Switched with husbands for chicken enchilada and it was better with the cheese sauce on the top. I like cheddar and Colby Jack cheeses better than a cheese sauce so I probably wouldn't get enchiladas again. My friend got something different and it was delicious so I'll order that next time if in town again. Fave orders for me: beef tacos al carbon, Jay's chicken tacos, crazy nachos, tortilla soup, cheese enchiladas with ranchero sauce. Honestly it's all delicious! I enjoy coming here when visiting family in the area. The food is consistently good and my favorite is the Poblano a la Parilla or poblano peppers stuffed with a chicken onion, pepper and cheese filling. The margaritas are good and always decorated with a beautiful flower which is a nice touch. The service is prompt and efficient without the excessive hovering some places seem to insist on. We have been here a few times and notice that the food is consistenly good, the drinks fantastic and service always top notch. Always love the table side preparations.....those are done well. This was one of our favorite Mexican restaurant. The food was as good as usual however, the service has gone downhill. The last visit the restaurant was not real busy but we were seated right by the front door where there was blast of cold air everytime the door was opened. I started to say something but the guy that seated uo just walked away. After taking our order we never saw the waitress again until busboy took the plates away. She walked up and asked if there would be anything else. I said no, just the check, she whipped out a calculator looking thing with a screen, the total and a selections of TIPS. She stood over me while I used the stylus to check a box and sign. Sort of intimidating to leave a bigger tip. The food was very mediocre , we came on a Thursday at 11am (at opened) so it was very quiet which we liked! The servers were very attentive but we were 2 out of 4 people there so I would hope they would be lol. We ordered water with lemon. Did not get the lemon had to ask 2 times for lemons before we actually got them. We ordered a cup of the yellow queso which was BLAH, felt like it came out of a can and was warmed up. My husband ordered the lunch chicken fajitas where he said they tasted amazing , gave a 10/10 for that. I however had the #9 on the lunch menu which was the tostadas. There was waaaaaayyy too much lettuce on the 2 and not enough queso fresco, sour cream, beans, guacamole. The third tostada was just the queso poured on it which I was let down by. Overall, not bad. It is a Tex Mex chain so you can't really expect anything spectacular but I think they could've done much better. It's great that they do table side guacamole, this was a big hit with the kids. However, the guacamole was over salted. We also ordered the salmon and it was overcooked. You can tell that the ingredients were fresh and high quality but the execution was just not there. The burrito lunch special was not very special at all, it was just ground beef wrapped inside a cold tortilla. People go out to eat to have food that they can't make at home, in my opinion, I could make their food at home and honestly, mine would probably be better. Service and atmosphere were great which is why I'm giving it 3 stars. And it's not like the food was bad, it just wasn't anything special. read more

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant. They recently changed the chips and they are so delicious! Great margaritas too. We come here about 1 a week and the service is always amazing. They have a patio if you prefer to sit outside. I recommend trying the chicken tortilla soup. read more

From the moment we walked in we felt so welcome. All the staff here is incredibly friendly and accommodating. We started with their margaritas which are so smooth and sweet that you might not didn't realize how strong they really are. For entrees my husband and I both got chicken enchiladas, verdes for him and picante for me. The only thing I would change about my meal was the level of heat. I was expecting it to be just a little spicier than it was based on the description. Other than that, our dinner was perfect. They convinced us to get dessert which we normally don't get. I've been here a number of times and the food is good. I would always have given it 4 stars for sure. However, I happen to have had the Chicken Primavera the last time and it was absolutely fantastic! Huge portion, lots of vegeables and savory, light sauce with mushrooms on a really big piece of chicken. Cooked perfectly. I ate at the bar and was served by the bartender for both food and liquor. He was the ONLY bartender. This guy was the hardest working person in the whole restaurant. I don't know how he did it all - and was so happy the whole time. The ceviche here is something that you absolutely MUST order! It truly is a simple dish but it is oh so good. With perfect clean ingredients and plenty of avocado and cilantro which are two of my favorite food items in the universe. I did order a little bit more of the fresh guacamole on the side. Extremely delicious. At the time I was sitting at the bar and next to me some patrons ordered the huge tableside guac which looked quite tasty as well. So if you are guac fan just know that is what you need to get as a side dish or as your app. All of the other food here IMO is pretty comparable to other Tex Mex restaurants in the area. And TBH there are already too many of those in FloMo. Nothing here truly stands out especially the margaritas. I prefer them frozen this time of year...it just tasted like a slushie drink to me. Prices are pretty up there as well. So this is a good spot if you like ceviche, atmosphere, decent service and just alright cuisine. We hadn't been to Anamia's in over a year and last time we had been it had just been OK. It was very different on this visit, it was a very short wait. The restaurant looked a little different than I remember it from last time, mostly the decor looked different. I ordered the Carne Asada which is one of my favorite's. The carne asada is ribeye meat which gives it a great flavor. It came grilled exactly as I had requested, medium and was also served with their bean soup, rice, guacamole and pico de gallo. The presentation of the dish also looked nice than in past visits. It was so good, I couldn't stop eating until everything was gone. The grilled green onion was different from past visits and gave the dish a nice flavor. I finished off the meal with Sopapilla, you can order just one or an order of 3 or however you want to order. I love Sopapilla, a sweet dessert to finish a good meal yet it's pretty light so you don't get overly full. Our server was Jorge, he was fun to be around and laid back yet was always there when we needed anything or wanted to ask a question. We'll definitely be back much sooner next time! read more
