Went on a Tuesday night and it was relatively empty. There is inside and outside seating, we chose to sit inside but a member of my group has previously come and sat outside and they lit the fires for him at the outside tables. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive and always made sure our drinks were full. We ordered the fried macaroni appetizer and it was so so good, I highly recommend it. It's very rich and creamy and the sauce is the perfect pairing. Perfect for sharing as it may be too rich to eat all alone. The apple pear salad was also very good with a nice vinaigrette. My group all felt that the lobster fettuccine was bland but they were generous with the lobster and the pasta was a perfect al dente. Overall a really pleasant experience. read more

Service was a bit slow but it was a Sunday. Pizza was not mind blowing but it was decent considering it's in a mall and not an actual Italian restaurant. I will say it was a bit bland and lacking salt but still okay. Artichoke dip was good although a bit cold, not giving chips and serving bread instead is definitely a choice (the wrong one). The dj was extremely loud and playing nauseating outdated pop hits the whole time which hurts the experience. It was so loud someone asked to sit outside even though it's super cold today. read more

We came in today to celebrate my brothers birthday and have brunch. I had lemon blueberry pancakes and they were pleasant. Customer service was terrible. Our Waitress was rude and inconsistent. We saw her a matter of five times within the few hours of us being there. She tried to cheat herself a bigger tip on top of the $85 gratuity that she did not truly deserve. Other servers were very lovely and kind. The manager was a true kind gentlemen. read more

The food is not good the stuffed French toast is not stuffed. It's toast layered with fruit and sauce. The steak is so small on the steak and eggs and it was tough. The grits were bland and the Cajun pasta was salty. Our waitress tried to gain an additional tip on top of the 85 dollars she didn't earn. We waited an hour before she came to our table and then she had the nastiest demeanor with us. The restaurant itself was gorgeous and a wonderful atmosphere. read more

I came here to grab dinner after walking around the mall to find my wife a gift. I grabbed a seat at the bar and was greeted by the bartender. I ordered a half rack of pork ribs with cornbread and a side Caesar salad. The portions of the salad and the half rack were perfect. The salad was overdressed, but it was good. The ribs were a bit underwhelming as they were dry. The cornbread was good, especially when you lather it with the honey butter it comes with. Overall, it was good. The bartender was very attentive and friendly without being intrusive. read more

Came during the Dine Out Fort Lauderdale promotion and it was definitely a deal. We even got there during happy hour and I got their patio pounder lemonade. Great for those who love watermelon on a hot day like it was. Speaking of that, unfortunately it was rather hot in the restaurant. My bf got their zero proof dragon fruit mojito and it was divine! Best part were the free refills because I think we had about 4 total it was so refreshing. We got their $35 lunch that includes 2 courses each. I tried their crab & avocado tower as my appetizer with the bistro burger for my meal. My bf ordered the 3 mini burgers to start and the 10 inch pepperoni pizza as his meal. The mini burgers come with what's gotta be a pound of crispy onion rings on top. Totally unexpected but they are perfectly seasoned & crispy, making for a great snack. Everything came out delicious, I love the crab & avocado tower. We had enough for leftovers for sure. It was our first time coming here even though it's actually not too far from us so we'll for sure have to come back. read more

Food was beyond mediocre. It reminded me of cafeteria food. Service was nice. Atmosphere isn't bad and the price is adorable but the food was not great, at all! read more

Too much misinformation for brunch and the host and waiter was not accurate on what they know far as brunch. I would not recommend this place for a large group of guests. We try doing reservations for 10 and still can't be seated because it was 10 people according to the host. Unorganized and unprofessional for a restaurant. read more

Hands-down, the brunch special cannot be beat. We got so much food for only $50! There was an unlimited amount of pizza, chicken wings, desserts, tacos, and waffles. I don't know what more to say other than, "hurry up and get here!" DJ was really good and the ambience was also great. I will definitely revisit this place when I'm in town. read more

Deja was our waitress and she was amazing and attentive. I've seen complaints about how slow the service was but everything came out right on time for me. She made all my drinks on point and I left out feeling a little buzzed. We came on a Saturday our reservation was at 12:45 the atmosphere was nice and it wasn't crowded. I would come back again but probably wouldn't do the all you can eat because personally I don't eat this much on a regular. Keep in mind the all you can eat is shareable. But listen when I say the friggin French toast was THEE BEST I've ever tasted and I'm a French toast enthusiast (lol). The only thing you may not notice is that the bottomless drinks they charge a dollar for refills. read more

The service was very slow and we saw our waitress standing in the kitchen while our food was ready. She just didn't bring it out to us. The spinach artichoke dip was very tasty but small serving size. However the cilantro lime chicken salad was amazing, with a variety of flavors and refreshing feel. I would come back just to get that alone. The restaurant itself was very large but pretty empty and while there were many servers only a few were actually helping. The table ledges had cute Christmas decor which gave the ambiance a festive feel. read more

Delicious pizza, friendly staff, and a convenient location at Sawgrass Mall. Shopping and dining here is easy.

After shopping we decided to grab some food. I've been to sawgrass mills a thousand times but never dined at Matchbox, so I decided to try it. Even though it was a Friday night at 8pm, we were were seated right away. Appetizers: we got a side Caesar salad as well as the Buffalo wings. The wings were great but the salad was not. It lacked enough salad dressing and the little that was on it was watered down. Entree: I got the fettuccine alfredo which normally comes with chicken and mushrooms. I wanted neither of those in my pasta dish so I requested the mushrooms be removed and to replace the chicken with shrimp. The pasta was good, I would order it again. My husband ordered the Creole Short Ribs which was one of the specials that night. He enjoyed his meal as well. The entrees did take a very long time to arrive which was the only downside. read more

Well, sadly we never had the opportunity to dine here, or taste the fare. It was a Sunday. Unbeknownst to us, the $49 LIMITED Brunch runs from 9 am - 4 pm and usuros all COMMON SENSE at the host's station (for the first half of this Sunday) -- or was it just the Sunday we tried to dine there??? Matchbox eatery, how do you allow customers, (especially first-time customers) to wait when you have open tables "reserved," even near the bar??? We are here WAITING! C'mon. So we requested a booth and waited about 25 mins but decided to grab just any table. Oh no, not possible because those nice big beautiful tables that are sitting empty are actually reserved for customers nowhere in sight. This is a two-story establishment and on the second floor? Same story--nope, not possible for us to be seated here either. Our only hope for searing was outside on the patio with the sun pelting down. We chose not to go that route. During the hour-and-a-half long wait, my spouse and I walked the outdoor stores (very hot that day) then headed back in time to be seated, that is before Matchbox staff texted us. Finally, we were seated only to be told that no menu other than their limited BRUNCH would be available... its now roughly 3 pm. WOW!!!!! REALLLY????? YOU MADE US WAIT THIS LONG TO TELL US WE HAD TO HAVE BRUNCH! WHY THE HECK DIDN'T YOU SAY THIS WHEN WE WERE FIRST HERE? CHEERS TO INSANITY!!!!! read more

Absolutely LOVE this place! Definitely will be coming back for more. Our server Enrique was amazing very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. He made sure we had a wonderful experience read more

Served cold food multiple times, not impressed and won't return. Sparse service with an IDGAF attitude

Matchbox has an excellent happy hour, which is available at the bar and all outside bar tables from 4-7. The guacamole on the happy hour menu was delicious with a bit of tajin on top; we also really enjoyed the potstickers. I ordered the mini burgers, which ended up being my "entree." They were good not great--for the price though, you really can't beat the food on this happy hour menu. read more

Haley was great, food was excellent. Double burger was lit. Will be back for another round sometime soon.

12-22-22 Noon reservation on Open Table Came here before the Christmas holidays to take my temp that has been working with me for a nice lunch. Since it is located at the Sawgrass Mall and it is the holidays as well as season I planned accordingly and came early and parked in the parking garage and walked over. Once inside it was everything you would want in a restaurant very open in design and warm and inviting. We were lead to a booth and the place wasn't too busy crazy busy yet which was nice. After reviewing the menu we decided on salads and pizza. My salad was delicious and a perfect size as was the pizza. We had leftovers so we took them back to the office. Definitely would come back soon as this is the kind of place that feels upscale as well as a welcomed retreat if only just for a short while. The staff were amazing. Note as always I get too excited and forgot to take a photo of the Margarita pizza. read more

This place is unbelievable. Great atmosphere grade 5S really great food. We love coming here on the weekend and have a great time.

Food and prices are great.. the owner very welcoming.. I wish they have more employees helping. It takes a very long time to get served..

The food was good, I ordered fish and chips and a non-alcoholic dragonfruit mojito. The entree was fresh and crispy, but I wouldn't order it again. Drink was 10/10! I'd definitely come back to try something else! read more

They take advantage of people including tips to the bills after clients said will paid cash I got that experience there. I felt like they took my money with out my consent because I was tipping twice just because they decided and wasn't nice to me. Also, they charged to me$24.00 by some hornitos that I never ordered. Please people be carefully when you use your cards. read more

Not my first time at Matchbox. Located on the outside of the mall on the Colonnade adjacent from Seasons 52. Matchbox is your American styled good with menu that's to complicated. Last night we got a pizza, wings, dynamite shrimp and some different cocktails. We got the fire and smoke pizza, it was pretty good but be warned the description is right as it is spicy and will kick in after your first bite or two. The hostess at the front was pretty rude and handed us the menus and told us we can sit at the bar as it's first come first serve. No issues with the first come first serve but the hostess needed to be a little more courteous as we watched her carry on like that with several other groups. read more

Had dinner tonight with my son on the patio. The server was very nice. The draft beer offering was good. Seemed like $7.75 for a draft beer was high. I enjoyed the blackened chicken breast with kale very much. Salad included chopped avocados grape tomatoes and shredded carrots. Also had cooked faroe which helped make the dish. My son enjoyed his beer and had the salmon entree which he raved about. read more

Extremely mediocre brunch experience. Very loud music, weak cocktails, and average food - - except perhaps the chicken and waffles that was decent. Service was nice. Brutal to park in mall too! read more

Unsure how this restaurant has 4 stars. Not a ton of options. The service took forever! Others who ordered around us got their food before us. Restaurant is nice in appearance but bathrooms were not very clean. The best thing was the bread appetizer with a little marinara sauce and "garlic butter" but the butter was sweet and delicious. Got the sausage ragu pasta but the meat tasted weird and burnt. The children's cheese pizza, we've had better pizza. The ribs tasted like wet dog. They barely came with sauce and the sauce wasn't that great either. read more

Would have given 5 stars, but I'm a bit confused about the pricing -- the "bottomless drinks" are listed as $25, but then there's a $1 charge for every refill? That doesn't really make sense for something that's supposed to be unlimited. Aside from that, the food was really good and the music made for a great atmosphere! read more
