Our Favorite restaurant in Denton. The ambience and service are outstanding. Sometimes the main entrees take awhile so we order an appetizer if we know we need something quick. But we're generally not in a rush and enjoy looking at the beautiful decor. The food is flavorful and never disappoints.

Weeknight traffic was pretty busy even with the horrible winter weather. We were greeted and seated promptly. Fun ambiance. Chips and salsa right away, and then the really good stuff! Food was nothing short of delicious and servings were quite ample. Rosa was exceptional and didn't miss a beat for anything we needed. We were stuffed, happy, and ready for relaxing after dinner! This is a gem - don't miss it when you are driving through Denton on I35!

Beautiful restaurant- I have gotten to go orders multiple times and sat in once. The staff is always super friendly. Our waiter on the date we dined in was fantastic. My favorite dish there is the chicken tortilla soup. On the days I took out it was perfect but most recently when I sat in- it was way too salty. Can't wait to come back again

Visited Villa Grande and was expecting the same hospitality and great food as Decatur location offers but was very disappointed. Our server seemed very pushy with taking our order and had an attitude or must've been having a bad day. We still stayed and ate but the experience wasn't good overall. Food was ok not as good as Decatur location, so we might not be back.

This was my first, and most likely last visit to Villa Grande. I walked in and there was no wait. I was greeted and seated immediately. That's where the promptness ended. There was a couple that walked in shortly after me. While I sat at my table for over 15 minutes without anyone coming to my table, that couple that walked in behind me already had drinks, chips, salsa and their food orders taken. I was growing frustrated and about to get up and walk out, then a server came and asked me if I knew what I wanted to eat. I told her I was still waiting to order drinks. She said "ok, what do you want then?", she then took our drink order and food order at the same time. She left without taking the menus or leaving us utensils. Several minutes later, a man dropped off chips and salsa to our table. I'm not a fan of their salsa, I thought it was very bland. Needed some spice, salt, lime, or something. Their chips were also cold. They taste as if they came right out of the bag. Our server delivered our food to the table within 10 minutes, and that was literally the last time I saw her. She never came back.... Not Even Joking!!! No one came by to see if we needed anything, or refill our drinks. I waved down the hostess and asked for utensils so we could eat and asked her to take the menus that were still on our table. My veggie burritos were less than desirable. They had absolutely no seasoning and were literally cooked frozen veggies on a flour tortilla... no rice, no beans, no cheese, and no sauce inside. I had to wave down the manager to ask for some salsa to put on my burritos because they were dry and flavorless. When we were done eating, I waited a very long time for someone to bring me my check. No one ever came. So I put my credit card on the edge of the table, after some additional waiting, some random guy walked by and grabbed it. He said "I'll charge your card now". I never saw my bill before he took my card. He came back with a merchant slip for me to sign and thanked me for coming. Overall, I was very, very disappointed in my visit. The ambiance and decor of the restaurant was very nice and there is so much potential here, so I don't know how the ball was dropped on me. I definitely cannot recommend Ville Grande. After my poor experience, I don't think I'd ever come back. What a shame!

Everything we ordered was delicious. The guacamole tasted super fresh, the queso was flavorful and came in a generous portion, and the salsa had just the right amount of kick without being too spicy. The only small hiccup was the chips situation--they give you big portions of guac, queso, and salsa, but the chips come in a tiny bowl. (Literally 10 chips) very sad for 6 people to fight over so little of chips. Not a huge deal, just a bit surprising. We also tried the margaritas--they had great flavor, though they tasted absent of tequila. Overall, we really enjoyed it and would definitely go back...maybe next time we bring our own chips! :)

Let me set the scene: I walked in expecting a casual meal and maybe a decent taco. What I got instead was a borderline spiritual awakening wrapped in foil and served with rice and beans. First of all -- the giant piña colada. When they say giant, they are not messing around. This thing arrived like it had its own gravitational pull. I'm pretty sure I saw a small family of tourists orbiting it. One sip and I was transported to a beach that doesn't even exist on any map -- coconutty, icy perfection with just enough kick to make me briefly consider texting my boss that I've moved to an island and won't be returning. Then came the beans. Listen carefully: I don't throw this word around lightly -- perfect. These beans were so good I genuinely paused mid-bite and just stared into the middle distance reevaluating my entire life. Creamy, rich, seasoned like someone's abuela whispered ancient secrets into the pot. I would trust these beans with my taxes, my passwords, and honestly my emotional well-being. And the corn tortillas... dear lord, the corn tortillas. I have had tortillas in many places, including at my own abuela's table -- and saying this feels like confessing a sin -- but these might be the best I've ever had besides abuela's. Warm, soft, slightly charred in all the right places, like they were handmade by someone who has been perfecting this craft since before I was born and possibly before electricity was invented. If I could build a house out of these tortillas, I would. I would live there. Happily. And then--just when I thought things couldn't escalate further--the huevos rancheros arrived. Eggs cooked to that perfect sweet spot where the yolk still has a little rebellion left in it, laid over a bed of everything that matters, all tied together with a sauce that refuses to be anything less than unforgettable. It's the kind of breakfast that makes you question why you ever settle for anything less in life. Comforting, bold, and somehow both rustic and wildly impressive at the same time. Everything else on the plate? Outstanding. Rice that actually deserves to be eaten and not just politely ignored. Salsa that sneaks up on you like, "oh this is nice--OH okay there it is." Service? Friendly, fast, and somehow emotionally supportive. Atmosphere? The kind of place where you immediately feel like a regular even if it's your first time. Final verdict: If you are anywhere within a 50-mile radius of Denton and you are not eating at La Fondita Mexican Restaurant, you are making a series of deeply questionable life choices. I came in hungry. I left changed.

We started things off right with chips, jalapeño ranch dip, and queso, which is honestly the only proper way to begin a Chuy's visit. The queso was warm, creamy, and exactly what my soul needed, and the chips with that jalapeño ranch were the cherry on top. Speaking of cherries, we also got the Tito's cherry limeade, and it was the spring we didn't know we needed to bounce. Crisp, cold, a little dangerous in the cutest way, and honestly adorable -- the perfect little kick to start the meal. Our waiter was top notch: kind, attentive, and somehow always there right when we needed something without ever hovering. That kind of service makes the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable. For food, we ordered the Baja shrimp tacos, and when I say the shrimp is BIG, I mean it (and no, we're definitely not out here flattering any men ). The shrimp was cooked perfectly, flavorful, and absolutely the star of the plate. They came with rice and beans, and even though I forgot to ask for the cilantro lime rice , I was still super happy with everything. We also got the steak fajita Tex-Mex burrito bowl, and every single bite just kept getting better. The steak was tender, packed with flavor, and once it all got mixed together with the salsa and scooped up on the crispy tostada, it was perfection. This meal was such a good reminder of why Chuy's became a favorite for me in the first place -- fun atmosphere, great food, amazing service, and one of those dinners that just hits from the first chip to the last bite.
