Not the most glamourous photo of the POPEYE'S FAMOUS CLASSIC CHICKEN SANDWICH but a busy store meant my food got a little roughed up in the process (and that's okay, 'cause my tastebuds were happy!) I went at open time to avoid any possible line ups and the store was already bustling with orders from in-store customers as well as delivery orders. You can snatch this sandwich in a spicy version was well, but I opted for the MILD for my first taste test ($5.99 plus tax). The most impressive thing about this is its texture! The chicken patty itself is moist thanks for the buttermilk-coating while having very crispy and crunchy sides without any trail of grease. This sits on top of a soft and buttery brioche bun which I really liked as well. For more flavor, this sandwich has its own sauce and loads of pickles. Was it worth the hype? YES in my opinion as it met my expectations and I couldn't ask for anything more. The staff were quick efficient as my order took only about 5-10 minutes to be ready after ordering. Service was also friendly and they included condiments (Louisiana hot sauce and ketchup) with my order without even asking. I genuinely appreciate the accuracy of my order (i.e. they remembered to give me my extra sauces, and the correct ones, as this is usually a miss at other locations which aren't even half as busy). Update: I really want to applaud this location because I'm reading about other people's experience at other locations and theirs is nothing in comparison. Others have complained about their small sandwiches, lack of sauce, and lack of pickles but this was the complete opposite of what I got! I thought long and hard about whether to share this on Yelp as a reminder of the perils of capturing posts in the public. Last weekend, my family and I popped by this Popeyes for a quick meal pickup. It turned into a scary experience. I captured several photos of the restaurant store front & the busy interior. However I didn't initially notice there was a mentally ill man eating next to me. Presumably this is one of more affordable spots around. The man muttered at me with a homophobic slur in an upset manner even though my phone camera was never directed at him. Upon telling this man that I didn't appreciate his muttering, he pulled a large pocket knife to show his long blade and committed to charging towards me. That's when I realized the imminent danger and quickly exited the restaurant while no staff took no notice or action. Outside, I tried to de-escalate the situation at which point he went back inside. I was still worried for my family's safety and lingered near the entrance. Fortunately they exited with their order and we quickly drove away but I noticed the black man come out again. If the store is quiet, the chicken is soggy, steamy after pick up. So this is truly a hit or miss. Some of the deals they let you swap out (biscuits for Mac and cheese for example - but for 4 biscuits they give you a small mac and cheese, is it worth it?) Restaurant is fairly clean, it's a fast food store not a Michelin restaurant. Staff are typically pretty friendly every time I visit. Haven't had any issues with them - except when you give me a small Mac and cheese in exchange for 4 biscuits Anywho probably my wife and I's favorite location for Popeyes. Stay crispy. read more

Update: Came here on Thursday May 1, and ordered two Thursday 3 piece specials with a side of onion rings. Got my order, drove home to discover I was given chicken tender combo meal. Spent another 10 minutes driving back out. I was quite angry, but spoke with a really nice Asian (Kim I believe) at the cashier, which apologized for the mistake and quickly rectified it. While I understand that they were quite busy, and also I am not expecting white glove waiter service, I just want what I ordered. Which I did in the end, but the person handling the packing of the orders really should have kept all the receipts along with the order. Or taped the order to the bag to keep track. I noticed he would pack all the chicken orders up then start throwing them into bags. I even asked was this order #XYZ, which he said yes, but apparently not! I generally have a good experience here, I just hope they teach any of their new staff to include the order number WITH the order, and to not just pack it and throw away the receipt read more

Came to get take out. This is the one of the Popeyes that have taken extra precaution and safety measure due to covid19. The staff wears mask and gloves while working, and they have the plastic boards to separate customers and staff when ordering. Just feels safer as a customer to know the owner of this place cares. I have been to the other location ok Woodbine and Highway7 and was not like this. Food is also better at this location, not as salty as the other location. Great customer service! Mmm love Popeyes chicken! I really like this location! Also lots of stars because there's not a lot of staff turn over and the food is consistently made so you know what to expect. Location: Near my house :p Parking: Its a free lot. Can very rarely get really busy but there always seems to be a spot or two available! Decor: It's tiny there's limited seating buts mostly a take out spot anyway. There are some booths , a couple of tables and a counter with 2 or 3 seats It's very clean. The washroom is clean too and always stocked The Goods: The typical Popeyes Goods. Yup. Love the chicken with mashed potatoes and a biscuit. Wings are good! Staff: Everyone is nice. There's of course a turnover because it's fast food but people tend to stay here longer. The manager is nice too. One time I dropped my key fob under a car ( not mine) and he actually retrieved it for me! Reason for Visit: Looking for somewhere to eat on a Thursday late night after a movie. Menu: Honestly, I find the prices way too high for Popeyes except Tues/Thursday with their special. Their Thursday special is my favourite with 3 pieces (leg, thigh, wing) for $5.49 I believe. It is kind of weird how the wings in this combo comes with the drumstick portion but the wings special on sats don't. This is why I only consider Popeye's on Tues/Thurs. The quality at this location was very fresh and crispy! That is probably due to the large traffic in this location so they have to keep making it fresh even during later hours ~8pm-10pm. I do want to add that it is worth doing their survey at the end so you can quickly add on 1 piece, biscuit with purchase of a medium drink (~$2). Well worth it. Another pro tip is ask for take out, you always get more if you ask for take out as they put it in the boxes which are way bigger than the dine in trays/bags. Service: Nothing spectacular. Fast food restaurant quality service. Pretty much fight for your own supplies/sauces. Atmosphere: It is actually pretty chilly in the store. I don't know why they barely turn on the heat. Great customer service at this location. Very quick and attentive. Line ups move fast during the lunch hour. The restaurant is clean and pleasant. I had the Cajun chicken sandwich combo with the red bean and rice combo. I must say one of the best chicken breast sandwiches I've had in a long time. Quality of food is excellent. I am currently walking with a cane and when I told the Cashier that I would return for what I could not carry all at once she immediately offered to carry the balance to my vehicle. Been to this Popeyes a couple of times. I only get this when it becomes desperate times and you feel those horrible junk food cravings. This is just a regular Popeyes, nothing special. The location is not bad and there is a lot of parking usually. The + is that place is clean and gives a lot of seating; I've never seen the place packed so that you can't sit. It does get a little busier on Tuesdays though. ;) (that Tuesday special is gooood) I'm only giving it a lower rating because sometimes the employees are not the nicest and customer-orientated. Wasted my time after working all day from 7am until 9pm... I checked the website and it was the only one close to us that was open until 11pm. When we arrived there were 3 employees and one being a manager standing outside. I then asked why they closed early but I was rudely responded with "we were always open until 10..." Came by on a Tuesday evening. Pretty clean, nice place for a fast food joint. Not that much seating, but it wasn't too busy so it was ok. First thing I notice are the daily specials, $3.29 for two pieces of fried chicken (leg and thigh)!! Dang what a steal!! We ordered "spicy" but as expected, it wasn't spicy at all. Although it was pretty flavourful. And the breading is on point, pretty generous and very crunchy. The one thing I didn't like was how greasy the meat was. Especially the thigh, if anything choose drumsticks or chicken tenders over thigh meat. Biscuits here are also delicious! Fluffy, buttery goodness for $0.95! A bit on the small side but they are filling. And service was super fast, which I love. Food came to us literally right after we ordered.
