I love this restaurant at the Sawgrass Mills outlet! It's at the end of the shopping center so it's kinda private. I brought my dogs here and it was ample seating outdoor so they didn't bother anyone or got in the way. The server was super nice. I loved my margaritas and we enjoyed our meals. Will definitely be back! read more

Went for lunch today with our girls and we ended up at matchbox. The restaurant is big, open, and clean. The server we had was wonderful and I wish I could have remembered his name. They seemed to be short staffed but he was making the best of it. I had the grilled chicken avocado sandwich and o thought it was delicious and juicy. My husband had the crispy chicken sandwich with Nashville hot sauce and he also loved it. The kids had the sliders and that was good. They brought fried onion strings that were delicious. They weren't greasy at all and were totally addicting. Would go back. read more

Made reservations for new years eve at 615pm. This is because we have plans for 8pm. It's 643 pm now and we have just been sat and no servers have said a word to us. The table of 4 next to us just exploded because they've been sat for 30 minutes with no service . I ordered an old fashioned at the bar while we waited came in a mule cup. read more

My family and I decided to eat dinner here after seeing it a few times in the past while shopping at the mall. This place shocks you when you first walk in because it's extremely spacious in the inside. The interesting thing about the restaurant's setup is that the back kitchen area is observable from the dining area. It's pretty cool seeing the kitchen staff do their magic. When we arrived we were greeted and immediately seated at a table. Our waitress was great the entire night and she was extremely friendly. The dinner started off with an order of fried Calamari as an appetizer. Usually, when I order Calamari at other resturants I'm always a little disappointed but this time it was definitely a hit! My mom and I ended up ordering the crispy half chicken meal, my sister got the crispy hicken sandwich and my father the 12 oz steak. I wasn't exactly impressed with my meal and neither was my mom. We both agreed the chicken may have been a bit dry. However, despite that it still was very flavorful. The size of the chicken though made it worth the price. We finished off with an order from the dessert menu: the classic. It consists of two chocolate brownies, vanilla ice cream and a caramel drizzle. Immediately devoured and totally worth it. Overall, it was nice to try a new place for dinner. However, I feel as though some things may be a bit mispriced. Additionally, if I ever have dinner here another time, I'd definitely try to order a different entree and give this place another chance! read more

First time visitor, it wasn't packed when we got there and considering the location, we were prepared to wait. We were seated promptly since it wasn't busy. Food was pretty decent. I would go back again to try other dishes. The star of the night was the fried half chicken. It was crispy, flavorful. The ribs were just ok. The fries were very good too. read more

Honestly, who doesn't love Matchbox? Like, it's the perfect blend of nostalgia and amazing eats.

the food was overall very good. staff was very attentive. pizza was hot and fresh. salmon salad was flavorful.

My husband and I came here this weekend. Matchbox is probably the only restaurant in Sawgrass that we haven't yet been to. Matchbox is right next to Seasons 52, pretty impossible to miss at night, brightly lit in front of the Colonnade outlets. We definitely enjoyed the food here, I had the half chicken with potatoes and my husband had the ribs. I was hoping that the chicken was rotisserie as some of the Yelp photos shown but it wasn't. Apparently there are a ton of items that are no longer on the menu, which was disappointing. They no longer serve mashed potatoes, rotisserie half chicken, and many of the other items that they use to have. The service wasn't that great. Although our waitress was very nice, the service was extremely slow even for a Saturday night. We loved the restaurant atmosphere here, we both agreed that Matchbox reminded us a whole lot of Max Brenner, Nyc (one of our favorite restaurants) with two floors and the industrial design. The second floor here was unfortunately closed off so we weren't able to check out upstairs. Ultimately, we both liked the food and the design of the restaurant but we do wish that the menu was a bit more expansive, having more options to choose from. Very nice restaurant, would definitely come back. read more

Loved Matchbox! We had a nice waiter, the food was great and as a first time diner they gave us garlic cheese bread with marinara sauce and it was delicious! read more

Great hospitality! Amazing food and excellent drinks! Our bartender Halee was exceptional! Highly recommend!

I walked in the door at 4:39pm on a Sunday and the place was empty. Nobody waiting to be seated. I was asked if I had a reservation and I said no. I was told it's a 2hr wait because brunch had the kitchen backed up. I turned around and walked out the door. I will not be back. You are telling customers to leave. Terrible business. read more

I went back to Matchbox Pizza today and was very impressed. The margherita pizza was delicious. I love the sauce so much. It came out hot, which I requested of our server. This makes a huge difference. Service was great and I even ordered a Cosmo which was made just right. It was very well balanced. I do not usually order alcohol, but have been craving a Cosmo so decided to indulge. I had a couple of the mini burgers and they were very tasty. We ordered the six pack. They are truly mini. They are fun to munch on while chatting away. Great appetizer. My friend ordered the half chicken and she really liked it with asparagus. I did not try it, but it looked like it would be delicious. It smelled great and I might order it next time I come. I would recommend making sure they bring your pizza hot because it really does make a big difference in the taste...for me at least. read more

Halle was fantastic and salads were yummy! Would recommend the next time you're in Sunrise

10 out 10. Food was amazing, service was excellent, drinks tasty. First time but will visit again very soon.

Have not been to this restaurant in a while, but I must say, it was good to visit again. Matthew was amazing. I am a stickler for customer service and he exceeded my expectations. He brought everything we needed to the table when we arrived, the napkins, wet wipes, plates and water. His cocktail recommendations were on point. Matthew was very attentive and pleasant. Matthew is a stellar employee and is deserving of this rave review. Keep up the great work, Matthew. read more

What lured us in was the Smokey smell emanating the entire outdoor shopping area, to the point where it was impossible not to go in, despite my own plan of taking advantage of being in sunrise and having some ikea meatballs. Needless to say, smell beats memory, and ikea meatballs did not happen. On a Monday around noon they were not busy (to my joy) and it was a very peaceful lunch in a booth on their outdoor patio. It is spacious and airy, both indoors and outdoors at this restaurant, and as a designer, I was very impressed with the ambiance, as my guest lamented the lack of places in palm beach county that are similar to matchbox. I actually found that interesting since she lives in boca and boca has everything. Also what's cool to note is while there are fans and probably stays nice and cool on warm days, there are also heaters mounted overhead, which likely keeps it comfortable out there on cooler evenings too. Super upscale aesthetic. The pizza and wings we ordered were delicious, but very small. The jumbo wings, are regular sized wings, and in my opinion, run on the smaller side where wings are concerned. The flavors were tasty, but as far as value goes, it's pricey. I also had a frozen pina colada, small size, which came in a pint glass and was $9. I was happy with it. Especially for it being my first real drink post pregnancy, yay! The person I was with, loved everything about this place and she's a picky boca transplant from nyc. I enjoyed it, but the lowbrow side of me enjoy somewhere with drink specials, that encourage the consumption of more than one beverage. But it's worth trying out if you're okay spending at least a hundred bucks for two people. read more

The Sawgrass location is absolutely horrible. A reservation was made that wasn't honored. Then we decided to sit at the bar which ended up being an even bigger mistake due to 20 minutes without acknowledgment. Finally once acknowledged the waitress came off curt. Ultimately we chose peace and quietly exited that horrendous place. read more

I had some guests in from out of town and we decided to check out Matchbox at Sawgrass for brunch. The restaurant is very spacious, comfortable and plenty of indoor and outdoor tables. The host staff and server staff were extremely friendly, efficient and helpful. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. Our server was amazing and kept our bottomless mimosas flowing. She took our orders and brought out our meals when they were ready. Some of the meals took an extremely long period of time to come out but she kept checking for us and even had the manager come out to speak with us but when the food finally came it was pretty good. I'm certain the delay wasn't a regular service issue and I'll be back another weekend to give it another go. Something to keep in mind when visiting is that parking can be a huge pain so try to arrive earlier. You may luck out and get a spot close by the restaurant. read more

Shop til you drop! Literally. After a long afternoon of shopping with my family, we tried Matchbox for a first time. As I frequent Sawgrass Mills often, I wish I came to try this restaurant sooner! The service, the food, and the location are great. I had smoke and fire pizza which was spicy like some of the reviews mentioned on Yelp. But it was not unbearable and very flavorful. My sister had the french toast and I took a bite of her plate and it was really tasty. This is definitely a place to check out if you are at the mall of if you arent! I will be back again. Probably in a few weeks! read more

Holy Cow, can't believe I didn't write a review for here. Perhaps I was struck with a delicious food coma and just blacked out?!? So, winner winner Sawgrass dinner. Ya'll we have never been here before and we decided to pop in based on reviews - and per usual Yelp peeps did not disappoint. We were greeted and seated right away. We were in a booth towards the middle area of the restaurant. The seating options are totally varied, booths, high-tops, tables, outdoor patio, indoor bar. I mean...you want a type of seating arrangement, they got it. We ordered the sliders with onion rings, and it was magical. I mean just look at that picture! There's more onion rings than sliders! Win. They were crispy and delicious, as were the sliders. The wine selection was great, definitely try the sauvignon blanc if you like that kinda thing. Also, get the chocolate dessert. I cannot remember the name, but it's chocolate cake with ice cream, shouldn't be too hard to spot! Overall: A++ We will definitely be back when in the area and hard core petitioning that they open in Orlando! read more

Stopped in for a bite for lunch before I did some bday shopping. I had the crab cake with a side salad which I was up charged for the side salad instead of getting fries but what ever it was my birthday week. The crab cake was ok. It had some shells in it which was kinda EW but I can't say it was the first time I had shell in my crab cake. The bar tender was nice and everything was pretty standard. Nothing to rave about. read more

I love sitting outside! Especially when the weather is really nice. We went in Sunday and they do have a Dj that plays music. If you do sit outside you can bring your dogs from what I've seen. We had the Mini Burgers with the onions on top and we were full with that. The apple and pear salad was very refreshing and it was my first time having it. I always recommend making a reservation due to it being Sunday and everyone likes to brunch. read more

It's the holiday season! And our company decided to treat us for a Christmas dinner here at Matchbox. We made reservations over the phone for a party of 16 and they were extremely accommodating and made sure we were taken care of immediately. Upon arrival the staff was very friendly and they had prepared our table in a private area out back. Upon sitting down the team had a great time chatting back and forth as 2 waiters seamlessly took our orders in between and brought out every dish exceptionally. I ended up ordering the sliders with onion strings to share and it was absolutely delicious. The mini burger were packed with flavor and the shoe string onion was the perfect addition and honestly needs to be in every burger I order moving forward lol The only small issue we had was one of the drinks we ordered came with a fly inside, but that immediately got corrected as soon as we alerted our waiter. Overall we had a great time and everything else we ordered was good and came out in a timely manner. Will definitely try it out again with the fam. - The Fashionable Foodie read more

We had the wings, crab soup, Prosciutto and fig pizza, steak and eggs AND dessert. And every single thing was banging! Now... they did run out f grits and I really wanted the shrimp and grits... best brunch ever!!! Tavaris was the best server !!!!! the food came out quick!!! and the drinks were the besttttt

Brunch is basically a buffet... the food is always cold.... The strawberry lemon drop is definitely off brand water and juice combo ... the expresso martini was water milk and three coffee beans . And at one point my drink came out with a cucumber in it that looked like someone bit it and it fell in my drink disgusting not to mention my cup was dirty. I wouldn't come back it not sanitary nor was it an experience I need again. 0/10 stars read more
