We scheduled a service for a not working REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER. That was over 90 days ago. They say they haven't been able to figure it out. I called once a week and they told me that they are busy and will hopefully get to it soon. They stopped sending me updates. I finally got Hyundai Corporate involved. They have been asking for updates on my behalf. The dealership has been vague with Corporate also. After 75 days Corporate says they will need to find a MASTER MECHANIC. I do have a loaner car but I am paying $540 a month for a Sante Fe AWD NOT A BASE TUCSON. I am very unhappy with this dealership and Hyundai in general. read more

Whatever the (good) reviews of this place are the customers either played "spin the bottle" for good service in actually getting it or they're bot accounts just placing "good" reviews to give this place a better name than what they deserve. I brought my car to this location in mid January this year because Mr. Brian Crosby worked at this dealership from previously being at Hyundai Of Seattle - "which is another story" & why he told me he left coming to Doug's Hyundai for a routine oil change & inspection. That was done in a reasonably fast fashion, but I was told my car needed my "engine valve coverings resealed" & that they were leaking oil. I was told by the previous place Hyundai of Seattle that same thing. So Brian scheduled me in for early February back at Doug's Hyundai. So early February rolled around & it was time to bring my car in, only to find out Brian is no longer with Doug's Hyundai but now next door at Doug's Mazda. I was like "WHAT??!" He was the whole reason I was there in the first place & here's why. After he was transferred, NO ONE knew why I was there, aside from having an appointment. I was told "they were looking into it" long story short I was told to give them an hour & they would tell me what was "up" with my car. That hour turned into 3 & STILL no word. I finally told Wes an employee there that I had to go, I couldn't be there all day waiting to find out what should have already been conveyed in some sort of note etc. I told Wes to keep the car, that hopefully by Friday since this was a Monday they would have it figured out, fixed, & we all could move forward. That's NOT what happened. My car basically sat there for 3 weeks in the lot. I think it was inspected ONCE, in finding out what the real issue/issues were. I needed my left side axel repaired & my power steering fixed up, to the tune of about 3,600 which at this point is more than my car is worth sadly. I agreed to pay it as Wes said he was gonna order the parts in week 2 of my car still being there. I was then notified days later that the parts were there & it was Wes's "hope that in a few days my car would be fixed." That was the 3rd & final week my car was still sitting in the lot. Finally I told Wes I'm coming to get my car, 3 weeks is ludicrous along with the excuses & lies. When I showed up to get the car, a bald guy at the desk asked me what I was there for, "which they all knew." Then proceeded to say, if I knew any mechanics that were "looking for work" since good help was hard to find these days. Not sure if he was throwing the tech/mechanics under the bus, but THEY ALL FAILED as far as I'm concerned. I'm DONE with Hyundai dealerships/service departments. I'll figure something else out in the future maintenance of my car. At least I got the parts & I'm trusting a family mechanic to do what Doug's Hyundai FAILED TO DO!! We wanted a compact hybrid SUV & narrowed down the choice between a 2025 Hyundai Tucson & a 2025 Honda CRV, where the CRV edged slightly above the Tucson initially. After test driving the CRV, we really liked it, then immediately went to Doug's Hyundai to test drive a Tucson. We met Peter Park & everything that he did for us that day really convinced us that Tucson was a better choice. Peter was so accommodating, so nice & very professional. I really liked some of the features more with the Tucson like the very large moonroof, the extra guidance when you signal to change lanes, etc. The only negative that I found was that Hyundai refreshed the 2025 Tucson & it opened up the center console. I wasn't used to the new placement of the gear shift so Peter showed me the 2024 model. I really wanted white & luckily, they had one more left. Peter gave us a great deal & we were sold! He & another female staff showed me how to load "MyHyundai" app & explained all the cool features such as locking the door from my phone or locating my car if I forget where I parked, & more. He said it would take about 90 mins & told us to help ourselves to coffee. Our car was done ahead of schedule, only took 55 mins, which was a pleasant surprise. He reiterated what was done. He was so nice & funny, we really loved working with him. He even gave me a hug goodbye. He was the BEST service advisor we ever had! We hope we get him again in the near future. I've purchased my vehicles from Doug's Hyundai in Lynnwood, WA for 30 years. I've always been happy with them. The last 3 visits to their service center left me very unhappy. They left me feeling vulnerable. The service center told me I needed a brake light, then said wait no, you need a rear mounted brake box, then brake light, then back to rear mounted brake box and when I said I wasn't paying $500 for the box, leave it alone, they changed to just the light was needed again and 10 minutes later I needed 2 rear shocks for about $1200. I asked why so much and was texted that they needed to replace both rear shocks. They didn't have the bulb available even though they ordered it for me on my last visit. I felt like they were not honest so even though they ordered the shocks for me, I went to Lee Johnson Hyundai in Everett for an inspection. Everett Hyundai said one shock could be replaced, the other one was fine. I could wait as it was not urgent if I didn't have the money. Both shocks did not need to be replaced. They replaced the light in the rear mounted brake box without me even sharing that was needed with them. I drove to Doug's Hyundai and asked them to pay me back for the light bulb as they made me pay for it on my last visit, even though they didn't have the brake light bulb in stock. Doug's Hyundai said only a manager can do refunds and the manager was busy in a meeting. They said they'd talk to him and it would be easy to do a refund to the same card used to pay for the bulb. I showed receipt of payment and they took the # off the receipt for the refund purposes. NO REFUND every made to my card. Shame on them for taking advantage and then not doing what's right when called on it! I won't go to Doug's anymore after being a 30 year customer. I love Hyundai's and will go to Lee Johnson in Everett instead. read more

I rescind my previous review. While I take responsibility for my part in not re-reviewing the contract prior to signing. After a back and forth with my sales person, I agreed to a monthly price for a SIX year loan. In the back room, I was upsold on gap coverage and extending my 5 year warranty to a 10 year at an additional $25 or so a month. Sure, why not. While making a payment, I notice the total loan balance is higher than it should be. I go back to my contract and see it's set to a SEVEN year loan? Okay.. Lets talk car shopping! After my beloved car after 8 years had a crack in the engine I was forced to give up the "no car payment" life and shop for a new car.. It was horrifying.. I knew I wanted a better car then my previous Chevy Sonic with more options and a engine to get me over the pass to our Eastern Washington summer home but didn't want a large car payment... I started at the Chevy dealership I was servicing my Sonic in Lake City and I wont go into details but I left my first car shopping experience in tears of frustration... Horrible experience I didn't want to go into a dealership again, it was really a bad experience.. I started asking friends what cars they liked, and more said Hyundai and three said GET A HYUNDAI KONA, we love our Kona! Knowing nothing about the car I started to research online and different dealerships including ratings online, like Yelp and Google.. I looked at all different car types, but what I was looking for it always brought me back to Hyundai ( like that great warranty! ) Doug's had the best rating in the area so even though I lived in Seattle I figured it was okay as my family lives in Edmonds. I met Michael via a online submission for a test drive ( with a gift card in return ) I was like why not get some money in return for a test drive. He was so patient, sending emails to ask my budget and I put off my test drive a couple weeks he still was extremely patient and wanted to meet my schedule. I scheduled a appointment and brought in my sister and we were prepared to be smoozled and in for another horrible experience like that Chevy Dealership in Lake City but NO! When we walked in he had printed out all the Kona's in my price range including all specifications and there was nothing but a relaxing experience! I test drove my first Kona, and realized I really wanted more features ( like Heated Seats and Sirius XM radio ) and he already had more papers for me with new prices and vehicles with the price point. I fell in love with a Silver Sonic Hyundai Kona SEL AWD, upgraded a bit and a little above my price point. He then went to work with discounts I could qualify for like Costco and TrueCar and we were able to bring the price down to a cost I could afford with a small TrueCar Discount. There was NO PRESSURE! I wanted a new car, and the prices were haggle free but I was able to negotiate oil changes for the next three years. With the incredible warranty Hyundai has I decided after researching other brands online this was the Crossover for me! I have had my vehicle now for three weeks, my plates came already and I am so happy with the experience I had at Dougs.. Love my new car and this was a great experience I would recommend to everyone I know! We had such a great experience with Doug's Hyundai! Brian Moon is an absolute gem of a salesperson; he excelled at helping us genuinely choose the best car for me and he wasn't pushy at all. If you're nervous about car shopping because you don't want to feel like a minnow in a shark tank, ask for Brian specifically. No joke, he spent 3 hours with me and my husband as we debated between a newer car or cheaper older one, and between sedans, hatchbacks, and SUVs. He asked the right questions to help us settle debates over what we needed. He's the kind of salesperson I would trust my grandparents to and know they wouldn't get taken advantage of. Now, I intentionally did my first reachout as a car shopper as a woman alone and didn't bring my husband with me or mention him at all. By the time I worked with Brian I had been to 7 or 8 dealerships, including one that refused to show me more than the one car I was interested in and literally dismissed me and walked me back to my car when it turned out that one had sold to someone else. So by the time I got to Doug's I was feeling pretty jaded. I happened to get Brian on the phone when I was calling about an older used Toyota, and the keys weren't available so he thought maybe it had sold, but told me he'd let me know as soon as he figured out what happened to it. He was super responsive and helpful over text even late in the evening, double-checking which features were available on different cars and the pricing on different cars. On the test drives, he was great at showing the different features of the cars and helping me navigate around the neighborhood. In this market, you're going to encounter dealerships that try to add $5k in nonsense dealership fees, or upsell you $1000 for some vin number etching, or otherwise try to get you thousands of dollars above the KBB range. Doug's didn't add any fees other than the typical doc fees to register the car. They did offer gap insurance and catalytic converter insurance, but it wasn't required and they weren't pushy. The dealership was sparkling clean, had free coffee and hot chocolate, everyone was really nice, and they are even dog-friendly! They stayed almost an hour after close for us, because it took a while to decide and do the paperwork. We ended up choosing a 2021 used Elantra and got it for the lower side of the KBB range and a very reasonable monthly payment and total payment. read more

I am so happy with the service and professionalism here. My poor old (2010) Hyundai was making some noise, it has been a perfect vehicle until that started happening. I went to another Hyundai dealer and after they looked at it I was told "it's too expensive to fix"....and didn't bother to try to schedule my appointment or offer a solution. I was pretty disappointed. I decided to get Dougs to look at it, they communicated with me throughout the whole time, letting me know what they found, how much parts and labor will cost and were so apologetic that a part took longer than expected to get. I really thought this was all too good to be true but it's not, my car runs like new. Zero noise. They had to replace a wheel hub, brakes, rotors, calipers.
