Mine was generally a good experience until something that offended me personally, which is why I decided to take my business elsewhere. On our first visit we met Jay who let us test drive and also helped point out some internet sales options we could consider. (Thanks Jay, appreciate your help). On our second visit we got to meet someone else, who looked more senior than Jay, and Jay wasn't available. It was Ok by us. We enumerated our requirements to him (It was basically a fully loaded Mazda 3 GT). They didn't have one in stock so this person offered to search for one and get back to us when he found one. He did reach out a couple of days later to let us know that he had found one in Oregon and that he can have it delivered to them. We went in to work out a deal. I basically showed him the TrueCar price distribution and asked him to make me an offer in their "Exceptional Price" range. It was basically about $1000 below his before tax price after manufacturer cash-back and Costco member price. I didn't think I was being too unreasonable as I was going by data. However this person sounded unhappy about the ask. The TrueCar data had showed that 6 people in nation had got the price I was asking for. The salesman said that maybe "someone in Arkansas" may have got that kind of deal, but that I won't get such a deal in the NorthWest. Eyebrow raising time #1. He then told me that his offer was already $2650 below MSRP, which, to be clear, was coming from $2000 cash-back from Mazda and $650 from Costco Auto Program. IOW, there is nothing from the dealership itself. Also, to be extra clear, up until this point I was not too put off by the negotiation. I understand that this is how it goes. And then it happened. I told him that nobody pays MSRP to which he responded with "certainly no Indian would have". Yikes. Really? Eyebrow raising time #2. Definitely feeling put off moment #1. If that off-hand, everyday racist remark hadn't been made, I would have definitely tried more negotiation. But I just felt too disgusted to ignore that and move forward. I basically checked-out after that. Stared at my tablet for a bit, waited for him to pause his spiel, exchanged some forced pleasantries with him and walked off. Sorry Mazda Of Everett. I think you have a nice dealership. Give Jay some extra reward this month. But I'm not comfortable giving my business to you. Hopefully you have some policy forbidding your salesman from expressing such biases going forward. read more

I ordered all weather floor mats for my Daughters new Mazda CX-5 for her birthday in February. I was told they would be in about three weeks later. Going on two months and have not heard a word on when she would get them. Called to speak to the person who sold them to us and I was told she was busy. Transferred me to VM which promptly hung up on me. It is funny when we were looking to buy the car, we would get immediate attention. However, now that the transaction is over, crickets. This is also the second issue which purchasing the vehicle. A brand new car with 4 miles on it should not have a check engine light come on a week after purchasing the vehicle. Took it into the service and was told it was either a computer glitch or something with the thermostat. Reset the computer and gave it back to my daughter only to have the check engine light come back on a day later. She took it back and was told it was a thermostat issue and the part would have to ordered from Japan and it would take three weeks. WTF? After my daughter sent a bad review to Mazda USA, she was called back and miraculously the part was found in Seattle and the car was fixed the next day. So my question is, I see above the owner says that is all about servicing and taking care of the customer. When is this going to happen? What does it take writing a bad review to get attention? Take care of your customer in the first place and these review will be 5 stars not 1 star read more

Applied for special financing online and was called shortly after by a rep named Fernando. Was told I was approved for a loan and that he was surprised because I don't have the greatest of credit. He pressured me to pass on my documentation via email so that they could finish the process and I did it because I'm desperate for a car. A little while later, he calls and starts giving me a run around, requesting more information, which I sent to him. He promised to get back to me within 10 minutes and still no answer. I sent him a text and an email and no word. I have no idea if who I even spoke to exists and am still without a car and missing work. I do not recommend dealing with them because they are not very reliable and just seem to want to get you in there or tell you what they think you want to hear but do not have the intent to help you. read more

Purchasing the car was painless and we had a very friendly, helpful salesman. With the purchase of our new car came a life time of FREE carwashes. Sounds great right? Never have to pay for another carwash! However we have owned our new car for 2 months now and taken it in 3 times for a carwash. The first time they didnt wash the tires, didnt even touch the tires (they were filthy). Second time, exact same issue. They didnt clean the tires so I brought it to the attention of the finance staff. Third time they didnt dry the car so water spots all over. During the third wash, my son waited for someone to come dry his car and when someone came to the window to tell him he was good to go, my son asked "arent you going to dry the car?" The other gentlemen responded by saying it was too cold! I have to say it may have been in the 50's but it was sunny and no reason they shouldnt have dried the car. I dont have time to complain everytime we get a carwash so maybe if they see this post they will reconsider the way the carwash runs. Its simple, the car should be cleaned from top to bottom and dried at the end of the car wash.......unless its pouring down rain! We are very disappointed with our FREE carwashes. They are not quality carwashes. We will take it elsewhere. read more

The purchase of my very first car was incredibly simple with these guys. I was specific in what I wanted - Dark gray, black cloth interior, manual transmission, hatchback - and this location was one of 2 in the state that had exactly what I was looking for. They worked well with me, my financing came through flawlessly, we were in and out in 3 hours. They offered to give me my first oil change for free, but since I live in Tacoma it just didn't work out. It's been 1.5 months and I'm till waiting for them to send in my gap insurance cancellation. Submitted my request in person. Waited 2-3 weeks, nothing happened. Called them and they said that the form is still waiting there to be submitted and that they'll email me when they do so. Well, that was a month ago. Now I'm trying to get a hold of someone there who would give me an update but can't go beyond the reception. No one else is answering. I went in on Saturday, early afternoon with an idea of what I wanted after picking a car from the website, but I wanted to look around anyway. I hate pushy salesmen, and when I was greeted, I stated I just wanted to look around and they left me alone to do what I wanted to do. When I was walking toward the showroom building, I came across Sheldon, who had sold my dad a car a few years ago. I asked him about the car I had found online since I didn't see it on the lot and the others didn't have the features I wanted, so he looked it up, grabbed it from the storage lot and took it for a test drive allowing me to take my chosen route. When we got back, it was such an easy sale! Such a smooth process, where everything was explained thoroughly and the amount they gave me for my trade was over KBB value. Absolutely awful. I sent a text to this dealer inquiring about a car, first mistake Frank made was texting me back telling me it was his day off. The following day (today) he text me back telling me he found some vehicles in my price range with my requirements for amenities. I was kind and told him that i was now considering Kia or Hyundai because of their lifetime power train warranties and the 5 year new car warranty Hyundai has. He went on to tell me that Mazda's are voted the least cost to own the last 5 years, which may be true nation wise, but when you take into consideration the lifetime power train warranty Kia and Hyundai are offering, it's a no brainer... or so i thought. Then frank got even more pushy telling me kia and Hyundai sometimes needed to have that warranty and that I needed to read the fine print, and how the lifetime warranty works and that Mazda doesn't use gimmicks like the tires for life or the lifetime warranty. Frank was highly unprofessional and i finally told him that I'm in sales myself and don't appreciate his approach. I found him to be rude, pushy and unprofessional. Even if I did reconsider buying a Mazda it most certainly would not be from this dealership. read more

Great initial service by the sales folks, but in the end I didn't get the car I wanted. They definitely pressure to buy today, even make promises that you can change tomorrow. They don't honor the intent of that agreement. Not a big deal... I just wanted a different Mazda and they wouldn't swap even though they mentioned it was possible. When I asked to do it, they wanted to give me $5k in negative equity on a car that had 40 miles on it. Broken promises. I saw other comments about car wash service... I agree, it is very poor. A couple things up front - I'm an older guy who strongly dislikes the traditional new car buying "experience". And it always pays to do your homework - use Truecar.com to see what folks are paying for the vehicle you are looking at, Edmunds and Kelly Blue Book to estimate the value of your trade in. I also chose to try the Costco car buying service (Mazda of Everett is a member). I have several years of positive experience with Mazda of Everett since they have provided maintenance on my older Mazda. They do the work they say and for me never try to up sell service. This car buying was the easiest and most positive of my 40 year car buying history. I worked with Joe Garcia who was friendly and knowledgable. There was never any of those "I need to talk to my manager" breaks that I experience at the Mazda dealer I purchased my previous car from. I got the car I wanted (with only the options I wanted) at a price significantly lower than the Truecar average. I can't say that everyone will have as good an experience as I had but this is completely in line with all my other dealings with Mazda of Everett so I will definitely be going back to them. read more

Be cautious when working with Mazda of Everett: I worked with two salesmen at Everett Mazda, one named TJ the other mans name I forget. I spoke with TJ on the phone (who seemed like a nice guy) and he suggested I hold a Mazda3 I was interested in until I could go up there and look at it ...but I just had to put down a deposit for $200. He told me that I could get my deposit back at "any point" for "any or no reason", so I assumed there was no danger or reason for concern (a mistake, it turns out). After continuing to shop around, I found a much better deal with Sonny at University Mazda (check him out). Anyway, (FYI, I can't even list in this review all the other issues I have had with these guys, but believe me when I say it was stereotypical car salesmen techniques from this point out) when I called to get the deposit returned because I found a better deal, he reported that I would have to drive all the way up to Everett and "talk to him" about it in order to get it returned, and that I may not be able to get the money back at all. I asked to speak to his manager and he said, "I'll have him call you" and hung up. The only reason I could imagine for him doing so is spite for me not buying a car from his dealership. TJ seemed like a real nice guy when I was working with him at first, however this is simply uncalled for and unprofessional. Later I attempted to call again about getting my deposit back. After being hung up on several times by the receptionist (which, c'mon; really?), I eventually spoke with Jerry, the owner of Mazda of Everett (the guy who keeps responding to these Yelp reviews). I asked Jerry about getting my money back. He proceeded to insinuate that I was lying about some verbal agreement I had made with TJ, and kept slyly trying to suggest that the deposit I put down equaled a binding agreement (which I was assured by TJ that it was not). He even claimed he was "standing right by TJ when he was talking to you, and he didn't say that you could get your money back", which; lol. Ok, man. He kept at it, for what purpose other than wasting my time I have no idea, as we both knew how it was going to end. He ended with, "whatever, guy, whatever your name is. Enjoy your car. You'll be getting your money back," and hung up the phone. I mean, super unprofessional. I'm sorry because I hate leaving bad reviews but watch out for these guys. read more

Salesperson called me and provided the price for CX-5 that I wanted , but when I went there it was totally different and I'm unhappy with that. I've waited for 1 hour to get the final price and its big surprise regarding the price. Then after sometime Salesperson offered me a price which I'm comfortable but then he got back to me saying that owner did not agreed for that price. I was about to leave from that place. The worst experience I ever had at a dealership! Before I went in I let Brandon the sales person who contacted me that my credit is well below average and that I had some stuff on my credit that I am working on to fix my credit. I know there's a good chance that I may not got approved so I didn't want to come in. Sure enough he claimed that I was already qualified for 0 down payment if I was to come in soon. Went in that day, gathered all documents he requested. Let him know I've been working since April but recently started a new job this month so I won't have enough income to show and he said that was fine. I even brought my W2s for proof. Spent 3 damn hours at their shop and he passed my information on to Radek because he had another appt that came in. How unprofessional is that?! Then I had to explain my situation to Radek, he said I should use a cosigner and my friend that was with me was kind enough to agree, not only did she agree to that but she even used her own time to gather her income for proof. They were closing at 7 so he told me that he will get back to me the next day which was going to be Wednesday. Next day, I waited and waited didn't hear back, called the dealership and they said he would be in at 11:15. Called him around 12:30 spoke to him, got nothing but told me to wait a few more hrs. I got off work at 3:30 went straight to the dealership and asked for him, waited another hr and he didn't come down. I had to ask for him twice! He finally came down and told me they need someone with more income to be my cosigner which was total BS to me. Got my bfn to be my cosigner and got all his information, mind you I've been waiting 2hrs by now. Again they were closing so he told me he will contact me tmrw and promise to follow up. The next day, Thursday, I waited and waited until 2. Didn't hear back so I called again. Guess what? He wasn't even working that day! He was off and he knew it and played me and my patience. Left me hanging with no damn follow up. I called to speak to a supervisor and asked if this was how they treated customers who are less than qualified for a car loan. I believe his name was John, he so called apologized and said he was sorry that RADEK didn't follow up with me. He claimed to help me and will contact me within the hr. I waited an hr, still nothing. He finally called me back two hours later and didn't say anything but let me know he left RADEK a message to follow up with me and he still didn't. I let John know he never called. This was a week ago starting from Tuesday, it's Monday, Feb 27th now and guess what..... STILL NOTHING from anyone. I don't care about the fact that I didn't get approved for a loan, it's the fact that I went to their shop two days in a row. Wasted my damn time gathering documents they have requested only to hear nothing back. I do not recommend anyone going to this dealership. They only help ppl who they can get money from. IF YOU SAY YOU ARE GOING TO FOLLOW UP WITH A CUSTOMER, THEN FOLLOW UP! PPL GET TURNED DOWN ALL THE TIME. THE FACT THAT THEY TREATED ME SO POORLY AND PRETTY MUCH DISCRIMINATED AGAINST ME BECAUSE I HAD POOR CREDIT IS NOT OK. read more

I have been searching for auto financing for about 4 months now. They pulled my info from another place I applied for and called me saying that I was approved. I found this to be exciting but also unusual because I have been told NO by so many places. They had me travel from Renton to Everett and said I would be leaving with a car. I told Brandon, the guy that called me not to waste my time because every other place I went to told me NO. I go there and as soon as I get there I find out that they haven't even run my credit. Which means they lied about me being approved. They run my credit and then come back with my entire credit history to lecture me about it. I am very aware of my credit problems. They tell me I'm approved IF I get a consigner. That means I'm not approved! They wasted my time, made me feel like crap and added one more ding to my already depreciating credit. I think if you request someone not waste your time they should respect that and not bring me an hour away just to tell me something I already knew. That's bad business. read more

While looking to buy a Mazda with my boyfriend, we had the misfortune of working with Tim. Not only was he incompetent, but wanted to spend more time discussing his outdoor hobbies than the various merits of his inventory. My boyfriend had done hours of research on the cars prior to test driving, and he had many appropriate reasonable questions for Tim who was distracted and less than helpful. When stating that one of the cars smelled like cigarette smoke, Tim told us that this was the "car detailing smell," blatantly lying to us. But the worst part was when it came to discussing financing. The rate that was given to us was extremely high even though my significant other had great credit and a willing co-signer if needed. Based off the rate we wanted time to think about the purchase, and this seemed to infuriate Tim, and prompted him to become exceedingly unpleasant. Not only did he do a poor job of explaining things to begin with, but was angry when we even mentioned needing more time before signing away thousands of dollars. Also, I forgot to mention that My boyfriend had his heart set on a 2017 Mazda that he had been discussing via email with Tim. When we arrived at the dealership, the car had been sold without us being told before our scheduled meeting, even though this was the car we wanted. Tim did not appear apologetic whatsoever. To sum up, this dealership has 100% lost our business and we will definitely be buying a car elsewhere. Recently bought the Mazda CX-5 from this place. Had great and smooth experience with the purchase although it did took a long time to come to an agreeable price. To my surprise when the license plates came in, I had to pay close to 100$ for that. How could a dealership selling cars for a long time not estimate the license fees properly in sales price? This is my 4th car and I never had this problems with other 3 cars at other dealerships. I believe just to give me a price that I agree to they put the license fee at lower cost and had me pay later which is bad practice. I was tired after hours of price negotiation and skipped looking at this at final purchase sheet. Caution other buyers to pay extra attention to final sheet and not what the sales rep is telling you. I will have to think about taking my care for service in future given that I am thinking about business practice followed here. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just to update on Jerry's response, the initial quote has upwards of 200$ for license fee which seemed okay to me. But as we negotiated the price and agreed on final price, I was presented with agreement to sign and I did mentioned earlier that I overlooked the license fee in that but as a customer I would imagine the license fee won't change. So future customers please pay close attention to final agreement and numbers and not anything else. Rest everything is just to get you agree to a price. Never had such thing happened with any other (Honda and Toyota) dealerships before. For me atleast, this counts towards business practice. read more

DO NOT GO! After 3 weeks they called & said my current loan structure was not approved and wanted me to come in and re-sign, even tho I did leave the place that day with a contract bill of sale. Would not give me details on my new choices in email like I requested and kept harassing and being very rude. Mick Jones in financing is a hothead and very rude to say the least. I sent a mssg to one of the owners, Jerry, and never heard back. They shouldn't have let me go that night if they didn't have correct financing in place. Very rinky-dink. I sell cars at another dealer and my expiernce at Mazda was one of the worst 4.5 hours of my life, Not only was I Blatantly lied to by the owner about how much the price was dropped on the car, Or wait over 20 min. for them to pull her credit, And watch him help out other guest and keep us waiting.
