Quick response, competitive quote and very good service done on promised date. Other highly rated competitor wanted more than double!

I found this company through a Google search and this was the second tree service company I received an estimate from. Mitch provided a fair price for removal of a privet and orange tree. They were conscientious about not damaging vehicles or a neighbor's patio overhang, two potential hazards that were in the area they were working. Their clean up job was good and all in all I am quite happy with having more sunlight and less hassle in my yard. Would recommend. read more

I had shopped around for different quotes on pruning a sycamore tree and a palm tree and everyone besides Mathers Tree Service was giving me wild quotes. But Mitchell came by and knew exactly what kind of trees they were, how to trim them properly and gave me the best quote out of 3 others I looked into. Mitchell and his father and the rest of his crew were extremely polite and incredibly thorough. They arrived early and were done quickly. They were professional and friendly the entire time and kept checking in with me during the process to make sure everything was to my liking and they were not over-trimming. I will definitely be using them again in the future. -- Oh yeah and I also love their website and logo! read more

They trimmed our huge sycamore tree at front yard. The job was done professionally, efficiently, and at a fair price. After the trimming, they cleaned everything up and chipped the branches. We kept the chips for mulching. We are very pleased with the wonderful job done by Mathers Tree Service and will certainly recommend them to people with confidence! Ling read more

This is the 3rd tree we've had removed or trimmed by these guys. Friendly, Fair prices and excellent work. Communication is great and very professional! This time the tree we had removed was near a gas line. They coordinated with 811 and made sure everything was safe and sound. They always clean up as if they were never there. Highly recommend! read more

Can not say enough great things about this company. I got 5 quotes from different tree removal companies in the area and they quoted me the best price on removing the tree in our backyard and grinding the stump. It's a father and son that run the company and they were both professional and friendly. On the day of the removal, they arrived early and got the job done in half a day. I had two stumps in the backyard that they ground down the stumps for me for free. Highly recommend them! read more

Mathers Tree Service did a really great job removing a 60 plus year old Mulberry tree with extensive roots. Mitch provided a very reasonable estimate on the spot and explained the options. They scheduled the work arrived on time and worked very hard in 95 degree heat. They are a family owned and very professional business I highly recommend them. read more

Great work and communication. All correspondence was done via email and cell without any issues. I would definitely recommend Mathers.

We just had a 70 foot redwood removed and Mathers did an EXCELLENT job! We could not be happier! Mitch came in with a great bid, and that included an arborist report (Martinez is a Tree City and requires a permit to remove certain trees), tree removal in two days, stump grinding, and clean-up. We kept the mulch/bark, and Mitch had half of it unloaded on our driveway for easy access, while graciously helping us donate the remaining half to a local park that uses it for mulch around fruit trees. Professional, punctual, timely, and very nice people to work with! Ours was a huge job, and they worked hard to get it all done in two days! Amazing! We whole-heartedly recommend Mathers Tree Service! Great family business that is local - fabulous to support this team! read more

These guys are great. We had two large trees that needed to be removed. Their bid was reasonable (better than some of the other local companies). They showed up early to set up and they expertly removed the two trees within a couple of hours. There were a lot of very large branches that they managed to lower by using a very controlled technique with ropes. It was obvious they knew what they were doing. They also cleaned up and left the yard and driveway looking better than when they arrived. The team was pleasant, quiet, tidy and quick. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who has a job that needs to be done right. read more

We just had Mathers remove a large tree that was doing some damage to our foundation. They were fast, reliable, and the price was right! We have a metal shingle roof which is very hard to walk on without damaging. The crew was very aware of this and took extra time and effort to remove the tree without getting on the roof. I highly recommend them for any tree removal and pruning service! read more

Mitch did a great job today! Very pleased with the price for cutting down and removing an Ash Tree. The job was done in an hour! Five stars to Mathers Tree Service! read more

Hired them to trim some trees. They were prompt about returning calls, showed up on time, were friendly, kept me involved in the actual work process about what I wanted done, charged a competitive rate (actually, better than most), and cleaned up well when done. When they first gave me the estimate, Mitch took the time to explain the parameters of their work (e.g. limitations on how much of the trees they could trim). They also allowed their estimate to stand for 6 months. read more

Both the owners, Mitch and Rich, came to our house to do a lot of very overdue tree pruning, cutting and removal and did the work so quickly and efficiently that we were surprised at how fast it happened. Both are super talented in what they do and very easy to work with. The crew of four worked together well and did an amazing job, doing exactly what we had requested. I would highly recommend Mathers Tree Service to anyone, and if I were able to give six stars, I would definitely do so. read more

I also had a great experience with Mathers Tree Service. Mitch came gave us a good price, 5 days after initial estimate visit they came and did a awesome job. Before they left they cleaned and Mitch walked with me, showed me what they did and asked if I was satisfied. I was. I have to comment on bright and happy smile Mitch has on his face. It is nice to see somebody working hard and enjoying what they do. Family owned and operated business, I will recommend them and use them in the future. read more

We hired Mathers to remove a leaning Oak tree on our property. Mitch gave a great bid which included an arborist report, as Concord requires it since it was a protected tree. The crew arrived right on time and had the tree removed, and another one trimmed by the afternoon. They even took care when trimming the 2nd tree to not just let things fall, as I had a vegetable garden partially underneath the tree that could have easily been destroyed. We intend to hire them again in a couple years when the trees in the backyard need trimming again. read more

I received quotes from a handful of tree trimmers and Mather's gave me a very competitive bid. They won my business due to their very professional manner and honest approach. The owners showed up to my property with a team of workers to complete the job. They all listened carefully to how I wanted the job done. Then they went promptly to work. They trimmed the trees like pro's and were very swift. They even checked in with me several times throughout the process to ensure I was pleased with their progress. When they were done, the cleaned up all debris and haled it away. I highly recommend these guys for their expert, professional work ethic. read more

Mitch is very responsive, extremely knowledgeable and really cares about his work and his customers. We are big supporters of family-owned and operated businesses, and what we really liked about Mitch is that he didn't just quote our job and disappear...he was on the job site while work was being done to ensure our satisfaction. His quote was fair, and his crew was very careful while removing a tree extremely close to our house. Their cleanup was top notch - our yard was so clean following their work. I would not hesitate to hire Mitch and his crew for future jobs. Thank you Mitch! read more

Great company. I called for an estimate on having a big tall cypress tree removed and Mitchell came out and said probably about 300 dollars. He said he could come back in two days to take it out if I wished. They arrived a bit early and the job was done in less than an hour. They cut the tree, ground the stump up, cleaned up and left...super efficient and friendly. They let my 8 year old watch the whole thing . He also only charged us $250 since it didn't quite as long as planned. I would totally use them again and probably will. read more

Mitch gave me me a reasonable estimate to remove eight dead birch trees and three cypress trees, and to cut back a lot of overhanging branches from a couple of oak trees on my neighbor's property. The large crew showed up early, started to work immediately, and got everything done within about 2-1/2 hours. They cleaned everything up, leaving no debris on the ground when they left. They even ground out a stump from a tree that had been removed years ago at no extra charge. The crew was professional and personable, and I recommend Mathers to anyone looking for a tree service. read more

Mathers just finished trimming our old oak tree. We are thrilled. It was leaning over the master bedroom & we really didn't want it gone. It provides a lot of shade in the summer. The gentlemen took about 25% out of the head & it doesn't look like it was scalped. They removed the heavy branches over the house & it's hard to tell where they cut it. Guess what? They were here right when they said they would be. Took less than 3 hours. Price was right too. Thanks Guys read more

First class. Removed a number of trees from our back yard and were professional throughout. Arrived on time for both the quote and tree removal, and knew what they were doing. Didn't cause any damage - which arguably is the most important thing, and tidied up after themselves, so first class and would not hesitate to recommend. read more
