The guy at the desk had her drive her car into the garage, did a couple of tests and told me what I suspected, which was it needed replacement. I came in to the O'Reilly Auto Parts on Ballinger Way Northeast this past Friday, 18 July 2025,…read morelooking for a new hubcap for my car. The parking lot and store were slightly busy, but a few parking spots were available. After walking the aisles and not spotting hubcaps, I approached the front counter and was warmly greeted by a worker. I asked about hubcaps and she asked what size my tires were. I had taken a few pictures and she looked at them, then offered to take a look at the car. We walked out to my car and they were 15 inch tires. We went back inside the store and she showed me three options they had for hubcaps at that size (two silver and one black and gray). I decided to go with the black and gray ones, which came in a 4-pack. The total with tax was less than $60. On Monday 21 July 2025, I went to install one and found it appeared to be too flat to install on the tire of my car (the plastic of the hubcap pressed against the metal of the wheel/tire such that it impeded the hubcap properly snapping into place). After removing any smudges from the hubcap I attempted to install and putting everything back in the original packaging, I came back to the store this morning (Tuesday 22 July 2025) to see if I could return the item. My inquiry was processed by an alert worker and I was issued a full refund. While the item did not work, my overall shopping experience was excellent.

They gave me the number to a mobile mechanic and I had to pay an additional $40 for the installation. The mechanic that showed up was no more "professional" than anyone working there. O'Reilly employees never mentioned this. I won't be spending any more money here.

He's even told us about things we never thought about for future maintenance and potential selling down the line. I could drone on about what they fixed, etc., but the fact is that in my nearly 25 years here, I seldom get this kind of service. Every person there is great-respectful, honest, and sometimes even funny. They actually communicate with you and tell you usually within a half hour how long something will take to fix. And here's a shocker for Seattle, they'll tell you if they've encountered another problem that may take longer/and or that it wouldn't be worth fixing. The bottom line is, if I could build a large company that fixes devices, I would start with Jet City as the model, and build every store exactly like it. Well, that didn't happen, and it was getting close to me having other errands that I needed to get to that morning. I decided that I've put off hitting the road waiting on Autozone, to get my order ready. So I decided that I would pop into the AutoZone to see if my order was ready, even though I never received a confirmation. I entered the store, greeted aggressively, and explained that I placed an online order, prepaid for pick up. This is 2:00 PM mind you, He then get in the computer, verifies my order and then precedes to fill it, only after I just showed up. This tells me, that the online orders aren't an inclining of a priority, nor was there an acknowledgement of the 3 hrs of the order being place, and fulfilled only because I actually came into the store to get what I paid for. Of course, I received that confirmation email that my order was ready for pickup after I showed up to retrieve my purchase.
