I'm usually not a fan of food courts, however I had a random craving for good old bourbon chicken, orange chicken, sesame chicken, and noodles. The kind that's in a foam box and stuffed to the top! I have childhood memories of shopping with my mom and stopping here when we needed to refuel and eat some lunch. I wanted to relive the days and I'm glad I did! Nothing had changed and it was the exact same place. Crispy battered orange chicken and extra noodles just the way I like it, drizzled with chili oil and drenched in bourbon sauce. Staff are always quick with stuffing the containers and it seems like their constantly refilling the options. Definitely was not the healthiest meal choice but it satisfied the craving. Ambiance is meh. Always super crowded and hard to find a table at Dulles Mall. But it's a food court so I never have high expectations. I always bring my own hand sanitizer and Clorox to go wipes to feel extra clean, especially during this time of year. I don't usually write reviews but this one was necessary! I went to this place yesterday for lunch and I was so so unhappy with the level of customer service I received yesterday. The so called manager acted as if he wanted to physically fight me because I asked them for a refund for the food I ordered. I took one bite of the General Tso's chicken and immediately felt sick. That food tasted nasty and the chicken tasted like gummy bears. I explained to the manager and he responded "what do you mean nasty", he said you took a bite and you can't just ask for a refund. I explained to him that if he didn't return my money I would call the police. He quickly gave me my money and made sure to tell me "never to come back". What a sick MF he is. Afterwards, I walked over to the cheesesteak vendor and the manager was still starring at me from across the food court. He was so anal about $11 it was completely unbelievable. It was obvious that I must have been the only revenue the establishment received for the month. If I want mystery meat, I'll go grab some road kill off route 7 and whip something up. I advise anyone considering eating at this place to "DONT"!!!! I thought it was strange of him to be so nice offering me great advice before I left by telling me never to come back! Don't do it! This place doesn't even deserve a star. I think that Yelp needs to come up with a way to give negative (not just one star) marks... Master Wok deserves a huge flashing " stay away!!!" Today I was walking around the mall and decided I would grab some lunch to go. I walked past all the restaurants in the food court and decided Master Wok looked good because I hadn't had Chinese food in a long time. I was going to get the orange chicken, but was offered a sample of the bourbon chicken. I'm so glad I tried it because that's what i ended up ordering! I grew up in California where they had a restaurant in the mall near my childhood home called Hawaiian Express and their chicken tastes IDENTICAL to this! It brought back so many happy memories! The chicken is moist, tender and has a slightly salty/sweet taste, almost like teriyaki. I also got a side of lo mien and a spring roll, both very good as well. The staff was very friendly and I was given a stamp card without having to ask, which was nice. I was also impressed that their station was very clean and all the food was presented well and didn't look old like some of these food court restaurants do. The Bourbon Chicken especially is absolutely heavenly. If youre thinking you can get P.F.Chiangs quality for mall spot prices then youre going to be disappointed... but if you want delicious flavor for mall spot prices and dont mind inspecting before every bite, then this place takes the cake. 5 star flavors + 0 star quality = 4 stars overall... right?!? By far the worst Chinese food you could buy. Looks like any mall Chinese restaurant but once you taste it you realize what a mistake you made. There is no taste to anything, even the spicy dishes have no flavor or heat. Everything is so dried out you can barely eat it. All the sauces are no longer sauce, just a dry sticky residue as a reminder of what was once on there. They don't even have sweet and sour sauce.
