Came on a whim as I was shopping at Sawgrass and wanted some place that wouldn't have a long wait. It's away from the crowds located in the Colonnade outlet section, the higher end of Sawgrass. On a busy Saturday evening, we were seated and served promptly. The service was spot on. The meatball was our starter, it really was ginormous. It will run you $15 but I'd say it's worth it. The pizza was just okay, it was flavorful but not the best I've had, it was more of a bar style. My husband got a chicken sandwich, priced at $19 is a bit steep, but it was a large portion and came with some yummy fries. The only thing I was bummed about was that there wasn't happy hour on the weekends, since their happy hour prices seem much more reasonable. If there was weekend happy hour it may have drawn in more of a crowd. I'd definitely return during the week for happy hour if I'm in the Sawgrass area. read more

Deja was our waitress and she was amazing and attentive. I've seen complaints about how slow the service was but everything came out right on time for me. She made all my drinks on point and I left out feeling a little buzzed. We came on a Saturday our reservation was at 12:45 the atmosphere was nice and it wasn't crowded. I would come back again but probably wouldn't do the all you can eat because personally I don't eat this much on a regular. Keep in mind the all you can eat is shareable. But listen when I say the friggin French toast was THEE BEST I've ever tasted and I'm a French toast enthusiast (lol). Came during the Dine Out Fort Lauderdale promotion and it was definitely a deal. We even got there during happy hour and I got their patio pounder lemonade. Great for those who love watermelon on a hot day like it was. Speaking of that, unfortunately it was rather hot in the restaurant. My bf got their zero proof dragon fruit mojito and it was divine! Best part were the free refills because I think we had about 4 total it was so refreshing. We got their $35 lunch that includes 2 courses each. I tried their crab & avocado tower as my appetizer with the bistro burger for my meal. My bf ordered the 3 mini burgers to start and the 10 inch pepperoni pizza as his meal. The mini burgers come with what's gotta be a pound of crispy onion rings on top. Totally unexpected but they are perfectly seasoned & crispy, making for a great snack. Everything came out delicious, I love the crab & avocado tower. We had enough for leftovers for sure. Such a bummer..... and a disappointment for the price you pay and service ( both pick-up and dine-in) I used to love getting the ribs and the fig& prosciutto pizza here. And once again this is the 5th time I get a crappy excuse why they don't give cornbread with the ribs...( oh we didn't cook it ... oh it's optional when you select coleslaw ) especially when the menu says the ribs are paired with slaw and either a choice of cornbread or fries. And when you order for pick up the only side options you get online are either slaw or fries ..... seriously why would anyone pay about 28 for just ribs and a side of slaw ???.... Such a rip-off and deceptive advertisement. And both my pizza and ribs were cold! Went here for lunch today and it was very good. Unfortunately the air conditioning was broken on the day we went so it was very warm, but the staff was very nice. I ordered three different dishes and they were out of each one, however the manager was extremely accommodating and ended up comping three separate appetizers that he brought to make up for the dishes they had run out of. Overall this was a great place to watch the game and the booths were pretty comfortable. The food though a bit expensive was very good. I have eaten at Matchbox several times since they opened almost five years. I like the setup of the restaurant. It feels like I am up north with a woodsy feel. I mainly order pizza here but have also had their fried chicken sandwich and their burger sliders. I like their sliders a lot. The meat is juicy and flavorful. The chicken sandwich is pretty good but maybe a little too fried for my taste. I do like the pizza best. It is flavorful and the cheese is delicious. The only thing is the crust is very thin. I like a thicker crust but will still come back here foe the pizza again and again. They have a Happy Hour. It is from 3 to 6 Monday through Friday. I ordered a half rack of pork ribs with cornbread and a side Caesar salad. The portions of the salad and the half rack were perfect. The salad was overdressed, but it was good. The ribs were a bit underwhelming as they were dry. The cornbread was good, especially when you lather it with the honey butter it comes with. Overall, it was good. After shopping we decided to grab some food. I've been to sawgrass mills a thousand times but never dined at Matchbox, so I decided to try it. Even though it was a Friday night at 8pm, we were were seated right away. Appetizers: we got a side Caesar salad as well as the Buffalo wings. The wings were great but the salad was not. It lacked enough salad dressing and the little that was on it was watered down. Entree: I got the fettuccine alfredo which normally comes with chicken and mushrooms. I wanted neither of those in my pasta dish so I requested the mushrooms be removed and to replace the chicken with shrimp. The pasta was good, I would order it again. My husband ordered the Creole Short Ribs which was one of the specials that night. He enjoyed his meal as well. The entrees did take a very long time to arrive which was the only downside. read more

Would have given 5 stars, but I'm a bit confused about the pricing -- the "bottomless drinks" are listed as $25, but then there's a $1 charge for every refill? The guacamole on the happy hour menu was delicious with a bit of tajin on top; we also really enjoyed the potstickers. I ordered the mini burgers, which ended up being my "entree." 12-22-22 Noon reservation on Open Table Came here before the Christmas holidays to take my temp that has been working with me for a nice lunch. Since it is located at the Sawgrass Mall and it is the holidays as well as season I planned accordingly and came early and parked in the parking garage and walked over. Once inside it was everything you would want in a restaurant very open in design and warm and inviting. We were lead to a booth and the place wasn't too busy crazy busy yet which was nice. After reviewing the menu we decided on salads and pizza. My salad was delicious and a perfect size as was the pizza. We had leftovers so we took them back to the office. Definitely would come back soon as this is the kind of place that feels upscale as well as a welcomed retreat if only just for a short while. The staff were amazing. Unsure how this restaurant has 4 stars. Not a ton of options. The service took forever! Others who ordered around us got their food before us. Restaurant is nice in appearance but bathrooms were not very clean. The best thing was the bread appetizer with a little marinara sauce and "garlic butter" but the butter was sweet and delicious. Got the sausage ragu pasta but the meat tasted weird and burnt. The children's cheese pizza, we've had better pizza. The ribs tasted like wet dog. Great for a groups. We went to celebrate 2 birthdays. The ambience is great whether you sit indoors or outside. They have a variety types of sitting arranges.. You can sit up or downstairs. We were able to watch the football game. Service and staff is amazing. We loved the Tuna Tartar Tacos so much that ordered it twice. The food was delicious from appetizers & drinks to dessert.
