I am writing to formally express my concern regarding the handling of my 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid repair at Lynnwood Honda. On May 15, 2026, I brought my vehicle to Lynnwood Honda for a diagnostic inspection. At the time, my vehicle had approximately 129,000 miles. Your service advisor, Ashley Low, informed me that coolant/radiator fluid had entered the engine combustion chamber and that the vehicle required a head gasket replacement. I was provided an initial repair estimate that included: * Head gasket replacement: $4,980.56 * Resurfacing: $300 * Thermostat replacement: $298.11 * Spark plug replacement: $194.44 Because the repair cost was beyond my ability to afford, I contacted Honda of America requesting goodwill assistance. After reviewing my case, Honda approved goodwill assistance, and I was informed by Olivia at Honda that I would only be responsible for approximately $3,700 toward the repair. After the goodwill approval, Lynnwood Honda completed only the head gasket replacement. However, I was not provided with a detailed explanation of the actual work performed, the parts replaced, labor charges, or a complete itemized repair invoice showing how the goodwill assistance was applied. When I requested a detailed breakdown of the work order, Ashley Low told me that the information was "confidential" and asked me to pay an additional $2,800. I find this response unacceptable. As the vehicle owner and customer, I have the right to receive a clear and itemized record of the repairs performed on my vehicle and the charges associated with those repairs. Additionally, after such a major engine repair, I am extremely concerned that basic related service, such as an oil change, was not performed or documented. The original estimate included additional recommended repairs, but I have not received a clear explanation as to what was completed, what was not completed, and why. I respectfully request the following: 1. A complete itemized invoice/work order showing: * Parts replaced * Labor performed * Labor hours and rates * Total cost of the head gasket repair * How Honda goodwill assistance was applied 2. A written explanation of why I was not provided this documentation when requested. 3. A written explanation of why additional payment of $2,800 is being requested after Honda's goodwill assistance approval. 4. Confirmation of all repairs and services actually performed, including whether oil was changed and whether any other required post-repair procedures were completed. I have been a Honda customer and trusted Lynnwood Honda to properly diagnose and repair my vehicle. We recently bought another Honda from Lynnwood Honda. This time, our salesman was a fellow named Bic. I have to say that Bic was absolutely great. He was prompt, responsive, professional and down to earth - good forward energy, but no pressure. Further, after the sale, his follow up (purely for our benefit) was EXCELLENT. We had a couple of post-sale items - some very light paint touch up, in addition to the usual things (like plates). He was on top of it all. Many/most salespeople generally forget who you are after the sale, until they think they have something to sell you again. Not Bic. Further, while I was never confused in who he works for, he did an amazing job of making us feel that he was on "our side" - advocating for us and trying to be as helpful as he could be. The Sales Manager, Keith, was also very proactive and super helpful in the process. When I brought up a few minor scratches and one small dent, he immediately agreed to take care of them (at dealer's expense). The ding came out great. The touch up was okay (not perfect, but it's touchup) -- but, he and Bic followed up and made it all happen quickly after we bought the car (e.g., the following week). And, he and Bic made sure that they had the car back to us the next day. JUST EXCELLENT SERVICE. Another manager (perhaps Keith's manager - sorry I do not recall his name) was also very welcoming and helpful, checking in on us several times during the process just to make sure things were going well for us - which they were. Lastly, props to their finance guy. (Apologies, I do not recall his name.) I told them during the negotiation that I wanted to get in and out quickly. I've never experienced speed like this at any dealer. I would say it took no less than 15-20 mins. to get through that part of the process. No high pressure add-on sales, just help. Amazing!! Just amazing!! I've spent more time trying on shoes. Ever since these guys helped me get a car for my daughter on Christmas eve (yes, we literally found it and bought it on Christmas Day and had it "under the tree" the next day), Lynnwood Honda has been my first (and usually last) stop when we need a car. read more

There wasn't too much pressure to upsell and completing the paperwork was pretty quick. The only thing that happened was someone forgot to remove the license plates from my trade-in and I got two tickets in the mail. Extremely BAD TERRIBLE service experience on two problems when I bring my for recall and oil change service. #1: Lynnwood Honda did not honor the 2 year 24000 mi new vehicle complementary services by refusing to provide the promised free oil change. I presented pictures and videos showing the oil life indicator was at 15% but was declined because I reset off the annoying reminder. #2: Lynnwood Honda unplugged my dash cam cable and never reconnected it after performing the recall. I was not notified, mentioned, or told at all on this. The dash cam is the most important device that suppose to provide me solid evidence in accident. I bought my lovely Honda FIT here 6 years ago. It was big, to me who had been driving a 2000 Hatchback. I learned how to drive it- felt safer on freeways and around the giant car sin fashion now. Over time I only came a 40-50 minute drive for specific Honda items. I was always treated so well. I 'used a locla close by service shop as oil changes etc were easier to get done 10 minutes away. Then I got a recall notice- scheduling took a few calls due to availability of parts and my time. Once I arrived for the recall replacement I was treated so courteously. Today I went up - early morning drive- for an oil change as my previous close-by place was sold. Once again I was reminded how well Honda customers at this location are treated. The customer service is lacking hugely.My sales rep was Courtney. I tried to schedule recalls for the car and it felt like pulling teeth. They would always tell me that they will call me to schedule me six months later nothing I had to come back again to ask to be scheduled.Travis in service is great he scheduled me fast. I dropped off my car early on Thursday at around 3 p.m. for a Friday recall service. Instead, they finished unexpectedly and texted me at 5:54 p.m. to pick it up--just six minutes before closing. Don't go here for service. We have purchased two cars from the dealership over 22 years and had three cars regularly serviced here during that time. The last time my wife's van was serviced, it was a horrible experience. After multiple meetings and a lot of persistence, they agreed to repair damage that was done during a regular inspection. We also had the car evaluated by another mechanic, who told us that much of what they were recommending was not required at this time. If an unexpected big repair is recommended get it double checked by somebody else. We are due for service again and we will not be coming back to this location. read more

My husband, a retired nurseryman, and I, a preschool special education teacher, went into Lynnwood Honda on Friday, January 23rd and spoke with a young man named Hedra Massoud. We were very clear with Hedra that the reason that we were there was to gather information and that we were not in a hurry to purchase a new car. We had 4 fully functioning cars and did not need to buy a car new right now but planned on doing so in the near future and were trying to get some information to make an informed decision prior to spending thousands of dollars on a vehicle. I wanted to make sure that I was getting the car I wanted. Hedra was fantastic and talked to us about the CRV Hybrid that we were interested in. We came back again on January 26th to test drive a CRV. Unsurprisingly, Hedra texted and phone a few times, as it is the way car salesmen keep you engaged. He was polite and offered to gather further information if we needed it. His promise was to make our future purchase "as easy, quick and smooth as possible". At one point in our text thread, he asked if we wanted to make a deposit to "hold the vehicle". We told him to sell it if he had a buyer that was interested as we were not in a hurry and could wait to find another. I then spoke with a colleague who purchased a car with the Costco discount and asked Hedra about it. He told me that he could share that "no hassle" price with me if I came into the dealership. I made a plan to come in on Friday, January 30. I told Hedra that I was not going to buy a car on Friday because I wasn't going to commit my husband's time to being at the meeting and was not going to purchase a vehicle without him. As it happended, my husband ended up meeting me there, but Hedra was busy with another customer so his co-worker, Rajeev "Raj" Khanna spoke with us and showed us the Costco pricing. It was an AWEFUL experience! Raj was abrupt, rude, disrespectful and dismissive. He told untruths, "You have already been here 4 times. Are you going to buy the car or not"--we had been there twice, once briefly and once to test drive. He physically stood over us as he put the invoice on the desk and used forceful, high-pressure tactics ("Are you guys going to do this. The deal won't get better". Are you going to commit or not?".) When we told him that we were not going to purchase the car that day, he told us that the "offer wouldn't be available tomorrow. Today it is raining and slow, tomorrow is Saturday and we will be busy. The offer won't be available then." Raj also told us that the Costco deals "change daily" so it won't be available at this price tomorrow (we have since found out that this is not true). It was terrible. My husband and I left the dealership and, as we were re-grouping in the parking lot, I looked up and saw Raj and one of his co-workers looking out the large windows and pointing at us, smiling. Like we were fools who had done something wrong. I was confused and embarrassed by what had just taken place and was near tears. We have NEVER been treated like this when we have purchased cars previously. It is not an experience that we wish to reward by spending our hard earned money at Lynnwood Honda--sorry, Hedra.... read more

I called them late last year and they said they would order the parts. - In January, I called and they said that they haven't heard anything and they would contact me when the part came in. - In February, Honda sent me a letter saying the part was now widely available. I called Lynnwood Honda and the person sounded annoyed and said that they would contact me when the part came in. - In March, I decided to call another place. They got the part in 5 days. Connor tried using every scammy manipulation tactic in the book when selling me my first car here including trying to push warranties on me and hide scratches in the pictures. It would take too long to describe all the ways I felt they tried to take advantage of me being a first time car buyer and a young girl. They tried to "make it right" after I pointed out the scratches that were hidden from me and ended up wet sanding the whole side of the car, devaluing it, and they forgot to detail it so it was covered in bondo dust after. I had the car for one week before they gave back to me covered in dust and with food wrappers shoved in the glove department. To add insult to injury, I told them beforehand that I was a detailer at a reputable body shop and we have just done the work ourselves. We dropped our 2019 Honda Hybrid accord that had some lights showing up on the dash screen. For four months they told us they were in contact with Honda technicians in Japan to figure it out. After almost 4 months, they called us and said there would be another $800 diagnostic cost on the top of then $898.20 with no guarantee of fixing and no timetable. We could not believe it. We refused and wanted to take them to the court. a mechanic fixed it with $455.45. Took our Honda Fit into service due to passenger door water leak. I mentioned to the service associate where the water maybe coming in from per my observation, since it rained the day before. Also noted that the inner door panel is loose and maybe contributing to the leak. Was hopeful with my information and their expertise it could be resolved..... After two weeks and a $900+ bill later, Honda service associate informs us they can't resolve the issue and that it could be due to a prior accident or that maybe the body frame of the car is bent / damaged and the seals aren't sealing the water out properly per their master technician and managers observation. Since Honda should be the experts, shouldn't they have done that first to diagnose the door before recommending any parts? More on that later... Well, we took our car to a local auto body shop and I told them what I told Honda about where I think the water is coming in from and the inner door panel is loose. They didn't look at the frame but focused on the door panel and immediately notice the inner watershield or film was coming undone due to the old adhesive and resealed it. Issue fixed. No more leaks. Took them 30 minutes and fraction of the cost of what Honda charged us. Long story short, I would not recommend Honda Lynnwood service if your vehicle has any type of body related issues, especially water leaks. Best to take it elsewhere. PS: Oh, did I mention Honda also informed me they looked into the door panel but didn't find anything ? Not sure, but if the inner panel was taken off anyone can see the watershield coming off.... read more

TLDR: I wish I had avoided this place, AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL. They lied to my face repeatedly both about the condition of the car I bought and their willingness to fix any problems I might find, took my money, and now are completely unresponsive when I found problems. I bought a car from Lynnwood Honda without getting my own buyer's inspection done first (which I have always done until this time) ONLY BECAUSE they gave me a vehicle inspection report showing that the car was in great condition, with nothing wrong. That document turned out to be fraudulent, nothing but lies. Now, rather than address the issues with the car, they're ignoring me. Legally, their verbal promises mean nothing; the only things that would push them to keep their promises are their honesty and integrity, which based on my experience are non-existent. And in Washington state, the "lemon law" only applies to new cars. So now I have to take them to court for giving me a fraudulent document that isn't worth the paper it's printed on. No matter where you decide to buy a car (just do yourself a favor and DON'T buy one here): always, always, always, get a buyer's inspection from a reputable place BEFORE you buy a car. DON'T rely on anything the dealership gives you. Ignore anything they say; they cannot be trusted. Spending a couple hundred dollars will save you so much time and money in the long run. LONGER VERSION: The people at Lynnwood Honda talk a really good game about how customer service oriented they are and how much their reputation means to them, but based on my experience it's all BS. I bought a Lexus (a trade-in) from them. There was a noise during the test drive which turned out to be a bad water pump, which they replaced. They said the car had just come in and they hadn't inspected it yet. I waited a few days for them to fix the pump and do their vehicle inspection. I went back, they said the water pump was replaced (it was) and the rest of the inspection report showed that it had no other problems, so I bought it. I told them that I was going to have my own buyer's inspection done at a Lexus dealership, and they said no problem. They told me several times that if the Lexus dealership found anything that Lynnwood Honda missed, that they would take care of it. You can probably guess what happened next. The Lexus dealership found thousands of dollars worth of repairs that need to be done (primarily a "severe" oil leak that will cost almost $7,000 to fix all by itself), including stuff that would literally be impossible to miss. For example, the hood supports don't work so the hood won't stay open. (Fun fact: the Lexus tech also said that it looked like somebody tried to clean up the oil leak with brake cleaner. So *somebody* knew there was a serious oil leak and, rather than fix it, tried to hide it.) I forwarded the inspection report to the salesman (Ken) and the sales manager (Anuj), and they pretended that the hood supports were the only thing wrong, and that they would replace them. When I asked about the rest of the issues in the report, I was referred to some other manager (Keith). He left a voicemail saying they would replace the hood supports; again, totally ignoring the main issue. So I forwarded the inspection report to him and asked about the other things wrong with the car. He never responded to my email. I sent follow-up emails for the next couple of weeks, also ignored. And that's where things stand as of now: they're not responding at all, not even about something that they've already acknowledged is a problem and said they would fix. So now I have to go through the hassle of suing them. We all know the reputation/stereotype of used car salespeople being liars and thieves. In my opinion based on my experience with them, the people at Lynnwood Honda live up to that stereotype, in spades. read more

This weekend, I emailed several dealerships asking for details on specific vehicles. In each instance, when I asked for the window sticker and dealer invoice, each and every one of the dealers gladly provided them........except for Lynnwood Honda. Alex was very pleasant, and I had a rapport with him right away. He clearly wanted my business and provided the invoice. But was told the sticker was off-site. Again, I requested the window sticker. I was then transferred to Tom, and requested again to have the window sticker sent to me to compare that to the dealer invoice. He said that it was off-site and would not get it unless I was seriously committed to buying. Yes, I was a serious buyer, or I wouldn't have bothered to call. I asked once more, firmly this time, because it seemed I wasn't being taken seriously as a real buyer. It was at this point Tom said they're going to have to pass....and he decided in his professional wisdom to hang up on me in mid sentence. I worked for an Acura dealer for many years, have and currently own a Honda and Acura, so I consider myself a loyal brand customer. I have purchased from many dealers in the Seattle area, both Honda and other brands. Without question, this was THE worst customer experience in 30+ years of buying. Happily, I purchased a car from another dealer today who earned my business with respect and integrity....and not hanging up on me. read more

I lost my car key in a hotel fire and had my 2019 Fit towed to Lynnwood Honda because it was the closest dealership to my house. I didn't mind that it took four days for them to get to my car, because I didn't have an appointment and other walk-ins were in line in front of me. The problem was when I talked to Chad about the work that was being done - in addition to getting a new key fob, I needed an oil change and a new battery. Chad informed me that because the battery had been replaced, I would have to pay nearly $200 to have some codes reset. He couldn't tell me what codes, why they needed to be reset, or what would happen if they weren't. I objected and he put me on hold and then told me it had been a language misunderstanding and no codes needed to be reset. This explanation was not convincing. He also suggested that the lock tumbler inside the door was "rough" and needed to be replaced (for nearly $600). He couldn't explain why again, beyond it being rough. I declined this service as well. I do not trust this dealership and, if I found myself needing the car towed to a dealership for repair again, I would pay the extra to have it taken to a different place. read more

As someone from out of town and a new Honda owner of a used Honda and in a long visit to Seattle I picked Lynnwood Honda for some repair and service to my Honda CRV and I couldn't have picked a better car dealer They got right away to some concerns and we also ordered a missing dipstick When the new one came in they were able to fish the broken one out and no charge On my last visit for full service Martin the rep was so good and explained all the options and a breakdown of the pricing so there was no hidden surprises. He for sure gave me service that one would want to return to Lynnwood Honda as being so fair and honest It made this out of towner appreciate the service given all the more.
