Terrible Correspondences from a terrible company

These mfs not permanently closed. Another one of their lies. Tried canceling a service contract in September 2024 that I signed up for in August 2023. I called and emailed and was sent a cancellation request form which had all my information including, name, vin, contract #, purchase and current mileage, as well as my signature but was missing the cornerstone email address and physical address printed at the bottom. I made 6 email correspondences from September 1st - 7th with no response. Called and spoke to Jeremiah and the Finance manager who said it was being processed and I should be seeing the changes in 5-7weeks. Flash forward April 1st 2025 | realize no reductions were made to my loan amount so l contact again in which west coast was very rude saying I am "clearly unable to follow basic instructions", and "it clearly must be a extremely difficult task" stating I never sent in a legible cancellation request after 7 months, when I had reached out NUMEROUS times before that practically begging for a response or if there was anything else I needed to do. I was ignored, lied to and they insist "we are not obligated to respond if you cannot follow basic instructions" now stating "since it's clearly very difficult for me to follow basic instructions" I can just send the form back blank and they will fill it out for me, like gee thanks for the exemplary customer service SEVEN MONTHS LATER. STAY AWAY

This place was awful and they will scam you if you are a younger person trying to buy a car for the first time. The salesperson Andrew was very sketchy telling us to lie to the loan company so we can get approved and he was constantly texting me so I can give him a review. Please don't buy from this place they WILL scam you and tell you you're approved when you're not actually approved. Don't fall for a spot delivery scam. Also when we were signing paperwork he didn't go over anything with us and added cost to the car without asking us first he added a warranty on the car plus other things that we didn't approve of. I would not recommend this place at all

Hard to look for a car at this lemonade stand, when your Everett website doesn't pop up. Received a "500 Internet Server error" Message. Get it together if you want business.

    New Dealership Crate Engine

Horrible Dealership and Scam Artists. I purchased a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT from them for $25,000 and paid all cash for it to end up with a blown head gasket 2 days later. I went back to the dealership to try and get them to fix it for me but they refused since it was sold As-Is. I took it to my mechanic and he inspected it and told me that they clearly knew it had a blown head gasket because of the head gasket repair liquid that was floating around in the coolant tank. So $4,000 later I got the head gasket fixed and back on the road for it to only break down 3 months later but this time was worse the whole engine had seized while I was driving and found out that one of my valves got stuck and destroyed the piston. So now the second time back in the shop and this time I had to buy a whole brand new engine from the dealership and get it installed and in the end with the labor and cost of the engine it's costed me another $14,000. So I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you don't step foot on their car lot and go somewhere else. I really wished I would have read the reviews about them because I'm not the only person that this has happened to and I probably won't be the last. Alex was the salesman that sold me the vehicle and as soon as I started having problems he ghosted me I had to call and call everyday for a week to get ahold of somebody. So in the end DONT WASTE your time and money with these SHADY SCAM ARTISTS that are only looking to make a quick buck off of you and don't care that they're selling you complete GARBAGE that breaks down as soon as you drive off their lot.

Steven forced my son to sign papers saying we won't take em to court u see derest my son did sad sad sad place to have your 18 yr old to go and see what experience they provide. First the poppped little Anthony with gap then a full warrenty about 6k shit gets worse they took his car in for 500 bucks and said they'll wrap 800 into from the loan shadiest shit I've heard so I told him to nope go back get the car and take all the extras off after hours of pressuring the child who just graduated they made him sign saying we're not taking him to court... well if we can't get our car back and take the "converter" 499 charge and "anti theft" 499 off we will take this company for forcing a. Child to sign they did take 6 grand off the gap and warrenty on the 9k car so it dropped from 21k to 13k the taxes and other wild charges were taken off then alittle tacked back on my sons lower steeering went out on his car so they took him bad so sad they said 500 he's a kid just turned 18 3 days been working and this place slapped him with a high rate knowing they can go lower I'll be calling tomorrow when I'm back In town I'll be having our family lawyer either take this to court I've had my son make copay of the first contract we have the second the things in here are so sad I mean a judge needs to see this I'm reaching out to the BBB I'll pay for a complaint then the next step attorney General of wa state then court they can't keep doing this to kids just turning of age

My salesperson Andrew was very professional and helpful at their Edmonds location. I got a great deal on a great car.

Went in to check out a car for trade in, salesmen backed into my parked car, when confronted salesmen became hostile. Tried to speak to management but was told this was a personal problem, almost immediately after writing a review I was called and texted repetitively by two individuals from the dealership both insulting the trade in value of my car, and threatening to come to my house. The police have become involved. I advise to steer clear at all costs.

I don't usually leave negative reviews, but after two separate experiences with Doug's Hyundai, I feel like other Hyundai owners should know what they may be getting into.... I own a 2024 Hyundai Tucson that I purchased from Lee Johnson Everett, and my experience there was great. Since I live closer to Doug's, I decided to give them my business for routine service and maintenance. Unfortunately, I've been extremely disappointed both times. For starters, an oil change here cost me $120+ plus tax. I made an appointment online in advance, so I expected a relatively straightforward experience. When I arrived, I was told the wait would be 2+ hours because they were extremely busy and understaffed. I was specifically told that there were very few technicians working that day because many had called out. Ultimately, I was there for over 3 hours for a basic oil change.... I completely understand that unexpected staffing issues can happen. What I found frustrating was the organization that followed. When I tried to get updates, the staff seemed hesitant to give me an answer because it honestly appeared that they didn't know what was happening with my vehicle or where it was in the service process. I shouldn't have to repeatedly ask for basic information about my car after making an appointment ahead of time. The front desk staff also appeared extremely overwhelmed and overworked. From a customer's perspective, it looked like they were juggling far too much at once, which made it difficult to get clear answers or updates. It really seemed like there was simply too much being put on the front desk staff to handle at once. It also seems nearly impossible to reach the service department by phone, so scheduling online feels like the only realistic option. Both times I've been there, the dealership has appeared extremely busy and understaffed. Even the customer waiting experience could use improvement. With a 3+ hour wait for routine maintenance, there were no complimentary bottled waters or snacks available like I've experienced at other dealerships. There was coffee and tea available, which I appreciate, but when customers are waiting several hours, having water and a few basic refreshments available would make a big difference. What concerns me most is that these were simple oil changes. If routine maintenance takes 3+ hours even with an appointment, I would be extremely hesitant to trust this dealership with a larger repair, warranty issue, or anything more complicated. I chose Doug's because it was closer and more convenient for me, but unfortunately, the convenience has not been worth the experience. I had a great experience purchasing my Hyundai from Lee Johnson Everett, so I know Hyundai dealerships can provide a much better customer experience. If you're considering Doug's Hyundai for service, I would strongly recommend doing your research first and thinking again. Who do you trust with your vehicle? I know for a fact I would not trust Doug's Hyundai.

When Robert returned from his days off, he called us asking why the purchase had not gone through. During that conversation, he indicated that he was not aware of what had happened, which raises additional concerns regarding the dealership's internal communication and handling of the transaction. Robert told us that management would be contacting us to explain the situation. However, no one from management ever called or contacted us. We have been left without any explanation as to why the vehicle was ultimately sold to someone else after we had been told the vehicle was being held for us and after we had provided a deposit. This lack of communication is particularly concerning. At this point, we are not only seeking an explanation for what happened with the vehicle, but also an explanation as to how this was allowed to happen internally and why management has failed to communicate with us afterward.

We paid cash in full for the vehicle. CarMax had no problem taking the money from our account immediately, yet when significant issues were discovered shortly after the purchase, the process of getting our money back was anything but immediate. After taking the Mercedes to the dealership for a thorough inspection, we discovered multiple issues that would cost more than $10,000 to repair. These were not minor cosmetic concerns--they were significant mechanical issues that made us completely uncomfortable keeping the vehicle. We promptly decided to return the car under CarMax's return policy. However, when we went to return it on Thursday, we were told that the soonest CarMax could issue our refund check was Monday. That is incredibly frustrating when you consider that CarMax was able to take our money immediately when we purchased the vehicle. We paid cash specifically so we could have the flexibility to purchase a reliable vehicle for our son, who is extremely excited about finally being able to drive. Instead, because CarMax could immediately withdraw our money but could not immediately return it, we are left without access to those funds for several days and unable to move forward with purchasing another vehicle. The customer service was equally disappointing. Denise was extremely unprofessional, and throughout this entire process, I found the staff at the Lynnwood location to be unhelpful and unwilling to take ownership of the situation. We repeatedly had to try to figure things out ourselves rather than feeling like anyone was actually advocating for us as customers. I understand that used vehicles can have issues. What I find unacceptable is the combination of the condition of the vehicle, the significant repair costs discovered almost immediately after purchase, and the lack of urgency and customer service when we tried to return it. Buying a car--especially a first car for your teenage child--should be an exciting experience. Instead, this turned into an incredibly frustrating and stressful one. I would never recommend CarMax Lynnwood based on our experience, and I will not be purchasing another vehicle from CarMax.
