Who would have thought that I would find a really good spot in the mall! The food is by far some of the best food I've experienced in Denton so far. The service was good and their area was clean. This has definitely been added to my favorites list!

    Epic Michelada!! Best in town!!

We are back for the third time! And we have now tried a lot more things on the menu! The service is lightning fast! And the servers are helpful and thoughtful. We give this place our highest rating, and that says a lot!

Mexican food so good it makes you wanna get married? We moved to Denton 2 years and have been searching for a vegetarian friendly Mexican food place with awesome drinks. We found Boka Feliz Mexican Kitchen on McKinney a couple weeks ago. They had my fav a cheese chili relleno (so rare to find). And I got to eat vegetarian refried beans! Boyfriend got a meat of some kind (lol) burrito and LOVED it. We're salsa snobs, but theirs is amazing (don't try it till you have a beverage!)! The drinks were on point. I like a spicy drink and he says he doesn't even like tequila, but there we are sippin on some Gracias a Dios, loving life. I love me some Mexican food. I need you to hear me. I LOVE SOME MEXICAN FOOD (also, their corn tortillas.... Damn). We had our Mexican food, our drinks, some friends were with us. It was a whole vibe. We got home, discussed the amazing evening, and he decided to end the night asking me to wear a pretty ring and tolerate him until one of us dies. So, I'm just saying... That food.... And those drinks. Watch out, they might getcha (or ladies, take him there ;)) Guess they got a catering gig now for May 2026. (Tonight he got another meat thing with mole. He liked the mole a lot. I got the mushroom taco and the avocado taco (and my refried beans). They were AMAZING. We tried some new amazing drinks. Just as wonderful as the first visit. Don't think I'm getting more jewelery this time tho lol)

    Menu

I had the street tacos. Carne Asada was meaty and well seasoned. It was good with the complementary orange spicy sauce. The Al Pastor had marinated pork, grilled pineapple, cilantro, and onion. Adding the orange sauce made it taste very good! The chicken Street taco had marinaded chicken and mozzarella cheese. I did not care for this one very much with the added sauce. Service was quick and food was hot and fresh. Tortillas were fresh made. You can't beat the price for these filling tacos, $2.99-$3.89. I would recommend this for a quick hot and fresh lunch in the mall. This is located next to the kids play area.

Boka Feliz has been on my list for awhile and I was finally able to try it while I was in Denton for a little bit. I know we generally have an idea of what to expect from mall food courts, but BABYYYY - THIS PLACE IS THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH!!!!!!! My sister has been raving about it for awhile and recommended a few things on the menu, so this time around I decided to try the carne asada fries and they were FANTASTIC!! They came out piping hot and packed with flavor!! Even though it had SO many toppings, everything worked together and none of it was soggy at all!! My sister got an order of guacamole, and quesashrimp, fish, fresh avocado, and al pastor tacos!! I was able to try all of them (minus the quesashrimp) and they were INCREDIBLE!! Seriously, the proteins were SO well seasoned and all of the ingredients were fresh!! The tortillas were clearly made in house and that GUACAMOLE!??!?! SENSATIONAL!! This completely went above and beyond any expectations i've had or would ever have for a meal from a MALL FOOD COURT!! This is truly authentic Mexican Cuisine and I am A FAN FOR LIFE!! 10/10 WOULD ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND!!

Everything we ordered was delicious. The guacamole tasted super fresh, the queso was flavorful and came in a generous portion, and the salsa had just the right amount of kick without being too spicy. The only small hiccup was the chips situation--they give you big portions of guac, queso, and salsa, but the chips come in a tiny bowl. (Literally 10 chips) very sad for 6 people to fight over so little of chips. Not a huge deal, just a bit surprising. We also tried the margaritas--they had great flavor, though they tasted absent of tequila. Overall, we really enjoyed it and would definitely go back...maybe next time we bring our own chips! :)

If I could give La Fondita Mexican Restaurant six stars, I would legally change the rating system…read morejust to make it happen. Let me set the scene: I walked in expecting a casual meal and maybe a decent taco. What I got instead was a borderline spiritual awakening wrapped in foil and served with rice and beans. First of all -- the giant piña colada. When they say giant, they are not messing around. This thing arrived like it had its own gravitational pull. I'm pretty sure I saw a small family of tourists orbiting it. One sip and I was transported to a beach that doesn't even exist on any map -- coconutty, icy perfection with just enough kick to make me briefly consider texting my boss that I've moved to an island and won't be returning. Then came the beans. Listen carefully: I don't throw this word around lightly -- perfect. These beans were so good I genuinely paused mid-bite and just stared into the middle distance reevaluating my entire life. Creamy, rich, seasoned like someone's abuela whispered ancient secrets into the pot. I would trust these beans with my taxes, my passwords, and honestly my emotional well-being. And the corn tortillas... dear lord, the corn tortillas. I have had tortillas in many places, including at my own abuela's table -- and saying this feels like confessing a sin -- but these might be the best I've ever had besides abuela's. Warm, soft, slightly charred in all the right places, like they were handmade by someone who has been perfecting this craft since before I was born and possibly before electricity was invented. If I could build a house out of these tortillas, I would. I would live there. Happily. And then--just when I thought things couldn't escalate further--the huevos rancheros arrived. Eggs cooked to that perfect sweet spot where the yolk still has a little rebellion left in it, laid over a bed of everything that matters, all tied together with a sauce that refuses to be anything less than unforgettable. It's the kind of breakfast that makes you question why you ever settle for anything less in life. Comforting, bold, and somehow both rustic and wildly impressive at the same time. Everything else on the plate? Outstanding. Rice that actually deserves to be eaten and not just politely ignored. Salsa that sneaks up on you like, "oh this is nice--OH okay there it is." Service? Friendly, fast, and somehow emotionally supportive. Atmosphere? The kind of place where you immediately feel like a regular even if it's your first time. Final verdict: If you are anywhere within a 50-mile radius of Denton and you are not eating at La Fondita Mexican Restaurant, you are making a series of deeply questionable life choices. I came in hungry. I left changed.

We started things off right with chips, jalapeño ranch dip, and queso, which is honestly the only proper way to begin a Chuy's visit. The queso was warm, creamy, and exactly what my soul needed, and the chips with that jalapeño ranch were the cherry on top. Speaking of cherries, we also got the Tito's cherry limeade, and it was the spring we didn't know we needed to bounce. Crisp, cold, a little dangerous in the cutest way, and honestly adorable -- the perfect little kick to start the meal. Our waiter was top notch: kind, attentive, and somehow always there right when we needed something without ever hovering. That kind of service makes the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable. For food, we ordered the Baja shrimp tacos, and when I say the shrimp is BIG, I mean it (and no, we're definitely not out here flattering any men ). The shrimp was cooked perfectly, flavorful, and absolutely the star of the plate. They came with rice and beans, and even though I forgot to ask for the cilantro lime rice , I was still super happy with everything. We also got the steak fajita Tex-Mex burrito bowl, and every single bite just kept getting better. The steak was tender, packed with flavor, and once it all got mixed together with the salsa and scooped up on the crispy tostada, it was perfection. This meal was such a good reminder of why Chuy's became a favorite for me in the first place -- fun atmosphere, great food, amazing service, and one of those dinners that just hits from the first chip to the last bite.
