Overall a pretty average restaurant. We came around 7pm on a Friday night and were seated immediately. There were plenty of open seats inside, and just a few open on their outdoor patio. They had live music which was fun for a spring evening. For the food, the pizza was good and the Caesar salad was just meh. We ordered half a fire + smoke and half chicken pesto pizza. The fire + smoke I wish was a little spicier. The chicken pesto was good! The salad I would not order again. The lettuce was limp, there were barely any croutons, and the dressing was extremely average. The manager was friendly. He was visiting all the tables. Our server was nice but was very rushed. When he came to "check" on us, it was more of him rushing past us while yelling "you guys good?" He didn't refill our drinks. We were actually interested in their desserts, but our server didn't even give us the chance. As soon as we took our last bites, he cleared our plates, and brought us the check asking how we wanted to pay. He just seemed very rushed overall. Delicious, especially with the addition of some red pepper flakes and extra parmesan cheese. My husband also got a Double IPA (large) to go with the pizza. The bill came and the one glass of beer turned out to be $11.50. A bit steep for what I think....During their Social Hour customers can get $2-3 off some beers, so that brought the beer price a bit.....so the total for the meal was just under $20 before tip. We previously loved Matchbox. I made some dietary changes and the menu was not as appealing, so we had not been in several years. My husband was in the mood for their pizza, so we went back recently on a Saturday afternoon. They now have brunch and a regular menu. The day we were there, it seemed like the kitchen could not keep up with providing both. The music is super loud, it has a club vibe more than a restaurant vibe. The problem was the chicken breast was so thin that when they fried it (possibly a little too long) it got hard so the knife wasn't cutting it. The cinnamon rolls were good. The other person that ordered the chicken and waffles had the same problem. Someone else ordered a skillet looking thing with steak and eggs. It was 4 strips of steak and was $32 for something that was the size of a side. Not even a plate. Additionally when they took the drink order my friend and I were completely overlooked and never asked what we wanted. The music was good but too loud to allow for a conversation to happen without shouting across the table. The atmosphere is lovely decorated for xmas. We sat upstairs. There was only 1 bathroom each for men & women which was a bit surprising it didn't have multiple stalls. We drove from WPB after seeing them on IG. We had shrimp and grits which was mediocre as was Alfredo pizza. We had 1 fantastic pepperoni pizza & the 2nd one tasted totally different and even looked different. Excellent quality coffee. Sweet tea not very sweet. Yummy waffles, chicken was ok. Tacos were good too. Too far for us to make the drive again but it is more than food, it's a whole brunch experience and that part was cool. Oh no, not possible because those nice big beautiful tables that are sitting empty are actually reserved for customers nowhere in sight. This is a two-story establishment and on the second floor? Same story--nope, not possible for us to be seated here either. Our only hope for searing was outside on the patio with the sun pelting down. We chose not to go that route. During the hour-and-a-half long wait, my spouse and I walked the outdoor stores (very hot that day) then headed back in time to be seated, that is before Matchbox staff texted us. Finally, we were seated only to be told that no menu other than their limited BRUNCH would be available... its now roughly 3 pm. WOW!!!!! REALLLY????? Amazing, Fun Night! I made a reservation inside for 6 people for my husband's birthday, and as soon as we checked in, the hostess and manager told us they had a firepit table available, and asked if we would like to sit outside. The weather was 67 degrees - perfect to sit outside with a firepit! We were shown to our table, and there was a live singer singing a great selection of songs including Latin music. Natalie came to the table, introduced herself and was so friendly, and so attentive - she made suggestions, laughed with us, and made us feel so welcome. Stumbled upon the most amazing all-you-can-eat place the other day, and I just HAD to tell you about it. Seriously, it was incredible! I think I ate enough to feed a small village - I was completely full! The service was fantastic; they kept bringing out plate after plate of deliciousness right to our table. And the portions? It was an early Sunday dinner for one, and a great first-time experience at this American dining restaurant. From the get-go, their hostess greeted me with a huge smile and set the ambiance to kick off my experience. Ken came right over and recommended a few drinks and starters. I decided on their red sangria and hot artichoke-spinach & cheese dip with pita bread instead of chips. They were just right! To my surprise, I was seated at the Wonder Woman matchbox table--I was happy as could be! The restaurant wasn't too busy. Since they have both indoor and outdoor seating, everyone was seated comfortably with enough room between them and other larger parties. It seems like a great place for a pre-game gathering with friends, although the FLA Live arena down the street hosts concerts and other events too. Ken was a Godsend! We talked briefly about food & drinks and I made some recommendations of my own. Without hesitation, I went in on my fish and chips, except I chose sweet potato fries instead and I was thrilled I did! The portions here are generous to where I had to take food home with me. Just as I was leaving, I found out they serve brunch on Saturdays & Sundays from 11 a.m - 3 p.m., and, they can help with corporate meetings, birthdays, showers, and other events. I watched the bartender muddle the jalapeño into the drink and some places don't do all that. It was very delicious. My friend got the patio pounder lemonade and said it was very good as well. Admittedly I try to manage expectations for mall-adjacent restaurants, but this spot pleasantly surpassed them. Our server was very helpful and communicative, as we kept ordering items that they were out of. Thankfully for Yelp, I saw people liked the arancini - which was perfectly fried and delicious. Then we shared the bacon bianca pizza, which also hit the spot, somehow combined like a club or cobb salad with a white pizza. All the ingredients were so fresh!
