Ordered BBQ wings and got regular wings with no BBQ sauce on it. That was fine, but while we were eating the wings there was ACTUAL FURChicken Wings on one of them which was disgusting. On top of that, when we went to go get the order we saw them throw it all in a microwave and put it in the bag. Lastly, when we got there they extended the pick up time to later, when we walked in the order was already done and they still made us wait to get it and it wasn't even busy the employees were just talking. Wow.. where do I simply begin... It was a night like no other, I was quite famished after a long day of being on the grind nonstop, so as anyone would, I decided to order takeout! But I made one fatal decision that night, and that was ordering from Chicken Kitchen. If I would go back in time I would want to save myself from the nightmarish meal that I would be consuming 20 minutes later... I had ordered their Loaded Chicken Bowl, and god, was it loaded with a whole lotta nonsense. When I received the meal I was impressed with the aesthetic visuals, if only it tasted the same. The sauce tasted like spicy plastic and was waaay too overbearing, as if the sauce was the main character and not the chicken. The chicken was dry, probably raw, and extremely chewy. It as if one chicken piece had the weight of 10,000 men because every bite had me feeling full and NOT in a feel-good way. Once the meal was finished I felt the most god-awful, earth-shaking, thunder-striking, volcano-erupting, toe-curling, eye-squeezing feeling occuring in my stomach. That meal was not going to let me rest even after I have dealt with it. I threw up. :( I couldn't even rest AS I was throwing up, my throat was convulsing, and it tasted like the spicy plastic sauce, there were tears welling up in my eyes and threatening to spill over. I fell to my knees in defeat. The chicken beat me. It conquered me. It won. If Loaded Chicken Bowl was in Mean Girls, she would have her own page spread in the burn book. They are located inside the supermarket Skyland Supermarket, tucked near the right side upon entrance along with other fast food stalls. My significant other and I was craving Fried Chicken, as always. and we saw the amazing deals they have to offer. They offer daily deals as do most halal chicken restaurants do. We got the 8 piece combo, which we had a choice of sides, we opted for the Cajun fries, along with 4 biscuits. Drinks are not included. So I know the menu signs and deals are overwhelming... my favorite items here are the popcorn chicken ($3.99) and the chicken sandwich (reg $4.29, special on wed. $3.59!). The fries are also decent, I'm not a fan of the tenders or chicken pieces. Service is great and there is a small eating area in the grocery store. Anytime I'm craving fried chicken I come here because it's fresh and I'm sick of Popeyes overpriced items and horrendous service. My wife brought home Chicken Kitchen 2 weeks ago and it was really good. Second visit today and they have some great daily specials to keep an eye out for. Pretty low key spot but a great find. They are located inside the expanded Skyland Supermarket in the prepared foods area between the hot table and bakery. Great fried chicken they do here. Nice crunchy coating which isn't too thick. The chicken is very moist and pieces are very large. Great value here. They serve halal meat and offer free delivery. You can also order through Uber Eats. Chicken Kitchen has now replaced Popeye's as our go to chicken place. Highly recommend it if you're in the area. read more

But the fries I ordered where not crispy, flaccid and at room temperature even after waiting for 20 minutes for my order. The burger was delightful according to my 13-year old son. The popcorn chicken was not piping hot as advertised (freshly fried). The chicken wings WERE fresh, crispy and piping hot and were worth the wait. I will go back for the wings for sure. Unless they do the fries when ordered and don't serve fries sitting under heat lamps.... you can live without ordering them. Customer service was alright. They also have the option of spicy and mild for full chicken pieces (i.e. instead of nuggets and fingers) And yes, unfortunately everything will be compared to Popeyes: The texture was just like Popeyes, perhaps a lil crunchier It was tasty but unfortunately not as tasty as Popeyes, in my humble opinion. The price we paid was $24 after tax for 12 pieces (Popeyes is about $29) Its pretty much as juicy as Popeyes. My chicken thigh had a few fatty deposits that I had to take out....guess my chicken wasn't motivated to do her morning walk around the chicken coop much. I love in the west end of Toronto, and this place is in deep Scarborough. I go here because its worth it regardless of the 2 hour commute. I get the chicken sandwich. I love it so much, its better than chick-fil-a. I would try to compare it to popeye's but they don't have it here in Canada. Luckily they have chicken kitchen. Set in the Skyland Food Mart, this unassuming food court style spot serves up chicken and seafood as its name implies. I was in the mood for a fried chicken sandwich and thoughts of making a mission to Chick Fil A. I settled on Chicken Kitchen after some fellow yelpers reviews. I ordered the spicy combo, onions rings and a pop. Chicken was okay nothing to dream about. Too much spicy mayo and not enough serviettes. If you are in the business of serving food that will be primarily consumed with hands, don't be stingy with the napkins. I should have made the mission to Chick Fil A, I didn't finish the sandwich, am wholly dissatisfied, and will not be returning. we went there on a Saturday evening and waited 45 minutes for our order, no chairs or anywhere to sit while you wait. When we got home the gravy and macaroni was ice cold, while waiting for our food another customer was bringing back 3 chicken sandwiches that were ice cold and demanded his money back. This place is delicious, every single time. Located in skyland supermarket. The spicy chicken sandwich is my favourite, but you literally can't go wrong with any of the options they offer. The fried chicken is well seasoned, crispy & cooked perfectly. The batter is yummy & not too thick - whether it's individual pieces of chicken or deboned fillets in their bomb sandwich, this chicken is everything you want fried chicken to be. AND daily specials for like 3.99 & ting. So good I don't even care about paying the normal full price, these people are so friendly & nice that I'm more than happy to support this business. The Sheppard location has a really bad customer service, we waited for 20 minutes for our chicken, when we asked the cashier she politely said to wait a few more minutes, she then told back workers that they've been waiting for 20 minutes, one of the guys name was Mohsin, he started swearing in Gujarati to us, we told him we understand and what he's saying, he just looked and said "I don't care". Their chicken tenders and chicken wrap are DELICIOUS. And the price isn't too bad since halal meat tends to run pretty expensive. I don't recommend their burgers as the bread isn't very good. The dipping sauces they give are nothing special, just prepackaged ones. For the price it's great food; service is very quick and the employees are nice. For good quality fried chicken I always recommend Cluck Clucks, but Chicken Kitchen is a good Scarborough spot! read more
