8 piece chicken combo (minus drink) $25.18!

4.5 CHEAP CHICKEN DEAL! If you ever find yourself in the Scarborough area, specifically in this corner of the city (Lawrence and Markham Rd.) go and check this Chicken stall out. They are located inside the supermarket Skyland Supermarket, tucked near the right side upon entrance along with other fast food stalls. My significant other and I was craving Fried Chicken, as always. and we saw the amazing deals they have to offer. They offer daily deals as do most halal chicken restaurants do. We got the 8 piece combo, which we had a choice of sides, we opted for the Cajun fries, along with 4 biscuits. Drinks are not included. Pros: - CRISPY chicken, thick fried part, which I always love - Chicken pieces are pretty big - Moist chicken on the inside - LOTS of fries - Biscuits included - price is on point, costed us $25.18 after tax for all that Cons: - Fries are a little too soft/soggy - Cajun flavour isn't too strong - Biscuits in my opinion were baked for too long - tasted a little hard Perhaps we got a bad day, since it was so popular, with waiting area and line up, but it was definitely worth the price.

Why is this place low-key the new and improved Popeyes?! So I know the menu signs and deals are overwhelming... my favorite items here are the popcorn chicken ($3.99) and the chicken sandwich (reg $4.29, special on wed. $3.59!). The fries are also decent, I'm not a fan of the tenders or chicken pieces. Service is great and there is a small eating area in the grocery store. Anytime I'm craving fried chicken I come here because it's fresh and I'm sick of Popeyes overpriced items and horrendous service. This place isn't fancy but definitely worth the mission for their mouth-watering chicken!!!

My wife brought home Chicken Kitchen 2 weeks ago and it was really good. Second visit today and they have some great daily specials to keep an eye out for. Pretty low key spot but a great find. They are located inside the expanded Skyland Supermarket in the prepared foods area between the hot table and bakery. Great fried chicken they do here. Nice crunchy coating which isn't too thick. The chicken is very moist and pieces are very large. Great value here. They serve halal meat and offer free delivery. You can also order through Uber Eats. Chicken Kitchen has now replaced Popeye's as our go to chicken place. Highly recommend it if you're in the area.

We raved about our mutual love for all things wings (especially flats), and he suggested this place. He's a local, born and raised in Toronto, so I figured his opinion on the best wings had to be accurate. And boy was I right!!! Appropriately named, Crave Wings unlocked the key to my heart with the first bite! As I take a gulp-sized swallow to avoid drooling at the memory of the deliciousness I experienced here. Both the wings and fries were phenomenally yummy! I decided to dine inside because I wanted to experience everything fresh and hot! By the time I was finished, there was nothing left except bones and the container they came in. I look forward to going back, again and again. And AGAIN!!

I personally love dry rubs when it comes to wings. - Garlic Cajun: flavourful and crispy - Salt & Pepper: ordinary, nothing special - Kansas BBQ: tangy and slightly spicy Highly recommend Garlic Cajun and Kansas BBQ. Service was friendly despite they're always busy. They do takeouts mainly but there are about 20 seats for dine-in. On the left side of restaurant, you see a wall in yellow with their logo on. On the right side of the restaurant which is the table side, there are walls with different popular mangas, from One Piece to Naruto to Demon Slayer.

There is a half-price wing special on Tuesdays after 5pm and Sundays all-day (with the purchase of…read moreany drink). I like how you can try a different flavour with each pound of wings. When I went, there were 22 fried wing flavours and 4 baked flavours. I visited on a Sunday at around 5pm, and it was already bustling with customers and music. Saw from another review that the baked wings were good, so that definitely took up one of the pounds/flavours. For the two of us, we shared the 3 pounds deal ($23.5 +tax instead of $47): - two pounds fried (Dragon Breath, Honeycomb Heaven) - one pound baked (Bollywood) - carrots/celery - one dill sauce for each pound of wings I also got a pint of their Canadian sub-zero draft. It was splendid with a balanced amount of malt due to the cold temperature shielding the hops that would have otherwise turned me away. Some of the flavour names were questionable, lol, but I wouldn't have any better naming conventions either. Bollywood baked wings had tandoori spices and were marinated in yogurt. Dragon Breath was really just coated in a buffalo sauce rub, and Honeycomb Heaven was like honey garlic with a lot of honey and just a touch of garlic. The fried ones didn't have as much chicken nor the flavour of chicken on its own, and were kind of dense and dry. Still better wings than the chains I've tried though. Honeycomb heaven was just alright; something I would find as a go-to comfort zone pick. Dragon Breath was too spicy to enjoy, and I had to soak the wings in the side of dill sauce to remove the tangy heat - an amazing combination that maybe needs to come pre-dipped. Baked wings are meaty and fresh, just like how homemade oven-baked wings are, but the Bollywood marinate really blew me away. I believe my exacts words were "why get dry tandoori chicken when you could have fresh tandoori wings?" If they introduced more baked wing flavours, I'd choose the baked option for every single pound of wings I'll ever get. Now onto ambience. I didn't recognize the music which was good because it served as the perfect background noise to my wing munching trance. And it was lively and nostalgic enough that I felt like I become one of those locals in a diner in a small town that would visit weekly for a dose of wings. I liked that everyone was either eating or in conversation, and that the server left me alone to enjoy my food. In the end we counted the bones, and there were 21 wings. Around 7 wings per pound, it looked and tasted like like a lot more meat than if I had gotten the same quantity at St Louis. 3 pounds of wings + a pint came out to be ~$35 after tax. Very nice - I will be back.

We got the 50pc combo and it was enough to share between 5 people with some leftover. The price was pretty standard for the combo but seems to be expensive otherwise. The flavours we tried from most liked to least in my opinion: Mango habanero (spicy), Korean bbq, Lemon pepper, Honey garlic. The cajun fries and corn were also pretty good. The ranch definitely elevated everything as well. The main issue I had was with the chicken; the pieces were small with some that were very small. Overall the sauces were good but in general I'd say it's a bit over hyped.

Upon entering, the mix of greens, woods, and spacious seating was very inviting. However, the service was just decent. Now, let's talk about the food. I was disappointed with the size of the chicken wings compared to other places I've been to. The fries were okay but lacked a punch in flavour. As for the wings, I tried the BBQ bases, KBBQ, and Hickory Smoked BBQ. Despite being advertised with a bit of 'heat,' I could hardly taste any. The dipping sauce was also quite runny compared to the thicker consistency I prefer. Overall, I was a bit let down after all the hype on social media. Many say the U.S. locations are better. It doesn't hurt to try, but there are other wing places that I'd prefer.

A very strong, rich salted egg yolk flavour, with an extremely crispy breading. The seasoning reminded me so much of my favourite Irvin's salted egg yolk potato chips I get from Asian grocery stores. The chicken inside was juicy, opted for the bone-in chicken for both platters and it was definitely a good choice! Sweet as Platter for 1: Whenever I go to korean fried chicken spots I always have to get a sweet & spicy one as a benchmark! This one was pretty solid, good flavour and crispy. I ordered level 2/3 spice, next time I would pick 3 as it didn't have that much of a kick to me (I have a high spicey tolerance to be fair). Cheesy kimchi fried rice: 7.5/10 Great flavour, a bit on the greasy side though! Tempura shrimp: 8/10 Classic tempura, bouncy shrimp and fried well. This spot is halal, and sensory-friendly. They have a sensory room as well as sensory tools for those who need them. I also noticed that they had special ramadan deals going on. They also operate on a no tipping policy. I went on a Wednesday at 6PM, and while it wasn't too busy, I imagine that the place will fill up fast on weekends. This is one of my new favorite fried chicken spots, I'll be back for sure!

But to my surprise, the flavours just didn't hit the right spot and it was just either spicy or swet, nothing in between and definitely not balanced. We tried the sarang platter and there was definitely a lot of food that we split between 4 people and still couldn't manage to finish up. There were chicken, calamari - really bad and very chewy idk how they ended up serving full sized calamari, and chips in our platter and none of it really tasted good. Not even the chips lol. They also served dips with the food and interestingly all the dips were sweet... The place also looked very dull and dark inside which gave a very depressing vibe. Service was okay and they have a no tipping policy in place.
