I'd tried Poulet Rouge a couple of times before at other locations, and was happy to know that…read morethey'd opened up in Hillcrest too. It's great to see such a healthy food option in the food court, with generous serving sizes and reasonable prices. We were actually deciding between A&W and Poulet Rouge, when the lady working at the counter lured us with free samples. I'd been curious how spicy the spicy option was, and was able to sample that (it's a reasonable kick -- won't leave you sweating, but plenty of heat), which was great! It really helped us decide to buy bowls here, instead of going for a burger. The store is takeout only, and the display is clean and bright. We bought 1 x 1 flavour rouge bowl, and 1 x 2 flavour rouge bowl. I loved their less-common base and topping options like bulgar, dried cranberries, pineapple, and beets. It's also nice that the toppings are chopped up into smaller sizes, so that each fork/spoonful can be loaded without stuff awkwardly escaping.

Poulet Rouge has done it again Specifically Richmond Hill…read morelocation This is about the 3rd or 4th visit since my inaugural visit a couple of months ago. And This time I tried the PR poutine bowl as a base. It comes with only 3 choice of toppings but it is beyond delicious. And The service provided was again phenomenal. The cashier was an older male and he was definitely at least the manager or by my guess he was the owner. His service was excellent. Made me feel welcomed And For this and the food I will be back for more great things at Poulet Rouge.

For those who don't know fried chicken and potatoes in all shapes and sizes are my kryptonite…read more Frankies hit all the spots for me! The curly fries caught my attention since I usually have to drive 1.5 hours all the way to Arby's for curly fries. Frankies blew my mind! I ordered it two days straight just so I can try the sandwich and then the tenders on its own. For the sandwich I ordered Nashville hot which was meh... I found the Popeyes sandwich to actually be better but the tenders on its own MY MY MY YUMMMMMMM. Especially the dips they have to offer Frankies signature dip, honey dill, and ranch. I HAD THEM ALL ! The winner is definitely honey dill! For the tenders I got HOT AF and to me it was just right. Nothing killer spicy, it was more of a sweet heat with a very pleasant kick to it..... Frankies you have stole my heart and I am going to be a forever customer for as long as you're open! Btw the curly fries are better than Arby's!

Wow. Just wow. These were one of the best chicken sandwiches I have eaten in the GTA (and I have…read moreeaten plenty of chicken sandwiches). I took advantage of the BOGO deal on Uber Eats and bought 2 Chicken Sandwiches ($8.95) and 2 sides of curly fries ($3.99). The chicken sandwiches were DELICIOUS. I got the Nashville Hot option (Choose between No Sauce (Ho Hum), Nashville Hot or Hot AF) and it was the perfect amount of heat. The sandwich itself is made up of 3 chicken tenders rather than one giant piece of chicken (which I kind of liked!). The curly fries were a little soggy because we got it to go but I'm sure if I ate them fresh in the restaurant, they would be hot and fresh. The fries also had some sort of flavouring on them, I think it might be cajun, which I loved! I will definitely buy these sandwiches again or even just the tenders themselves because they were SO good. Side note about the location: Frankie's Hot Chicken is located inside the Lone Star Texas Grill (which I didn't know so I circled around the plaza about 10 times before realizing it was inside Lone Star)

It was very soft and not too spicy. Kids liked the Spam daebop and the spicy pork cupbop. Found the beef soy one a bit too sweet. We were all super full after. Wanted to try the Hwachae but it's only a summer item. Amazing overall and look forward to come back in the summer to try the Hwachae

Location/Service This place is right in the intersection of…read moreBayview/Major Mac, but it is in a smaller plaza right across the high school. It is a little tricky to access the plaza, but there is actually plenty of parking behind the store front that no one never realizes. Inside is pretty big, a lot of tables available to dine-in. You can have it to-go as well, which I seem to see it's like that most of the time. The owner, Peter, is a very nice guy. He explains all the items very clearly, provides good recommendation and makes sure you feel welcomed and enjoys the food. Food This place specializes cupbop - which actually is a classic staple street style food in Korean. It's kind of like a bibimbap, something you add together and mix it up. But cupbop usually also have macaroni salad, stir fried kimchi and a choice of protein like spam, pork, beef. It is a very hearty bowl, definitely good portion size and filling. And it's only $12.99 - that's pretty affordable in this current economy. Besides cupbop, they have street style Korean snacks like their toast, skewers and I think they started doing tteokbokki too. Honestly, this is a small business that deserves more recognition and it is very convenient for kids across the school and anybody in the neighbourhood.
