The biggest problem with this place is the reception; there's never anyone at the front desk to show you to your seat, and it takes a long time for someone to appear and do it. After someone finally appeared and I sat down, my daughter and I opted for: - Fig and prosciutto pizza $19.00, which was very tasty despite having almost no prosciutto in it. - Bistro burger $19.00, I don't know where that's a bistro because there's nothing special about that burger. Overall, very expensive for ordinary food. Our waitress was super nice and helpful. The atmosphere was pleasant but quite normal.

Matchbox at Sawgrass is a must visit! We did the unlimited brunch with unlimited drinks, and it was truly worth every dollar. The food was incredible, the steak and eggs were cooked to perfection, and the chicken and waffles were a standout. We started with the spinach dip, and the portions were seriously generous! The drinks were just as impressive..unlimited old fashioneds and strawberry lemon drops? Yes, please! The ambiance was very chill with great music! A special shoutout to our server, Jadee, who was absolutely amazing and had spot-on recommendations. We can't wait to come back for another unforgettable brunch!

First i want to say the manager and our server was amazing. Eddie the manager and Julio our sever was nice listened and responded to critism. We started with cheese bread and it was ok. Then my drink was a cranberry sangría non alcoholic tasted like cranberry juice with a leaf it was supposed to have apple slices but that was missing. Then my fish and chips looked amazing but lakes flavor. I added salt and pepper to make it more flavorful. Despite that i live sitting outside and people watching and i will always come back to try more food on the menu

The service was not good. We came in for lunch on a normal Tuesday, and there was no one at the front to seat us. There ended up being a line to be seated because no one was coming for at least 7 minutes. Finally, when we were seated, the girl had to rush to clean our table, and we didn't have cutlery for 30 minutes. Someone came to take our order quickly, but when we asked for lemon and ice with our waters, nothing. Had to wait for the other waitress to bring it again. Our main waitress was very nice and quick. I feel bad, it seems like they're understaffed or something. We ordered the lunch special, where it's a salad and sandwich or a salad and pasta. I ordered the apple and pear salad with the chicken sandwich (see pictures) everything was really good! The value was really good. The portion size was really good too! Left full, and my friend even had to take some home with her cause of how full she got. Overall, it was a good experience. The environment was cute, clean, very big, and red, but it was totally empty when we arrived. I would come back to try again; maybe it was just an off day.

Sunday Brunch: We were disappointed. We got seated about 12:40. After our first drinks came at about 1, we waited for our server and didn't order a second drink or food until 1:40. The drinks came out wrong. Each time we ordered drinks they were different! I don't know if I was drinking a mimosa or a martini. Most of the time, it tasted like a mimosa yet advertised as a lemon drop martini. We got 1 drink every hour with bottomless being $25 that's ridiculous and a waste especially if they actually enforced the 2 hour table limit. After being there over 3 hours we each only tried 2 things on the $49 "unlimited" menu. Moreover I am dissatisfied with how long everything took! We could not enjoy the menu, atmosphere, music nor drinks because we were hAngry. Everything you order (drinks and food) takes 1 hour to come out. The drinks were room temperature. The food was barely warm. The food did taste well. I just wish it was actually warm. The Buffalo wings were my favorite. We enjoyed catfish & grits, steak & eggs were good. The French toast toppings made it to tart. They have a great concept, but it doesn't seem thought through for the crowd. Not some place I'd like to recommend positively to others, hoping it improves over time.

Stopped in last min Sunday midday to grab something quick after running errands all morning, and we had a great time! The music was amazing, the crowd was great and eveyone genuinely seemed to have been enjoying their brunch! We were seated right away, and we placed our orders for a few Bloody Mary's, and 2 meals. I opted for the shrimp and grits, which was delicious! Well cooked shrimp, not overdone or tough, and the grits were seasoned well with Cajun spices. We also ordered the beef sliders, with a side of biscuits. The 2 meals came out, and the biscuits arrived about 20 minutes after we placed our orders. Seemed so odd for a very simple menu item. By the time they came out, we were done with our meals and asked for a box to take them with us. The Bloody Beer was delicious (a version of their Bloody Mary), it was refreshing, and had a good tomato to beer ratio. I never knew that Matchbox offered a bunch option, but is wonder if you're visiting with some friends. For about $35 you get unlimited food for 2 hours, not including drinks (drinks have a different set pricing). I'll definitely be returning, mainly for the grits and some bloody Mary's!

This place is very nicely decorated, very convenient and located in the mall property. They have a room for events that is separate from the dining room and is really a very fancy and elegant spot to throw a gathering of 20-30 ppl. I recently attended a work event here and the food was top-notch. Service and ambience the same. Very well done. I had the ribeye which was extremely flavorful, and cooked perfectly, especially considering around 15 others ordered it in my group (of about 25). The mashed potatoes and asparagus were also 5/5! But the star of the show was very surprising. It was the pear and walnut salad! With blue cheese which I usually hate! WTH do they put in that dressing!? Either way it is paired so well and excellently balanced. This was a triangulation of everything hitting the spot and the night being memorable because of the place we chose to do the dinner event. And that deserves a 5/5 in my book. I'd def go back and get that same meal. Oh almost forgot! The cheesecake was also very tasty.

Clean and unique interior with cartoon characters on the tables. Service was pretty quick and They offer Unlimited brunch on the weekends !! You can order 2-3 three items at a time from the menu and the breakfast burrito is self served. Food was pretty good, Definitely order the hot honey pizza!! Best thing on the menu. Unfortunately the chicken with my waffle was bland and cold

I tried brunch at Matchbox twice and I loved it. Chris our server on my first visit was very friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure having him assist us with our orders. Everything that we ordered was delicious. I had the Waffles with bacon with a side of Fried Chicken strips. I also ordered the peach mimosa- that was delicious. I only needed one glass

Stopped in for some post shopping bites and was pleasantly surprised by the happy hour menu. We took a seat outside to enjoy the weather and people watch. I didn't want to spoil my dinner so I had the wings and meatballs. Everything came out quickly which was great because I was famished! Lol. Our server was polite and efficient. And the food was pretty good. I'd definitely stop back in when in Sawgrass.

Great pizza

The spinach and artichoke dip is actually really good. I suggest asking for it with chips as well as the pizza bread.. the fish and chips is good, but in my opinion, it used to be crispy and not so greasy. You can substitute your side of fries for another side.

Brianna C.

Visited this restaurant for their happy hour specials at Sawgrass Mall. The food and drink options for happy hour were very affordable and tasty based on what we tried. We also enjoyed one of their craft beers and a guava margarita. Be aware that the happy hour specials are only valid for bar seating, if available. A great option in the mall for a quick bite and drink.

The CREAM OF CRAB SOUP is deliciousssssss!!! I'm a soup girly and I loved this. I didn't love the herb crusted salmon salad, I think that was probably a mistake on our part, but the other salads sound so much better. Side of fries helped wash down the mistake salad. We'll come back again to try more of the menu. Our waiter was nice and the people watching is great at Sawgrass!

We came after a busy morning at the beach and I was craving something fresh. After a quick search on Yelp, I found Naked Farmer and was reminded that we were super close to it. It's fairly close to Sawgrass Mills mall and is in a plaza with a good amount of parking. Although the outside seems small, the space inside is pretty long and has a good amount of seating. The servining is "chipotle-style" where you order your food and customize it how you want it and pay at the register at the end. I shared a bowl with my partner and we got half rice and half greens, some toppings, and the chicken thigh. This was a good amount for us to share and it was delicious! We also tried their date cake and my partner was a huge fan of it. I loved how clean the inside was and how nice all the staff was. They had water cups for self service and it was cold even without ice, which I loved! When you're done with your food, you put them away in a cabinet which is constantly cleaned out by staff which helped give the space a clean aesthetic. Very thought through and intentional on their behalf. Loved Naked Farmer and would definitely get again if I'm in the area or craving something fresh!

And the place is brightly lit and seems to be really clean. On this day, I decided to try the roasted chicken. I believe it was supposed to have some type of rosemary on it. I'm not sure what's going on these days but it seems like most places are cooking chicken when it's still frozen. It just had that cooked from frozen texture to it. It was tough and bland. I tried the macaroni and cheese, which I did like and the carrots, which I also did like, both solid sides something I would get again. I was able to get the kale Caesar with my plate, which I thought was excellent. It had the right amount of dressing on it. I do plan on returning to try the salmon. Hopefully I have a better experience with that.

It was a bit light in that area but still delicious. For drinks, we had espresso and lychee martinis which were divine. I live for the scallops at Seasons 52 and it's my regular dish when I go. This dish did not disappoint. Perfectly seared and seasoned with a squeeze of lemon. You can't miss. The hubs had the surf and turf which was equally as good. The steak cut like butter and the lobster was delicious. We got the Mac n cheese for the table and, again, creamy yuminess. I would definitely recommend for a date night or special occasion. Not only was he very apologetic, he seemed like he actually cared about making the situation right. After inquiring a bit more about the service that night he graciously invited me back for another meal. I understand mistakes happens so it's truly about how they're taken care of after the fact. In this case, it was handled well. I decided to come for brunch this time & overall, it was a really good meal. They weren't super busy but service was good. Our appetizers, drinks & meals all came out in a timely manner. For the most part, everything was right but one of the hash brown sides came out cold (it was quickly swapped for fresh ones). My chicken & waffles were delicious. I especially liked how freshly breaded/fried the chicken was. There was a misunderstanding when it came to ordering our drinks, however. I ordered one that should've came iced but got the other coffee beverage which is served warm. When I brought it up to the waiter he was adamant that it's what I ordered & how it's served. After I questioned it once more, he stuck to that, so I kept the drink. Thankfully, it tasted really good & was poured well but it wasn't what I ordered. It was just a bit off putting that he said it was. He said he'd take the drinks off but this was after we went back & forth about it. This isn't a make or break situation for me but he was set in his ways. As a server, you need to be as adaptive as possible, even if you believe you're right. I'm super thankful to have been invited back because it was a nice meal, as I expected. I'm glad I can now tell people to try them out in good conscience. If you're looking for some delicious food, tasty drinks & good service then you should stop by. They have something for everyone & their staff does a solid job.

Ally's comfort Café has been a staple in Northwest Davie forever. *Now, Ally, moved away a little while ago and new owners took over. They kept the same recipes which made us hopeful that things would pretty much remain the same. But little by little all of the staff that had been there for years started leaving. I think there's only a couple of the longtime staff left. We'll get back to the staff in a moment. My wife and I go to Ally's every Saturday morning. We go there have a great breakfast and then go to the Publix next-door to do our weekly shopping. There's obviously going to be hiccups when new owners take over a restaurant. We totally understand this. But some things are just not improving. They open at 8 AM on Saturdays. But, between 8 and 9 AM there's only one waitress and one bus boy this didn't always used to be the case. They used to have the full staff and someone at the door to take names. He would also help out by getting you drinks or more coffee if you needed it. It worked really well for the small family restaurant. The new owners took over and at some point they decided they only needed limited staff between 8 and 9 AM on Saturdays. And of course, every Saturday my wife and I go in there. It gets packed and the waitress is running around like her head is cut off and the busboy is overwhelmed. This isn't a one time thing it has been constant since they made the staffing change. It's completely unfair to the waitress and busboy and it's also a complete turn off to patrons who have to wait sometimes up to 10 or 15 minutes just for the poor waitress to come and take their order this morning. A couple waited 20 minutes before their order was taken. Also, the owner/manager doesn't get there until almost 9 herself, which means there's no management in the restaurant to help with the register or put out "fires." It. Is. Not. Working. Ally's has been known for their specials for years. They always have amazing special pancakes and special French toast. It's one of the main reasons we still go there. It's our little weekly treat. Lately the specials have been very monotonous. Some sort of jelly put on some French toast or some sort of cream put on a pancake. Not real imaginative for instance, today was banana cream and chocolate pancakes. It was a dollop of banana cream on a chocolate pancake that had little taste. One could've added some fresh bananas, or maybe some whipped cream on top of that. Meanwhile, the special pancakes and special French toast are often made wrong by the staff. This happened this morning. It took them twice to get the pancakes right and three times to get the French toast, right. Again, this is not a one time occur occurrence. We never complain. But we were surprised to still see those items on the bill and not discounted at all, but that's OK. The thing that really drove me to write this review, is that I waited for more than 10 minutes to speak to the owner/manager on our way out. I thought the best way to handle our dissatisfaction would be to speak to her personally. She disappeared into the kitchen, and even after the waitress went to tell her we were waiting to speak with her, she was nowhere to be found. No I understand things come up in the kitchen, but she could've at least came out and said hey I know you're here, I'm dealing with a problem, I'll be right back. But we waited and waited and waited and nothing despite all of the above, that's what irked me the most. I will say this. The food is still very good. And the waitresses and buses are amazing. None of this is their fault. They should all be paid more in dealing with a kitchen that can't get right and an owner that can't seem to figure out good customer service. We will certainly give them another chance, it's part of our routine. But after biting my tongue, I had to let everyone know what was happening at one of our favorite spots in Broward County.

Like "let's take pictures before we eat because this patio belongs in a lifestyle magazine" gorgeous. Las Olas energy at its finest. The outdoor seating is fantastic, the atmosphere feels upscale without being stuffy, and honestly, the food was outstanding. Which is why this hurts. We came for Mother's Day brunch and intentionally avoided rushing over for happy hour pricing because we wanted a relaxed meal. Adult decision. Responsible. Mature. Mistake number one apparently. Started with the charred corn and avocado dip and I need whoever created that dish to be recognized with some sort of civic award. Ridiculously good. One of those appetizers where you immediately start calculating whether licking the bowl in public is socially acceptable. Then came the steak and eggs discussion. My wife and I were both looking at the steak and eggs listed on the menu for $26.75. Our waiter explained that the standard steak was only four ounces and casually suggested upgrading to a six ounce or eight ounce cut instead. Now listen carefully because this is where the plot twists into a financial thriller. At no point during this conversation was pricing for the upgrade mentioned. And shame on me for not asking. That part is absolutely on me. But the suggestion was delivered with the same casual energy as "would you like fries with that?" So I upgraded to the eight ounce. My wife went with the six ounce. She also had a margarita she loved. We skipped dessert because we were stuffed and, as it turns out, accidentally entering a luxury cattle futures market. Then the handheld payment machine arrived. $175. I stared at that screen like it had just informed me my mortgage was due immediately. Turns out those extra six ounces of sirloin between the two plates carried an upcharge that could finance a small fishing boat. Roughly ten dollars an ounce for the upgrade. Somewhere, a Wagyu cow laughed at me from a distance. And look, before anybody jumps in, yes... I should have asked. Lesson learned. But restaurants also know exactly what they're doing when upgrade pricing gets floated around casually without numbers attached. There's a difference between upselling and a sneak attack. Which makes this review frustrating because I genuinely loved almost everything else. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was fantastic. Service was friendly. But nothing tanks the ending of a brunch quite like feeling blindsided by steak math. Pro tip for future diners: If they suggest the upgraded steak, ask the price immediately. Ask twice. Possibly get it notarized. Three stars because I really do want to come back someday. But right now I still feel like I got hit with a reverse happy hour.
