Easy parking in lot shared with Market Street. I went Sunday around noon for brunch and was quickly greeted & seated. There was only one other table at the time which was a surprise. They proudly serve fresh, made-from-scratch Latin food. They state they use real premium ingredients: fresh produce, all natural cheeses, sustainably-sourced seafood and preservative-free tortillas. I was immediately greeted & seated. Waitress brought my water along with some CHIPS & SALSA. The chips are delicious- super thin & crispy. The salsa was fresh & flavorful - medium heat level. There were so many great things on the brunch menu that made it hard to choose. I ended up with the BREAKFAST QUESADILLAS ($13) with crispy bacon, egg, & a perfectly melty cheese. The pico de gallo on the plate was also fresh. Large portion, I brought half home that I'll get another meal out of. When I was leaving, several staff members said bye, thanked me coming, & told me to have a good day. Wow! That's unfortunately rare these days and was much appreciated. When in Texas, this is our go to for tacos and nachos. They use queso on their nachos so they are nice and juicy with lots of meat. Most places like to use cheddar cheese on their nachos so you end up you a block of chips glued together with cheese - yuck! My wife loves the skinny margaritas and claims that they are better than anything back home in Florida. The sauces are nice and spicy and I really miss that. Hot in Florida = Mild in Texas. If you are looking for authentic Tex-Mex, this probably isn't your place. But the food has really good flavor, thumbs up for their chips and salsa, and the staff is always super friendly which is a plus. Dear owner of Taco Ocho, I love my Taco Ocho in Flower Mound. I ordered in the late afternoon this time instead of lunchtime. On a small takeout order, I tipped almost 4 dollars and then had to ask for the chips and salsa that come with my order. This is my problem with tipping for takeout or anytime I'm standing up to order. She did apologize, but I should've been offered another tiny small salsa for them forgetting to give it to me in the first place. I wish I would've walked back in to ask for that, but decided not to. I also tried to call the restaurant to ask about their specials and they don't answer the phone. And there's no contact us button on your website. So food is good but service and ways to be reached need improvement. Please do better because I want you to stay in business so that I can enjoy my delicious tacos. read more

You must try this restaurant. Today I decided to go to this restaurant that I have driven by dozens of times. I looked up the potential of specials because it was Taco Tuesday. Yup, they celebrate it in style. 2 large delicious tacos off their regular menu (they refer to them as craft tacos and I figured they would be a special small version, but they are large and great. They provide chips with really good salsa. All at a great price. Totally delicious! We each had beef fajita tacos. They were the best I have had in a long time. It was an early dinner at 4:00. Not many people yet. Ava was our server and she was efficient and nice. I was not impressed with the 5$ margarita and do not recommend it, tasted like no alcohol in it, but the food quality made up for it. I will be a regular patron. Shame on me for two reasons...1) for taking so long for reviewing this restaurant and 2) for taking so long to try their brunch! We love Taco Ocho. It's super close to our home, and it offers a wide variety of Latin menu choices. It is owned by a local family and always has wonderful service. The food is favorable and delicious. They offer lots of vegan and gluten free choices. So the brunch...OMG! So many breakfast choices. I finally decided on the huevos rancheros, and my meal was delicious. They have lots of brunch drink specials...including $4 mimosas and an amazing Prickly Pear Margarita - which is as tasty as it is pretty! This may be my new favorite taco place. A friend told me it was very good. It is right next to Market Street, which is my grocery store of choice, when I grocery shop. So, I am near it all the time but had never been. I finally asked a friend to meet me there for lunch. It was an excellent decision. We both enjoyed it. The waiter was very pleasant and offered great service. He checked on us every so often, without hovering, and improved our dining experience. We each got the two taco meals. The rice, refried black beans and corn side was excellent. Black beans are always my first bean choice. My friend loved the Latin Love and Pork tacos that she had. Came here recently after finding this location near me via the Happy Cow app. Pleasantly surprised at the number of vegan options! The chips & salsa are great. Service was quick & helpful with suggestions. I ended up having a taco plate with the Pura Vida and the Rico Ocho and the plate came with rice and refried black beans. Overall, I thought they weren't bad but wished for a bit more flavor to them. Maybe a squeeze of lime or a little salsa spice would've been nice. To be fair, I was in a bit of a hurry so didn't get to sit & savor my lunch so maybe a second chance is in order. What a great place to watch the fifa World Cup! The restaurant opens its space to make it the perfect spot for a watch party. Very fun, colorful vibes! In regards to food, my group of 5 ordered the loaded nachos and each a 2 taco plate which is pretty pricey but, you get a generous serving of beans and rice with your tacos. The tacos were all very big, packed with lots of meat and toppings which I appreciated. They also give you the option for corn or flour tortilla for each taco! I had the Cabo fish and vegan pita vida and both were so tasty! Highly recommend trying pita vida, it was incredibly satiating for a vegan taco. The service was also super friendly! Cute small Torchy's Taco Restaurant style ambiance. We have been driving by this place for a year since we live close and decided to finally try this place out! Came in for a late lunch on Saturday and there was no line! Right when we walked in, the menu and register is there for you to go up to when you are ready to order! Ordered a Pulled Pork nacho to share with my fiancé and I since we just needed a quick snack. The order came out within 5 minutes and it was delicious! Salsa on the side was a plus, had a chipotle style taste (without the heat). The pulled pork was cooked correctly and the queso was not watery! Good chip to sauce portion, every single chip got pulled pork, white queso, & pico! Yum yum! My fiancé is from SC and he rarely finds any white queso serving restaurants. He was so excited and this will be a spot we will be coming back to try again! 4/5 stars since the chips were not hot, seemed to be on a warmer that wasn't heated. I've been a fan of this place ever since it opened but I can't understand why it is not talked about more/ not ever really busy. All of the tacos are so delicious and flavorful, and even some of the Chan ones like the Rico ocho and ocho maya are some of my favorites! The rice and beans are also so unique and buttery. When ordering a two taco plate you get chips and salsa and their chips are so light and crispy paired with the smoky salsa. I wish the inside had warmer lighting and was more inviting because this place has such great potential. But never the less, I will always come here for some great food! read more

Today my and my friend decided we needed to try a new place for "breakfast" after our (night) shift was over. We had been looking up places and this place stuck out. We arrived and wow this place is more upscale than your typical taco place. Walked in and was instantly greeted by the cashier, she was the sweetest and so helpful. I ordered the taco plate and decided on the Latin Love tacos on corn tortillas and it comes with salsa, chips, black beans and rice, basically plenty of food. We chose a comfy booth with a great view, especially with all the windows. The drink station was so clean and organized. Not to mention the different drink choices than your average fast food place. As we were coming to our table the cashier brought out our chips, salsa and queso. Wow, the queso had such a good flavor, so good you can tell it's not fake out of a can or melted Velveta, but it was actual cheese. And the salsa had a great flavor and just enough spice for my liking. Chips were on point, fresh, thin and crispy. Not even 5 minutes she was bringing out our plates. It was plated to beautifully. My first bite was heaven, it was hot and the tortillas were soft and slightly crispy, but not too much. The meat in the middle reminded me of brisket and was so tender. Beans and rice both were on point, I added a little salsa to mine for added flavor. Overall I was super impressed. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite casual Mexican spots!! Their queso blanco is phenomenal along with the thin crispy hot chips. I could make a meal out of that alone. Everyone knows that when it comes to queso...the BLANCO reigns supreme (I said it, fight me). They are always doing specials on beverages and daily specials on tacos and such during the week. The bar area is massive and takes up a lot of the restaurant so perfect to just pop on in solo if you're in the area or to grab a bite after a run or workout. FloMo is a very popular part of town for runners and mountain bikers so I often see a lot of my fellow friends in here with their clubs and groups. The frozen margaritas do not disappoint. They are very smooth and icy on a hot summer day! They also have a small patio outside with umbrellas. I recommend getting the brisket tacos on corn tortillas. The food is just wonderful and fresh!
