So we order food on time. 1 of waiter explained only menu and said you have 90 mins eat. This is happen When almost time up waiter said last call almost time up ok I understand so I'm ok with that , then another waiter said you still have time do you want last order so me and my wife agree order 1 more, OMG 1st waiter said you only have 3 mins to finish and almost time up not finish we will charge $10 per person for leftover foods I was thinking wth we so rush eat . Make me mad . We finish time was 625. This main point another restaurant do all you can eat , you order last foods should give time to finish no rush you out. I understand don't waste foods but waiters explain politics not clear until we find on purple menu. Btw 625pm that time only total 5 tables feel like kicking you out that location is not that popular area if you run this kind business like that you will lose your business. We came all the way from Sacramento to try this very disappointed business. Food is good But house policy not clear . I came in the previous week with my girlfriend and I genuinely was surprised from my experience here. Typically yakiniku is really expensive, yet here there was a little something for everyone. The choice between AYCE and pre set meals is the way to go. Aside from that, our server Sheila was really helpful. She wasn't the uncanny nice, but the comforting nice that tied the experience together. Will be coming back! read more

A group of friends and I came here on a weekday evening to do all you can eat. It was pretty slow so we were able to get our food right away. Staff were friendly and very attentive. Good variety for the premium option, but a bit on the expensive side ($64 per person) for 90 minutes. Make sure you come in hungry to make the most of the experience! Delicious and the staff did a great job recommending various types of beef. Don't go with nice clothes on. Typical BBQ place where you walk out smelling smoky. Once we were seated, we were given a thorough overview of the menu, the specials , and the perfect drink pairing with certain meats. I was here for the soft opening. The place was packed. The wait can be 30 min or more if you don't have reservations. The waiters/waitresses are very friendly but they appeared to be short staffed for the amount of patrons they had. The food is solid. Meats were delicious. I'm used to my garlic edamame being more robust in taste. This one was light and subtle which is a good change. It's nice to switch up the flavors once in a while. The salad was refreshing. Rice dish was simple but tasty. Appetizers were a nice touch. The set menu offered more value and gave me a chance to try a little bit of everything. Ice cream at the end topped off the meal. Rocky soft opening, but could be a gem in the rough. We did the set menu for two from the soft opening menu. It was okay? Fried rice, three meats, edamame and an "appetizer trio", followed by a dessert. Three things, all of which might be growing pains from the soft opening: the trim on the meats left a bit of gristle/membrane I wouldn't expect, most things were under seasoned, and they were running out of things through the night. However, the meat and other ingredients were high quality, and with the right prep and seasoning I can definitely see this being a great place to go in the future. read more

Friendly and attentive staff. The Yakishabu Ribeye was the best. Try to get Shinshu premium wagyu stuff if you can. Unfortunately the regular meat cuts were a letdown after tasting the ribeye. I am sure they would be perfectly tasty but it was hard to follow the ribeye. 5 stars on that point alone. Fried stuff wasn't crunchy enough but the fries were tasty. Fried rice was good. 100% would have gotten more from shinshu menu. read more

Came by last time I was visiting and was craving some Japanese bbq. This place is very authentic and their meat selection is very big for an AYCE! Might be a little pricey but the quality of meat is super worth it if you're looking to treat yourself. We got the premium AYCE and ordered 3 rounds of food. First time here and definitely will come back! Their quality meats are delicious! We ordered a set menu Shinshu Premium Wagyu and it did not disappoint. Also added otoro kalbi and angus beef tongue. I would order all of these again. The staff gave great recommendations, were friendly and checked in with us often. It's barbecue so expect to take the smoke smell home with you. This is my new favorite place! The food here is so good! High quality meats and wonderful service! Highly recommend the marinaded pork cheek! Finally a place we can have authentic premium Japanese wagyu without having to fly to Japan. The wife and I tried many of their imported Japanese wagyu cuts and one of the rare cuts alongside with the beef tongue, some veggie wrappers and their pickled "radishes" (it's actually sweet potato, but it's very delicious), and ended it with the iced yuzu sherbet. The cuts here are top of the shelf stuff and definitely was worth the premium price tag. The staff was also very friendly as it was our first time there. They were very knowledgeable and helped cooked some of the cuts we're unfamiliar with and offered many recommendations. Their food portioning is equivalent to eating at a VERY fancy restaurant which betrays the overall ambiance of the restaurant. For example, upon entering the restaurant, I thought this was going to be a casual dine-in experience, but when the cuts came out, it was anything but casual. I think if they refined their restaurant to better match their top-shelf dining menu, it would set expectations of a premium Japanese wagyu restaurant straight. read more

The food tasted great! My favorite piece from the Shinsu Premier Meat was the chuck flap. It tasted very buttery and I paired it with the wasabi which was refreshing. The large intestine was very good and I enjoy being able to seer mine to the preference that I like (crispy). The eggplant appetizer was very delicious and my wife immensely enjoyed it. She normally does not like eggplant either. My daughter and niece enjoyed eating the wagyu fried rice and the Lotus Chips (ordered two because they ate the first one so quickly). Brand new spot that is going through a soft open with a take out menu only and once it is ready will do full dine in with japanese premium barbecue. I ordered their Premium Wagyu Gyutan Bento (Beef Tongue) and it was delicious. It came with a salad that was light and had a great dressing. It also comes with a Miso soup that was light on the stomach but still rich with flavor. The premium gyutan was thick cut which was new to me as I've only had thinly sliced gyutan in other restaurants but it was cooked perfectly. Came on a bed of rice with some veggies. Food was warm and ready on time for my take out order. Definitely go and try it when you can and I'm excited for when they open for full dine in. read more
