August 13 Update: As of August 13, we have received no call, explanation, or follow-up whatsoever from management regarding what happened with the vehicle potential purchase. When Robert returned from his days off, he called us asking why the purchase had not gone through. During that conversation, he indicated that he was not aware of what had happened, which raises additional concerns regarding the dealership's internal communication and handling of the transaction. Robert told us that management would be contacting us to explain the situation. However, no one from management ever called or contacted us. We have been left without any explanation as to why the vehicle was ultimately sold to someone else after we had been told the vehicle was being held for us and after we had provided a deposit. This lack of communication is particularly concerning. At this point, we are not only seeking an explanation for what happened with the vehicle, but also an explanation as to how this was allowed to happen internally and why management has failed to communicate with us afterward. read more

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALER. I purchased a new Mazda CX-50 Hybrid from Doug's Lynnwood Mazda on June 9th, 2026. Because it was late at night, the vehicle was located in the holding lot and covered in pollen. My salesperson stated they would wash it and have it ready for pickup the following day, June 10th. When I picked up the vehicle on June 10th, I immediately noticed the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) light was illuminated on the dashboard. Upon arriving home that same day, I attempted to open the hood and discovered the hood release latch was completely missing. I immediately contacted my salesperson, who assured me these issues would be fixed. Shortly after, I also discovered several large scratches on both the paint and the exterior plastic molding. I took photo evidence and sent it to the salesperson right away. He again assured me the dealership would address the issues. Over the next few weeks, I had to send text after text just to get an update. I finally dropped the vehicle off for repairs on June 30th. After 12 days of minimal communication and checking for updates, I was finally told to come inspect the vehicle on Saturday, July 11th, 2026. Upon arrival, I was deeply disappointed. While a few scratches were gone, several remained, and new scratches had been added to the vehicle. Furthermore, the dealership had simply applied a shining oil over the plastic molding scratches to temporarily hide them. When I expressed my frustration respectfully, the salesperson brought out General Sales Manager Oscar Mejia. Instead of offering a solution, he defensively asked me, "What do you want us to do, paint the whole car?" Despite his unprofessional tone, I remained calm and respectful. The salesperson then told me they would explore options and that either the GSM or the General Manager would call me. Today is Aug 11th, 2026, and I have received zero communication. To make matters worse, I washed the car today, which removed the shining oil and revealed all the "fixed" scratches. The front driver-side plastic molding now shows clear discoloration. It is incredibly stressful to pay full price for a brand new vehicle, only to receive it with an active warning light, a missing mechanical part, and body damage. Doug's Lynnwood Mazda held my car for 12 days, failed to fix the initial problems, added new damage, and completely ignored me. Their business model appears to be securing the sale and then abandoning the customer. I will never purchase another vehicle from this dealership, and I will actively warn others about their poor service and lack of accountability. I have attached photo evidence of all the damage. Not a great experience here. It was ok relative to some car sale experiences I've had. They sold me an extended warranty and a few weeks later I decided to look into cancelling it. They told me that I could cancel it, but they would roll the price of it into the car, even though the contract was already signed and the loan was funded. I pushed back and they said it could not be cancelled. I contacted the warranty company and they gave me a refund with no trouble at all. I complained to the manager at Doug's and he insisted that nobody had told me it couldn't be cancelled. I then forwarded him the email in which I was told it couldn't be cancelled. He stopped responding to me after that. I adore my Mazda, though, and highly recommend their cars. read more
