amazing as usual, doesn't need any more notes family owned and hasn't tried to upsell me on anything truth worthy to the core

Absolutely stellar repair shop! I started bringing my RAV4 to Dave's after my warranty expired because the dealer (Swickard) kept upselling unnecessary services. I was really impressed with Dave's honest diagnosis and fair pricing, so I was a bit nervous when Edgar took over the business. Luckily, Edgar and his team are just as reliable - very efficient and have excellent diagnostic skills. In addition to regular oil changes, I've had my spark plugs replaced here, and their pricing was even better than the dealership. They also identified a couple of maintenance issues that the dealer completely missed, though it turns out they're not urgent. I appreciate that Edgar was upfront about this and just suggested keeping an eye on them for future maintenance appointments. On top of that, my glove compartment had been sticking for months - Edgar figured out the problem and fixed it in under two minutes! Great service, great people, and honest work every time. read more

I dont usually write reviews but Dave's is AWESOME. Did a great job diagnosing an issue and fixed it quickly. They ended up doing extra work once they got into the vehicle that they didn't notice before they gave me a quote, and didn't charge me for because they hadn't talked to me about it in advance. Really appreciate the honesty and going the extra mile. Wouldn't take my car anywhere else after this experience! read more

Excellent service , knowledgeable, definitely looking out for your best interest - could not recommended more.

Took my car to Dave's for a minor front end problem with my old VW bug. He took my car in right away, fixed the problem and sent me on my way within 15 minutes. Wouldn't hesitate to take my car there again. read more

I am always impressed by the expertise and great customer service I have received at Dave's. It's my #1 auto repair shop.

I brought my Subaru here this week after it had some trouble starting up. Edgar, the new owner, took great care of my car, looking over previous repairs I've had done and talking me through what was needed and how to prioritize. His team honored the quotes they gave me and even replaced my cabin and air filters at no charge. Will be returning! read more

i've gone to Dave's auto for many years, but over the summer, Edgar Vargas, a master mechanic purchased the business and opened it November , 2025. I own a 1987 Cadillac Deville that belonged to my mother and is in pristine condition. Both the heater radiator had gone out. I was hesitant at first because not all auto shops offer good service like Dave did. The engine had also been leaking a great deal of oil and I mentioned that to Edgar. Edgar fixed the heater and radiator, but upon examining the engine, discovered that it needed to have a complete rebuild in order for the car to function properly. He called numerous shops in the area, but they. ALL REFUSED TO REPAIR IT BECAUSE OF ITS AGE. EDGAR DIDN'T GIVE UP!! he's having the engine rebuilt by someone in eastern that he known for 20 years and I am overwhelmed with gratitude. Edgar impressed me with his honesty plus showing me exactly what was wrong with the engine. He is very dedicated to his profession and I am so thankful for him. Sharon Boehm read more

Dave's is my go-to spot for my auto repair and maintenance needs. Every single time I have brought my vehicles in to Dave's they have done a great job of addressing all of my concerns. They are great at communicating with you and their pricing is more than reasonable. I have brought both my Chevy and my Dodge in at various times and I have been pleased with all of my experiences. read more

Needed to get my cooling system diagnosed, found my temperature gauge fluctuating. Thought it could be my thermostat failing. Called Dave's Auto talked with Vincent and scheduled an appointment. At the time they weren't able to get me in until a couple of weeks. They were super busy which is not a surprise at all. So my appointment was scheduled at opening time at 8am. I was there few minutes before met Dave himself he was very nice and assured that the car will be looked at today, and as soon as the car is done he will call me. By 12 noon I got the call. My car didn't have any major issues with the cooling system. All I had was a faulty radiator cap. Dave and his crew went ahead and replaced my faulty cap with a brand new one. As well as doing a pressure test to make sure there weren't any leaks, and did a radiator flush and refill. Dave's auto service is a very trustworthy company. There are not very much honest mechanics these days. Let alone auto service places that provide top customer satisfaction. Thank you Dave and his mechanics. I will definitely be highly recommending Dave's Auto to friends and family! read more

I called Dave and they got me in the next day! They changed. Part out and did an oil change on my truck.

They did great job (oil change) Fair price and quick service. I think I made a good choice by not going to Jiffy Lube which charges much more. read more

I took my Prius to Dave's after noticing a very slight oil leak. They got me scheduled really quickly and were very friendly on the phone. After leaving my car at Dave's, it took them less than an hour to take a look at it and call me with the diagnosis. I was shocked at how quick they were. Dave's diagnostic fee was almost a third of the dealership's price, and they were way more friendly. I won't hesitate to take my car back to Dave's in the future. read more

I recently had both of my vehicles detailed by Dave. They go above and beyond to do a great job inside and out. I'm so happy to find a great detail shop in issaquah. Thank you Dave! read more

Dave's always exceeds my expectations with regard to honesty, customer service, and knowhow. I brought my Dodge in there twice and both times they were able to isolate the problem and complete the repairs at a much lower prices than I was quoted elsewhere. I moved after my first visit to Dave's and had someone local do a minor job on my car. After that, problems! I had my car towed to Dave's because I trusted them to locate the problem and give me an honest run down. They located the issue and went to work - success! I'll never trust my car to another auto shop again. read more

Fast, inexpensive and great service. They were able to get me in the next day. Car was ready earlier than expected.

When you drive an older car, its going to need some TLC. On two occasions this year, our car has needed replacement parts that made the car not drivable. Both times, Dave's was able to get the car worked into the schedule for the same day to get us back on the road. Stellar customer service! read more

I've been taking my car to Dave's Auto Service for years, and I wouldn't trust anyone else. They're honest, reliable, and always do a great job. Recently, I brought my car in for a strange rattling noise. The mechanics at Dave's were able to identify a loose heat shield and fix it in no time. They even explained the problem clearly and showed me the part they repaired. No more rattling, and my wallet feels lighter thanks to their fair prices. Top-notch service! read more

I cannot stress how much of a great place this is all around. The quality of the services is amazing alone, but also the customer service is above and beyond. I will never take my car anywhere else. read more

This local shop was recommended to my on the Neighborhood app. Our first experience was great. Honest diagnosis, came up with a plan B for action, Vincent was very responsive and kind, even called the transmission shop and made an inquiry for us. We will definitely return and recommend. read more

I have been taking my vehicle to Dave's for between twenty and twenty five years now. Always had excellent service, only does what is necessary to be done. They check out fluids etc when in for an oil change to be sure all is well. I highly recommend Dave and Vince. read more

Good honest mechanics. They won't sell you unnecessary car repairs you don't need. If you think your old mechanic is scamming you get a second opinion from these guys. It would've saved me a lot of money. read more

Was just in here today for a suspected suspension issue. Turns out it only needed to be lubed, I paid a whopping $22 bucks. Least expensive trip to the mechanic I have ever had! I love that they seem upfront and honest about repairs and costs. It's much appreciated. I am always referring my friends to check this place out for their car needs! read more

Couldn't be more satisfied with the service and quality of work at Dave's. My husband's '92 Lexus SC300 needed the alternator replaced, and the bill for the labor was under $100! Prompt and friendly read more

Unfortunately I had a really bad experience at Dave's. I took my 4Runner in to get a standard check up and get some new brakes. Dave's had my vehicle for a long time and replaced the brakes, but mentioned something about the wheel bearing making noise. Upon getting my car back there was a new vibrating noise around the front tire of the vehicle. They said that they couldn't figure out the issue.... my family and I then embarked on a road trip to Phoenix. Halfway there the wheel bearing shattered and tore up my brake rotor and speed sensor. I was able to find someone in Utah to fix the wheel completely. They mentioned that the wheel bearing that shattered was old and rusted and was never replaced. I was shocked to hear this because that's why I took it to Dave's, to get a check up and fix the brakes/wheels. I had a terrible experience and don't trust Dave's auto knowledge. read more

I have been going to Dave's since I moved to Settle 8 years ago. Always a pleasant experience. Dave's is always willing to explain what's going on and find the right solution for the customer. read more

I've only recently gone to Dave's twice. I've been looking for a used car and had two different cars get a pre-purchase inspection at Dave's. Not only do they charge less than most other places, the inspection was incredible. They found the big problems but also found every tiny detail that was wrong with the cars. It was an incredibly thorough inspection. Both the owner and person inspecting the car were very nice and personable. read more

I recently moved to the area and went to Dave's based on the great Yelp reviews. It's all true! I had a fantastic experience. I went in for an oil change. They were on time, quick, checked my breaks, tires, topped up my washer fluid, and vacuumed. And I paid a few dollars less than what they had told me on the phone. I will definitely be back for any future car related needs. Oh and they are super friendly! read more

I love this place. Every time I have called in or taken my car in, Dave and the other employees have treated me kindly and have seemed very upfront. Dave has even made suggestions on how to be most cost effective with the repairs I've been needing. Prices are extremely reasonable. They work in a really timely manner. Dave has called after inspecting/diagnosing, telling me what the problem is and giving me a quote before diving in on the work. Awesome place! I never thought I'd refer to anybody as "my mechanic" but those two words are definitely part of my vocabulary now. read more

Dave and Vincent are great! They test-drove my newly purchased used car, found only one minor problem and repaired it quickly. Outstanding! I brought my 1998 Astro van in for brakes plus the fan that blows the heat was not working. They did my front brakes and fixed the fan.....however there was more to the heater fix than expected.....even though Dave quoted me a price....he had to spend more time fixing the heater....he was not going to charge me for the extra work....I insisted on paying for the additional time spent....this place is integral and trustworthy! I highly recommend them!! Won't take my cars anywhere else!! read more

My business relationship with Dave's began when JiffyLube wanted to charge me $44 for an oil change with my own oil & filter. Burn to the ground, JiffyLube! When I called Dave, he didn't have any openings until the following week. But when I told him I was driving out of town the next day, he told be to drop it off and he'd work it in. Less than an hour (and less than $20) later, my oil was changed and I was ready for my road trip. A few months later, my girlfriend's brakes were getting increasingly spongy and stressing on how much a repair would cost. Dave's came through AGAIN, and replaced her master cylinder... for less than $300!! Nobody else will EVER turn a wrench on MY cars. Dave & Vincent have EARNED my business! read more

I had my 2012 Honda Civic serviced at Dave's this week. I can't speak highly enough of the excellent service I received. I have been taking cars to Dave's for approximately 15 years. The customer service and work is always great!!!! Most importantly I have never felt ripped off and I have never had to take my car back because of a bad repair job. read more

I am newer to the area and was in need of finding a reliable and affordable station to have my oil changed. Growing up with a mechanic as a step father, and a hobby mechanic as a father I feel most comfortable finding privately owned garages vs corporate oil change centers. When I found Dave's I immediately felt like I had found my new garage. I have one weekday available per week, and they fit me in right away. I spoke with Vincent and he was extremely friendly and never made me feel taken advantage of. They gave me an estimate and stayed in it. My service was done quickly and efficiently. They even vacuumed the rugs of my car! I will continue to go to Dave's for all my car's maintenance, and not just because I live so close. Thanks Vincent and Team. I'll be sure to continue singing your praises to anyone who asks. read more
