Very professional and considerate; excellent service and cleanup, safety conscious; we will use them again.

We just had our Eucalyptus trees trimmed and I am very happy with the outcome. Mitch gave me a set price (prior to starting) and kept true to his word. He actually estimated the job with both an hourly rate and a flat rate and pointed out the flat rate was better from my end so we agreed to go with the flat rate. The tree trimmers and support crew were second to none. Very professional and focused on the task at hand. Once in the trees I requested they trim a good 10' more off each tree and they had no problem doing so. Rich stated they want to make sure the customer is happy with the work so they periodically seek your feedback while the work is in progress. They ran out of time on the first day so today (Wednesday) they came back and performed final clean up. And boy does our backyard look great! I wish our gardner did as good a job in cleaning up the backyard. read more

The man who came out to give me the estimate was knowledgeable and pleasant. They were professional and licensed and insured. I got a reasonable price. They have not done the work yet, but I am confident they will do a good job. read more

Outstanding service and price! From my first contact with Emily, through my estimate with Mitch, to the actual tree trimming, it was a great experience! Very reasonably priced and great customer service. Before you call anyone else for tree services, call Mathers Tree Service first! You won't be disappointed...... read more

I've used this service for the last two or three years. Great owner and staff. Good job taking out two old trees and then helping me with digging out deep rooted plants. read more

We have our birch trees trimmed up after 2 yrs of pushed maintenance. The trees are looking much better . The leaves have fallen so I'm anxious to see them in full green next spring . Looks good. read more

Mathers Tree Service is a great family owned business. We have used them twice and can highly recommend their services. From the initial call with Emily, then Mitch coming to inspect and give the estimate, and finally Rich, Mitch and crew showing up on time and ready to work everything goes smoothly without drama; very professional. read more

I saw this review and had a very similar experience. They had great communication, were friendly and professional. They offered the best estimate I was given out of 4 and they were not the cheapest although they offered a great price. The estimate was great because it was easy to read, sent to me electronically and they offer a cc option. They work fast, are very efficient. I will definitely keep them as my go-to in the future. read more

We couldn't be more pleased with the work of Mathers . Responsiveness was excellent in both quoting and scheduling the job. Pricing was competitive. On time, job completed as promised and clean up was really thorough. Thank you, highly recommend read more

The crew just left after doing a terrific job pruning and shaping our hugely overgrown silver maple and crepe myrtle trees. We are very pleased with their work being so thorough and professional. What a beautiful result and we're just overwhelmed with the outcome! Thanks so much Mitch and crew. We will definitely be calling you for our tree needs in the future! read more

From start to finish this company was GREAT to deal with! Communication was excellent, they were on time, and the work performed was outstanding!! read more

I asked a few companies for quotes to get 2 Eucalyptus trees felled, and Mathers Tree Service was the one we chose to go ahead with. They were able to bump us up their schedule by a few days after we voiced safety concerns (the high winds of the recent storms were having the trees make ominously loud creaking sounds). They arrived on time at 8am and by 2:30pm had left our home in the condition they found it, minus two large eucalyptus trees. Would definitely hire these guys again, they are hard working, polite and professional. read more

We needed so trees around our property pruned. Mathers Tree Service was responsive and provided best value. Called day before to make sure we were ready. Day off they did a great job keeping us informed as work progressed. I highly recommend this business. read more

We used Mathers to remove several dead trees on our property and trim several others. They did a great job and made sure we were satisfied with the results. After shopping around I also found their pricing to be very reasonable. I would use them again. read more

Mitch and Emily are great to work with! Super responsive and nice, fair prices and attention to detail. They trimmed our oak tree a few months ago and just removed a small tree for us today. They even cleaned up the leaves in the surrounding areas unrelate to the tree removal. Highly recommend read more

Have always been fully satisfied with the work performed by Mitch and his crew on our trees. Today I was also impressed by his honesty. Had Mitch came by today to inspect a large tree in front of our house which looked like it might need to be thinned out. It seemed over burdened with foliage to me. I received instead of an estimate to do the work an opinion it was not necessary for another year or more. He could easily have gone ahead and done the work but being honest told me what was best for our tree. I believe this is the best you will find if looking for tree service. read more

Mitchell was amazing!!! We hired Mathers tree service and they did a great job. We used Mathers twice and recommend to anyone

We just moved into a house with beautiful oaks surrounding it. Our home inspector recommended we trim back the trees away from the home for fire safety purposes. Mathers Tree Service gave me a lower estimate than the tree company that my realtor recommended, and although no one had referred them to me and I couldn't find them on Yelp (which I would've preferred), I took a chance. I liked that when walking through our property, Mitchell recommended to defer work on a couple trees until a cooler season to avoid putting too much stress on those trees, despite this recommendation not being in their immediate interest of generating revenue on that work more immediately. I also chose them because of their competitive pricing, they're licensed, at least one owner / operator is present for the job, Mitchell is a certified arborist and knowledgeable about preserving both the health and aesthetics of the oaks, and they had workers compensation coverage. They just left our home after taking care of our trees, including removing weight and deadwood from large oaks, removing two small trees that were encroaching on a couple larger ones, removing large poisonous oleander bushes from near our deck, and removing poisonous oak vines that had grown up through two oak trees. They were professional and friendly. Before starting work, we walked through the property again to validate the scope, and talked through any questions. They performed the job and midway through asked me to walk through and let them know if I wanted anything else. Based on our walk through, they removed one more large oak branch that was close to the deck. Then at the end of the job, they cleaned up nicely and thoroughly, and had me do one final walk through. I will be using Mathers Tree Service again - this fall / winter to take care of the oaks that they recommended to leave alone until it wasn't so hot ... I'd happily recommend this company to my friends and neighbors. read more

Wonderful customer service: friendly, responsive, and prompt. Estimate was well-priced and they were able to come out the following week to remove the tree along with all the debris. The job was perfect and our yard was perfectly cleaned up they did a fabulous job and at an unbelievable price. We will be using Mathers in the future. read more

I phoned and left a voicemail for a quote. They called back same day even though they don't service my area. They did provide a referral. Very professional and friendly. read more

We just had a wonderful experience with Mathers Tree Service. I'd give more stars if I could. Mathers helped remove 3 precarious trees near our home that needed to be removed. We got multiple bids before we ended up going with Mathers. Not only was theirs the lowest bid, they showed up for on time for the estimate, and they also talked us out of some work that didn't need to be done (a few trees we thought needing thinning). They estimated the removal would take two days - they completed it in one and charged us less as a result. They also left our yard and driveway so clean it was hard to tell they'd even been here. 1000% recommend. read more

The guy who came to my property was friendly. He told me they were a small company and that I should see what I get from other bids. I still haven't received my quote from him. I have a feeling he just isn't interested in the job. read more

These guys are the best. Punctual, tidy, respectful of property and well priced. I will continue to use them and highly recommend.

+ Good service + Knowledgable - Not great communication Did fit us in sooner than originally scheduled for an emergency but didn't get back to us as promised to let us know and worked fast so yay/boo/yay read more

Mitch came out to give a quote and was super friendly and approachable. Due to the size and proximity of my tree to the house, he said I would need a crane for the work and that he would be unable to help me - but went out of his way to provide me with the information for two vendors that he recommended that were more budget friendly, versus the big name crane operator tree remover in the area. Thank you! read more

Mathers did an awesome job trimming my very large oak tree. They showed up on time, were very polite, knew what they were doing, and cleaned up well. And all for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended. read more

Outstanding tree service! Emily and Mitch are always a pleasure to work with. Last year the crew pruned and shaped a tree in my front yard...it grew out beautifully. Yesterday Rich and Nick removed three plum trees and pruned and shaped four orange trees. On time! On the ball! The price is the best and so is the work! I won't call anyone else! Five +++ stars!!! read more

Great communication. Friendly and professional. The best estimate I was given out of 4 considering all the work they had to do. They work fast, are very efficient. After moving in just a few months ago, the backyard and everything that comes with having your first home was overwhelming. But after meeting Mitch, and communicating with Emily, I already knew I would go with them... it was a very easy experience. I had a total of 7 trees removed in a very small backyard - no issues. Besides just tidying up, they had put up 3 boards of our fence that had fallen a few weeks ago, just because. I will definitely keep them as my go-to in the future. read more

I called these folks off of one of those inserts in the Valpak over a year ago and got a really reasonable quote for removal of some large trees and trimming of a large oak in my back yard. I called them up 2 weeks ago finally and the quote was still good they came out within a week and in 4 hours knocked out removal of three trees one of which was atleast 50ft tall. 4 guys including the owners (father and son) and 2 other helpers. Very polite, got right to work and let me know progress along the way. Couldn't ask for a better experience. I'll definitely use these guys again and I highly recommend them read more

After obtaining several estimates, it was clear that Mather's Tree Service was the way to go. Mitch was honest, knowledgeable, and able to work with me on what I needed. The crew that came out was fantastic. Each were friendly, efficient, respectuful of my property, and obviously very experienced. They cleaned up all waste, including some leaves that had fallen from other trees they didn't work on. I can't say enough about them, other than this is a first-rate company with honest, hard-working, trust-worthy employees. read more

I hired them to trim a very large oak in front of our house. They showed up on time and worked hard for about 5 hours. The crew of 4 removed the dead branches and raised the canopy by cutting off the lowest branches. I was impressed with all of their hard work. It was a great show to watch them work on the tree top with their ropes. I was very impressed with both their hard work and beautiful results. read more

We had a great experience working with Mathers Tree Service. They did a beautiful job reducing the bulk in our liquid amber tree yesterday. Communication throughout the whole process was easy.
