Bottom line: this is no less than the very best meat I've had in the bay area, you must try it. I came as part of a birthday party with my family. There was little or no wait because we had a rez! at 5pm, there were not too many people. Their menu has 2 options: AYCE and alcarte. Their AYCE option has normal or premium, and premium has ayce US wagyu and their japanese cuts cost 5-14$ per plate more. Firstly, their sides were all pretty good. The wagyu fried rice was decent and the banchan was also good. They don't cook for you and you cook it yourself. The A5 was terrific. When I say A5 I mean we ordered ribeye, beef tongue, rib cap. Amazing stuff- on par with what I had in japan, as certified by the grade. Though it does cost more per plate. What really shocked me was their US Wagyu. Their kalbi and brisket were *insanely* marbled. I personally though they tasted even better than A5 cuts at other "Ayce" A5 places, because the cuts they often give are the not fatty cuts. Since A5 is measured by ribeye, A5 knuckle, etc. may not be as tender as US Wagyu kalbi. And boy, we had so many of their US Wagyu it was amazing. Had a fantastic experience and highly recommend anyone to come here!

Food is amazing and meats were delicious. Service is also good and staff is very attention and friendly. The only only problem is not enough parking space. Not too busy, but food came out fast. My favorite is their Special Cuts "Zabuton" and their Thin Beef Tongue! They rotate special everyday and it comes for free with the premium AYCE plan. Good for large parties and they take reservations on the phone.

We visited Meat Time around 6 pm on a Friday and were seated right away. The staff was friendly, and there's a large parking lot, so parking was easy. Of all the meats we tried, the Yakishabu Ribeye was the only one that really stood out to me. The sauces were interesting and different from what I've had at other KBBQ spots, but the appetizers were pretty average overall. The Wagyu Fried Rice came out cold, and the Curry Rice was sweeter than I personally prefer. Portions are also on the smaller side, so depending on your appetite, the all-you-can-eat option may be more worthwhile. It is a little pricey, though. I think better appetizers and sides, especially serving the fried rice hot, would have made the meal more memorable overall.

    This place is very delicious

Every so often my body, my palate, my being craves meat. Like, lots of it. As long as it's a good cut(s) and delivered with love and happiness. Because if those stars align, it's Meat Time. I've only been twice and will meter return visits so as to not wear this out. Because the temptation for all the time to be Meat Time is totally there. I won't trouble you with anything other than this - not getting the AYCE is a fine way to go. As is the other. Just depends on how you're feeling. In the former construct the portions and choices are generous. You can't go wrong with this hidden Milpitas gem.

Meat Time is soooo good! My favorite Japanese BBQ place in the South Bay! Plenty of parking (although there are no lights and it gets really dark). We stopped by on a Monday night and got seated right away. Me and my group got premium AYCE and thought it was such great quality for the price. Favorite meats I recommend: - Hotate Scallop - Ootoro Kalbi - Kainomi - Beef tongue The time limit is 90 minutes and last call is at 75. Service was great and our server was very attentive!! They also have happy hour Monday through Thursdays.

This was our first visit to Meat Time, and we would definitely come back! As soon as we walked in, the hostess greeted us warmly and showed us to our table. Since it was our first time, she took the time to explain the menu and gave us a chance to look everything over before ordering. We decided to go with the base AYCE option since my kids don't eat much. One thing I appreciated is that they offer discounted AYCE pricing for kids. For the base plan, children ages 5-8 are $12, while ages 9-12 are $24. Each person in the party can order two portions of meat to start, followed by one portion of meat per person for each additional round. The sides are unlimited. The meat quality was good, and the portions were generous. We ordered a variety of meats and sides, including: Pork Belly, Pork Jowl, Brisket, Garlic Marinated Kalbi, Beef Belly ($4), Otoro Kalbi ($4), Shiodare Kalbi ($4), Vegetables (onions, asparagus, and shiitake mushrooms), Appetizer Trio (bean sprouts, kimchi, and shiodare cucumbers), Wrapping Lettuce, Seaweed, Cold Tofu, and Mini Curry Rice. Our server recommended the Golden Egg Yolk Sauce and Green Onion Sauce since they were popular, and she also brought out the other sauces for us to try. Of all the sauces, my favorite was the Golden Egg Yolk Sauce, along with the jalapeño sauce, which paired especially well with the pork belly and pork jowl. Our server also knew we were celebrating my little one's birthday and kindly comped a dessert for him. It was such a sweet gesture and a wonderful way to end our meal! Overall, we had a great first experience at Meat Time. Between the good-quality meats, generous portions, kid-friendly pricing, and thoughtful service, we would definitely return.

This is always a favorite of ours. The meat quality is always good, the bon chon is plenty, and that service is fast. We came on a Thursday and got seated right away. Everything we ordered came out quick and the variety of sauces is on point. I love the house sauce with the egg. The Wagyu fried was so good we had to order a serving togo. We got the premium selection so it was pretty pricey, but if you eat a lot, you can get your moneys worth.

Meat Time is soo good!! My girlfriend and I came here for our date night and it didn't disappoint! We got the ayce premium plan for $72/ person and it was sooo worth it! My favorite meats were the ichibo picanha as well as one of their specials of the day the misuji kalbi. I also really loved the potato salad appetizer and the kimchi. We will definitely be coming back!!!

Came here for my first time today and was pleasantly surprised at how fantastic everything was. Our group went with the premium AYCE plan, which I would highly recommend. The meat selection and quality was wonderful all across, which I wouldn't say lightly, especially for an AYCE BBQ spot. I often find at other restaurants there are a few meat choices where the meat is too lean/chewy, etc. but I was thoroughly impressed at how flavorful, tender, and well balanced all the meat cuts were. (We tried every beef dish.) Our favorites were the Teres major steak, beef belly and brisket, and the garlic marinated kalbi. Besides the meat, the side dishes and sauces were also great! I'd recommend getting the seaweed soup as a palate cleanser for the end of your meal and trying all of their sauces. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly, and we also met the owner who gave us a friendly welcome. Will definitely be coming back--one of the best AYCE experiences I've had in the bay area recently.

Wagyu had really good marbling and juicy. Staff here were very helpful, fast and attentive. Parking may be limited so get here early.

The quality of the meat is amazing! My favorite cuts were the otoro kalbi, brisket and their special misuji kalbi! I recommend getting their golden egg yolk sauce and green onion sauce, it pairs well with all the meats. The service is attentive, and fast. The vibes on a Tuesday night is chill, I highly recommend this place :)

It is in the general area with Cere Tea and Koi Palace. We arrived around 6PM and were seated immediately. We came for the seafood don and both got the UME with an addition of the ochazuke set. For $26 + 4.5 for the set, I think it's really worth the price and you get a good amount of fresh fish. Each bite felt like I was transported to Japan and eating a Kaisendon. Although we had to wait for a bit for the dashi soup to arrive , it was a delicious end to our meal. So comforting and hearty.

Loved the quaint atmo, dark colors with zen vibes and the small space made me feel like I found a gem in an alley in Japan. Unique menu where they'll do a few fried apps, udon soups where they told me the noodles are homemade. And this rice seafood bowl where minced up tuna and other sushi ingredients are all in one bowl. I've had chirashi hundreds of times but I've never had a bowl quite like this...so I had to give it a whirl. Take Bowl ($33/4*) So this gets presented in a very Japanese fashion. On a tray with a decorative ceramic bowl containing the seafood and rice, a matching ceramic bottle of homemade soy sauce, a pickled cabbage side and a nice big wooden spoon. In that bowl is a base of warm plain short grain rice, topped with a generous mound of minced raw tuna, a little snow crab, a few chunks of raw scallop and this particular version has a ton of salmon roe. It is garnished with a small nori sheet, some scallions, pickled ginger and wasabi. So very familiar ingredients if you're a fan of sushi, but the experience is one I can say I've never done. Menu says to first make your own hand roll with that nori sheet, stuff it to your hearts content. Once that's done you can eat the bowl as you wish. Hopefully with a dousing of the soy/wasabi combo as the minced fish is completely plain, no seasoning. I kinda mixed the seafood mixture into the rice a bit, not sure if that's the move. Now here's my take on this new way to eat sushi ingredients. I liked it but I didn't love it. I think I would much rather just eat a chirashi or a tartare prep from a sushi chef, as those have texture and flavor added by a chef. Here you have to do everything yourself and often there can be a learning curve to the new experience. Like I had to add the soy/wasabi mix several times, as I just couldn't figure out the right amount as their soy sauce is much less salty than commercial versions. And I was too concerned on not going overboard and ruining my bowl, so I was doing it in a very cautious but cumbersome manner. Also since everything was so minced up, the overall texture is very one note, soft and mushy. At least with a chirashi you can sense each fish's firmness and unique texture. Here the chopped tuna, chopped scallop and shredded crab are all soft, and with the soft rice, was just a mush fest for me. There were small hunks of cucumber and pickled lotus root that gave little hits of crunch, but still not enough for me. I will say the seafood is very fresh and in good portioning. Fried Squid Legs ($4.50/4*) Very small skewer of trimmed up calamari tentacles fried tempura style. The fry is very light. The tentacles remain quite tender yet with a slight chew. But the crispness was minimized by the light fry. Still decent with the cold seafood bowl, to go back and forth on the bites. I'd still come back to try those homemade udon noodles, now that I've knocked out their seafood bowl. Give me an adventure and I'll delve right in. Thanks Yaichi for providing such an adventure.

It's a casual sushi spot - can't really be mad at it if you're getting pretty good casual sushi with very reasonable prices that most other places (that are also casual around the area) would likely charge a bit more for. And for that, I definitely would order from here again. Polite service. Reasonably priced compared to other local and casual sushi spots. Good sushi; not the best I've ever had but again, can't be mad at the quality for a small casual mom and pop type of spot that isn't as modern or elevated and focuses more on serving what they have regardless. I LIKE it lol period! I think it's lowkey an underrated sushi spot in the Milpitas area for a casual sit down. Yeah some of their rolls can use a little more work depending on what you order, but don't expect too much for a place that still gives you quality for what it is, you know. *If you prefer more modern or elevated or Michelin-like style, then this place is 100% not for you. (5 stars for the sando!). The sando came with two large chunks of pork cutlet (I assume that it is the same thick cutlet used in their curry and udon plates), slaw and sauce.it was as tasty as the sando one can get at a convenience store ("kombini") in Japan, say at 7-Eleven or Lawsons, but this one was steaming hot - very nice! I really appreciate the detail and care when preparing the plate. The hefty sando, though it came on a small brioche bun, was sitting on a raised metal grate to keep the bun from getting soaked from the sauce. Nice! The fries were super thin, but were crunchy, and they were lightly seasoned with furikake (seaweed seasoning). The tsukemono (pickled cucumber) were delightfully crunchy and slightly sweet. The rest of us in our party ordered Tonkatsu Curry over rice or Tonkatsu Udon. Very strange. A couple of us found the pork cutlet to be moist and juicy, while the other two found the cutlet to be dry. There must be a reason why this should be. But until the reason is found, this inconsistency prevents me from giving a fifth star. I am happy to see that since we first came to eat here three months ago, this restaurant has found its footing. But there are some improvements that need to be made to make this truly a five-star experience.
