beans with pork, and I added on a side of elotes. The food was delicious and filling and decently priced! We also tried their margaritas and a margarita flight. The mango chili margarita was so good and had a good amount of tequila. The white peach frozen margarita was delicious as well! I had a pretty good experience here overall. The aguas frescas were amazing -- I got the watermelon and it was super refreshing and flavorful. For the taco plate, I ordered two tacos al pastor and one cheese and chorizo taco. The al pastor was very good, though it would have been even better if the pineapple had been a bit riper. The cheese and chorizo taco was tasty and satisfying. The charro beans were fire and the cilantro lime rice was also really good. They have a really nice patio, which made it a great place to hang out, and the drinks are very reasonably priced. The only miss for me was the elote -- it had way too much cheese and the corn wasn't very sweet, so it just didn't hit the mark. One of my DFW buddies reviewed El Taco H in Denton and bragged how good it was. Road trip time! Mike and I got there in time for a late lunch. Parking downtown can be a little tough, but we found a spot. I ordered the birria plate and Mike ordered a monster burrito. A quick picture and then it's time to eat. OMG! I have found my perfect birria tacos! They are crispy, and gooey, and everything birria tacos should be! The consume just added to the deliciousness! We went here fir the 1st time. We got the the 3 taco platter and chips and salsa. The queso taco was my favorite. The chips and salsa were flavorful and warm. Love this place! My husband and I ate there last night and it was delicious. It was very easy to order and you should definitely get drinks to go with the food. My husband got the taco plate (Al pastor, barbacoa, and quesabirria) which came with a side of beans and cilantro rice. He devoured that plate in seconds. Omg the beans were amazing! He also hit the salsa bar, he got the arvol. Spicy but so tasty. I got the Birria taco plate that also came with Beans and rice and the amazing consommé! Whenever I'm in downtown Denton, I'm most likely coming here. I always feel welcome when I come in and the people who take your order are always helpful. The tacos and burritos are top tier. I came here for lunch recently and was very pleased. I had ordered ahead and my order was ready in the 8 minutes it took me to drive here. As soon as I walked in I was greeted. I had to order in person since I forgot to order a taco when I did it online. The cashier was very nice and my order was ready in less than 5 minutes. The service was really good. They have a large salsa bar that has water, ice, limes, jalapenos, and, of course, various salsas. I ordered the carne asada taco, the al pastor, and quesabirria. I was so hungry I didn't get to take any pics of all the tacos. The tacos were excellent. Now, they are small, as they are street tacos, but the flavor is potent in a good way as they're all well seasoned. The carne asada steak was grilled perfectly and had great flavor, and it was tender; it tasted great! The al pastor taco was also very good it was very tender, not dried out and tender and had a perfect pastor flavor. I like that they garnished it with diced pineapples. Very cool ambiance, lots of neat paintings on the wall and decor that feels like you're being transported to Mexico City. Everything was very clean and the staff was welcoming as soon as we walked in. There is a whole bar with many different hot sauces at all different heat levels along with all the toppings if you want extra, including limes cilantro and onions. All the food we ordered came out quick and tasted phenomenal! The chips were seasoned a d the salsa was steaming hot and packed with flavor. One of the best salsa's I've ever had that perfectly balanced heat and flavor. The Suadero taco could have been a bit more tender but still was very delicious. All the tacos were dripping with juices and VERY generously piled up with meat and toppings. The margaritas were flavorful and not too sweet like a lot of places tend to be. What a great Taco hangout place. This is a fast casual restaurant where you order at the counter and they bring food to you. First off the vibe is outstanding and it was filled with university students, as well as families. Spacious inside seating area and an equally big outside seating area. Drinks were outstanding, though the bar was a little slow. The food was exceptional for a taco joint. My wife had flautas and they were jammed with ingredients and cooked to crisp perfection. I had a taco plate with an Al Pastor, a Suadero and a Choriqueso. Look them up for photos and you will be impressed. I forgot to take any. The cilantro lime rice and charro beans were perfect as sides. We also had a side of outstanding elote which was about as good as I have had. Although I ventured out a little on my taco choices, next time I will go a bit further since I have a positive experience behind me. Perhaps try the beef tongue or stewed cactus in my tacos. It was clean, open, they had an air conditioned area in an outside sitting area. You got to sit wherever you want. I had the carne asada, my wife had the carnitas and my daughter had the queso birria. Hand down the best tacos we've had while in Texas. This spot is a favorite of our cousins who live nearby. We were told they have great margaritas but don't try them this trip. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and when we had an issue with part of our meal not getting delivered the manager was quick to refund us for the missing item - no questions asked. There is a large outdoor seating area and the indoor seating is kept for good cold with AC. The decor is plentiful and tasteful. The quesabirria tacos were to die for. The meat was very tender and it had just the right amount of cheese. The consommme was so good and was super flavorful. I washed everything down with a cup of cucumber and lime aqua Fresca which was very refreshing. The cilantro lime rice was so good and the charro beans were amazing. I'm used to bland refried beans at Mexican restaurants but these beans were piping hot and full of flavor. This used to be one of my favorite taco spots, but the last few times we've ordered delivery, the tacos are either incredibly greasy (Asada) or the tortillas are wet and soggy. They have also forgotten items in several orders - one of the sides on the taco plate or tonight, the chips and salsa were left out. I won't order delivery again...lesson learned. Now the good - The Asada tacos are really good, but watch for hard burnt pieces from the grill (I always check mine before eating). The cilantro lime rice is delicious. The beans are good, but have more of a smoked ham taste than I like so I usually opt for double rice. The elote cup is okay...I can't put my finger on what I don't like about it. Wow! It's not often that I'm blown away from the moment I walk into a new restaurant, until I leave. From the outside it doesn't look like something as great as it was inside. The menu was pretty easy to navigate and the only down side was I couldn't sample their great drinks because I was at work. We ordered the chips & salsa and loved that they came out warm. They give you a ton of chips and that salsa was soooo good! We couldn't even finish them. They bring your order to you and everyone there was friendly and we got our order pretty quickly. Went here with a group of friends and definitely enjoyed our time! There was great atmosphere - music, lighting, and temperature at the facility was fun, vibrant, and comfortable. When you walk in, you grab a menu and order at the counter + pay right in front of you. They'll give you a number and the food is served wherever you choose to sit. The food itself was a bit on the higher side but this place is a tiny bit more upscale than your average taco shop you'd find at a gas station. The tacos were pretty small for our liking (looked like a little under 5 inches) but totally stuffed with meat - which did make up for it. Everything was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed the dish. There is a free salsa bar (chips you have to buy at the counter) with a complimentary water dispenser on the side. There's plenty of seating and two separate dining rooms.
