Fell a bit short of 5 stars for me. The flavors were just like the memory but I didn't get to relive that lovely crispy texture I love. I'd still come back here regardless. It's really the best KFC around.

October 11, 2025 - I got the rose Tteokbokki and the Korean fried chicken with traditional Korean BBQ sauce, which came with diced radish. Both had a bit of a spicy kick to then. The Tteokbokki came with some cabbage. Both were good comfort dishes. Nothing too special, but solid.

A good place for from Korean fried chicken! Although the google rating can't be trusted (they are giving free cheese balls when you give and show them the review), trust me when I say the food here was actually good. We got a table right away and the place was clean. Even had some Halloween decorations up which was cute and festive! The menu was easy to understand but I'm surprised that they didn't have tteokbokki and chicken combo here, which I heard some of the other locations have. It was my first time at a bb.q chicken chain so we decided to stick with chicken and got 2 different flavours to try. They were both very flavourful and the chicken was juicy and crispy. Though because of the heavy sauce the bottom pieces were no longer crispy by the time I got to it but it was still good nonetheless. We also got to pick 2 sides. I loved the radishes! It's such a good palette cleanser when the chicken gets too heavy. The staff here wasn't super attentive but they are still polite and don't rush you to leave. I was in the area looking to pick up something for dinner, came across this restaurant that I haven't tried before. I got their soy garlic chicken over rice. The portion was a bit small for the price so I didn't think it was quite worth it. Overall it tasted just okay.

One of my fave korean fried chicken places. This particular location opened up last month and replaced 88 Gamjatang. It's located right next to the fairly new Pho Anh Vu in the O Mei plaza. Parking is usually pretty good. You won't have to fight for spots like at Commerce Gate. Most kfc spots divide their orders by half and whole chickens. BB.q chicken however, serves their chicken by weightage (each basket of chicken is roughly half a chicken) so the prices appear cheaper because you're getting a rough equivalent of a half chicken per order. The other thing that makes BB.q chicken unique is that "boneless" on the menu is not the popcorn chicken style you would see at most restaurants. It's actually large chicken thigh/breast chunks that have been deboned so that's really convenient. It was my first time trying different cheese ball flavours. Between sweet potato, original and chocolate my fave cheese ball was the chocolate one by far. Sweet and salty will always be a killer combo. You'll definitely want to try chicken under the "fried & sautéed" section as you cant really find those flavours at other popular kfc spots in the GTA. One of my faves is the galbi Q flavour. I also see rosé tteokbokki on the menu at a lot of korean restos but my fave has to be the one at BB.Q chicken. The sauce makes the rice cake literally taste like pasta! (My gf prefers the BB.Q chicken on birchmount in downtown markham because she likes that they are milder w/ the spice and also use thinner rice cakes as opposed to the richmond hill location). The service is friendly and the interior decor is sleek. The unit IS small though so you might want to make reservations on a weekend during peak dinner times.

Casual Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) bar spot The bb.q in our name stands for "Best of the Best Quality", and that's exactly what you can expect from every one of our restaurants. Our Korean fried chicken is crispier, juicier, and more tender than anything you've tasted before, and our sauces provide an eclectic mix of flavor. Every dish is the result of both longstanding Korean tradition and modern research and development from our very own Chicken University. It's a tremendous amount of work, but it's all worth it when you take that first bite. (Src: their website) This is not a lie - when we came and ordered- the chicken was juicy, tender and pretty delicious. Service: OK at best, it's a bar after all and you really need to work to flag them down, wasn't that busy either but when they came they were very attentive Food: 3 kinds of chicken we ordered, all with crispy exteriors and juicy insides. Surprisingly very light too and not heavy like popeyes or kfc. Got some shrimp toasties (recommend) and some cold noodles (Decent but it is what it is) Also order a tower of beer. Ambiance: It's a bar, it was clean. Lots of parking when the plaza isn't busy, but there is a lot of restaurants here for fast meals so it can get busy. Overall experience, we had good food and good company, for a decent price. Can't ask for much more than that in today's day and age.

In love with this new Korean fried chicken location as I often frequented the takeout only location at H-mart on Yonge. The old location or Palpal Gamjatang has now been reborn as an excellent bb.q CHICKEN restaurant :D I will admit that I will miss the potato pancake from the former restaurant that was here but out with the old, and in with the new I suppose ~ Highly recommend you reserve a table in advance on Friday/Saturday nights because this place can get PACKED! -[GALBI Q BONELESS COMBO] $18.00 This combo can be served with your 3/4 lbs of boneless chicken tossed in your choice of sauce and either fries and (your choice of) dip OR salad. I went with Galbi Q as the flavor and that's basically the sauce that Korean people use to marinade beef ribs - it's sweet, black peppery, and topped with green onions! I loved it, and let my friends try some as well. They regretted their sauce choices after trying mine haha. I also chose miso mayo for my dip and it was delicious :) My friends tried their bone in Golden Fries/Secret Sauced chicken and devoured both aka the fried chicken here is TOP TIER. Make sure you also order fries on the side, and to get their garlic mayo to try - it is AWESOME 100% will be back to get their beer tower because when we went, it was out of service so they could only serve alcohol from bottles - no matter as I was 100% planning on returning anyways haha

Ok so it's been awhile since my last review but ever since post-covid, I've been doing monthly…read morewings here w/ a buddy of mine from design school just to catch up on life. Our go-to order is the quintuple (5 lbs of wings; 3 flavours). We usually get 2 lbs of nero's epilogue, 2 lbs of cleopatra, 1lb of pandora's box and some beers. I think All Stars might've been the first chain wing franchise in toronto (even before Wild Wings but don't quote me on that). If you get breaded wings they always come out nice and crispy. The meat is pretty good (you'll get a dry one every so often) and there's a decent amount of sauce in most baskets (sometimes the chef has an off night and doesn't put enough sauce but he's pretty consistent). The wings aren't the biggest but they're decently sized. Is it the best wings I've had in toronto? Nope. That title would belong to King of Wings in Stouffville or the now defunct Fanzone Wings & Ribs in Scarborough. Both which have the biggest, meatiest, juiciest, crispiest wings I've ever had. But All Stars is always solid. As a chain, I much prefer them over Wild Wings tbh. The service can vary greatly lol. Each month, my friend and I get a different waitress and we've gotten some bad ones to some really good ones. It does seem like staff turnover is really high (either that or they just work the randomest, jumbled shifts) but anyways, the wings are good, the value is still there so for that a very solid 4 stars.

2023 Take Out Review :D…read more I won't lie, I am often lazy, and want food delivered to my door that is comforting. I hadn't had AllStar wings in forever so I ordered from here to satisfy that craving. Please note that the prices in this post are from UberEats :') 100% going to do it again this week I think haha. THAT is how good their takeout was for me. -[ALL STARS CHICKEN TENDER COMBO] $25.45 I got the flavor of Prime Time (Chipotle, Homicide, Ranch, Black Pepper) for the first time, and I'd honestly order it again. I did think it would actually be spicy given that the word "homicide" was in its flavor profile but I honestly found it to be sour more than spicy. I also upgraded the plain fries to Cleopatra Fries (Creamy Garlic and Honey Garlic Sauce w/parmesan cheese) which I always highly recommend -[BITES COMBO] $24.70 I got my usual flavor of Caesar Does Texas (Chipotle Base, Creamy Garlic, Parmesan), and I do have to say, the bites are much more tender, and moist compared to the tenders. I will likely opt for bites over tenders for future orders. I also upgraded the fries here to Loaded Fries (Cheddar, Mozzarella, Bacon Bits, Gravy) aka poutine with bacon bits. Pretty darn good too if I do say so myself Overall, totally worth ordering again!

This was my first time at an AiTaiker restaurant and I was very impressed!…read more This place is more of a take out but with around 15 seats. Everyone working here was so nice and enthusiastic. They all speak English and Mandarin. We asked for recommendations and ended up getting their Taiwanese crispy chicken combo, New Orleans chicken sandwich combo, popcorn chicken, and deep fried squid balls with fries and cold sweet green tea. Unfortunately they sold out of the squid tentacles which are my favourite at dim sum! The huge (as big as your face) Taiwanese crispy chicken was freshly fried with clean oil and had a slight sweetness to it. The chicken to batter ratio was on point! The New Orleans chicken sandwich was interesting. Good flavoured marinated chicken. Defintely not as big as the photos would make you believe but decent. It's topped with mayo, lettuce and tomato. The squid balls were squidy (lots of squid bits)! Which was great, but slightly fishy tasting. The popcorn chicken was nice big chunks of chicken (huge compared to KFC) with a slightly different flavour profile than the Taiwanese chicken. The fries were delicious too. Nice batter, sort of like costco fries but slightly sweet. The green tea was nice, but not being so keen on sweet drinks we mixed it with our sparkling water which was nice. The restaurant itself was unfortunately too dim for our liking. It took away from our stay there. Their restroom door was broken and needs a little fixing. Likely from whatever store was there prior to AiTaiker taking over. All in all, great food, great people, okay store front! I'd come back pick up some face sized chicken and try their different styles (Japanese, volcano cheese, taiker honey) Cheers and thanks for reading~ TIP: We initially ordered the Spicy chicken legs but would've had to wait 40mins! The sandwich itself is made up of 3 chicken tenders rather than one giant piece of chicken (which I kind of liked!). The curly fries were a little soggy because we got it to go but I'm sure if I ate them fresh in the restaurant, they would be hot and fresh. The fries also had some sort of flavouring on them, I think it might be cajun, which I loved! I will definitely buy these sandwiches again or even just the tenders themselves because they were SO good.
