Ok so it's been awhile since my last review but ever since post-covid, I've been doing monthly wings here w/ a buddy of mine from design school just to catch up on life. Our go-to order is the quintuple (5 lbs of wings; 3 flavours). We usually get 2 lbs of nero's epilogue, 2 lbs of cleopatra, 1lb of pandora's box and some beers. I think All Stars might've been the first chain wing franchise in toronto (even before Wild Wings but don't quote me on that). If you get breaded wings they always come out nice and crispy. The meat is pretty good (you'll get a dry one every so often) and there's a decent amount of sauce in most baskets (sometimes the chef has an off night and doesn't put enough sauce but he's pretty consistent). The wings aren't the biggest but they're decently sized. Is it the best wings I've had in toronto? Nope. That title would belong to King of Wings in Stouffville or the now defunct Fanzone Wings & Ribs in Scarborough. Both which have the biggest, meatiest, juiciest, crispiest wings I've ever had. But All Stars is always solid. As a chain, I much prefer them over Wild Wings tbh. The service can vary greatly lol. Each month, my friend and I get a different waitress and we've gotten some bad ones to some really good ones. It does seem like staff turnover is really high (either that or they just work the randomest, jumbled shifts) but anyways, the wings are good, the value is still there so for that a very solid 4 stars. read more

2023 Take Out Review :D I won't lie, I am often lazy, and want food delivered to my door that is comforting. I hadn't had AllStar wings in forever so I ordered from here to satisfy that craving. Please note that the prices in this post are from UberEats :') 100% going to do it again this week I think haha. THAT is how good their takeout was for me. -[ALL STARS CHICKEN TENDER COMBO] $25.45 I got the flavor of Prime Time (Chipotle, Homicide, Ranch, Black Pepper) for the first time, and I'd honestly order it again. I did think it would actually be spicy given that the word "homicide" was in its flavor profile but I honestly found it to be sour more than spicy. I also upgraded the plain fries to Cleopatra Fries (Creamy Garlic and Honey Garlic Sauce w/parmesan cheese) which I always highly recommend -[BITES COMBO] $24.70 I got my usual flavor of Caesar Does Texas (Chipotle Base, Creamy Garlic, Parmesan), and I do have to say, the bites are much more tender, and moist compared to the tenders. I will likely opt for bites over tenders for future orders. I also upgraded the fries here to Loaded Fries (Cheddar, Mozzarella, Bacon Bits, Gravy) aka poutine with bacon bits. I settled on the Roasted Garlic & Pepper Wings ($14.95) and these were sooo good. This is under the dry/ dusted section for their wing flavours on their menu. I loved them so much that I ordered some more for takeout. If you're into sports, there's a TV screen at every booth to watch a game live as well. Our server was friendly and gave us great recommendations. They also offer food options other than wings, and options that are dairy free, vegetarian, and gluten friendly. I love chicken wings. My love for them started at this All Star Wings & Ribs over a decade ago. A friend of mine lives five minutes away by car from this location. We'd meet up here for wings for dinner. We'd order three pounds of wings and some fries, and take whatever was left home. Good times, indeed! I learned about a promotion on Canada Takeout Day this past Wednesday. When you buy at least two pounds of wings from this location, you get a free order of Greek fries. Nice! I called in my order. I spoke to a cheerful man. I got two pounds of unbreaded garlic galore wings. With the Greek fries, he asked me whether I wanted them beer-battered. Ooh! I love beer-battered onion rings, so my ears perked right up hearing about beer-battered fries. He said that they stay crispy and don't get as soggy as regular fries. They were $2 more. I said yes as if I were being proposed to! I got there and there was plenty of parking. I walked in. Only the lobby is open with a small window to pick up or place an order. There was one other customer there. I dinged the bell. The nice man with whom I conversed over the phone got my order. I paid using a debit card and I was off with dinner. I thanked him and happily headed to my car. Oh, how I have missed All Star wings! Garlic galore wings are perfect. If you love garlic and how it builds up with each bite, this flavour is all yours. It's great when you're self-isolating, so you don't make anyone or anything that breathes around you faint with your garlicky breath. The wings were so yummy. I had some for lunch the next day. In general, I'm not a fries gal. However, smother them with Greek seasoning and cheese, and I am a huge fan. The beer-battered fries wee delicious! They weren't overly crispy, but they weren't soggy by the time I ate them, either. So full of flavour! I have had the hail Caesar fries with my friend in the past and loved them. We have sampled so many wing flavours over the years that I need to revisit them. They were mostly saucy flavours with some spicy heat. As of late, I like the dry rubs a lot more. I'm so glad I dropped by. It has been way too long. It looks the same inside, except for the dining area being blocked off. Went here with a couple of friends for wings! Overall found my experience pretty lackluster. The wings are pretty expensive and the flavors I found were pretty mediocre. Not only were the portions small but you're really limited by the amount of choice you have (only 3 flavors for 5 lbs of wings). They also tasted pretty similar. Along with that, I found the service pretty slow (water took a while and ketchup literally never came). The TVs were also pretty grainy. Definitely don't see myself coming back. read more

This has always been one of the original wing spots that we've loved for years. Always been a classic with the million flavours that you need to ask for the descriptions on. My all time favourite has always been Stampede (creamy based), with Wings Gone Wilder (honey mustard and hot sauce) coming in for a close second place. You can choose non breaded or breaded, I prefer the non breaded as these are still pretty bready. I will highly recommend the Cleopatra Brew City fries... fried at the perfect crisp level and covered in honey garlic and a creamy garlic sauce. My only drawback is that you can't split flavours without paying an extra $2.50. Located in a busy plaza with lots of parking. I do recommend, always a better experience when eating at the actual restaurant instead of take out. read more

Especially since I am a hot chicken wing fanatic, I can finally report that this establishment does indeed sell spicy wings. A couple weeks ago, I ordered "American Eruption" from their four-flame list. They left me without even a lip tingle. Today, I asked for their second-from-hottest "H-Bomb" wings but unfortunately they were out of that sauce. So I conceded to their 6-flame "5 Alarm Inferno" wings which are a Buffalo style wing but hotter than benchmark Buffalo wings. I enjoyed them very much and they left me with a much desired burn. I was tended to by an incredibly friendly person named Natalia. She was remarkably attentive and made sure my beer was never empty. Be sure to sit in her section when you visit. This location (I believe) is the original All-Stars from decades past and still keeps up today. They have a ton of flavours - I have my personal favs, but it's worth going through the menu to find something right (or new!). Decided to stop in this evening with my sister for some drinks and some good wings, walking in we didnt see any servers so we decided to seat ourselves the waitress eventually came to our table and handed us the menu and got started on our drinks , she was very friendly made our experience pleasant. The drinks and food came out quick and it was busy! that was impressive thank you BTW free wifi I did give a 4 star because unfortunately the "bucket" for wings was dirty and had sauce all over it, from the outside and the inside it really grossed me out because my sister and I hate sauce so seeing old sauce stained on the bucket was not pleasant at all. I will keep in mind for my next visit to ask for a extra plate for the bones and avoid the bucket. The Bad: It can be overwhelming and it doesn't explain what the flavors are with the funky names. How is anyone supposed to guess?! All star used to be my go to place for wings when I was in high school (now I have some other favorites) and I revisited yesterday for dinner with my family. It looks exactly the same as when I used to go - your quintessential sports bar feel. The raptors game was on so it was relatively full and the vibe was lively. For 5 people: We ordered 5 lbs of breaded wings (split into 3 flavours) was 2 orders of Greek fries. Flavours: 1) Caesar does Texas -wings tossed in bbq sauce and drizzled with Caesar dressing; pretty good but I wish they used a light drizzle of Caesar, it seemed like they dumped a whole bottle on. 2) Pandora's box - honey garlic and Thai sauced; sweet, sweet, sweet. Too sweet for my taste but the rest of my family loves them. 3) Hot - buffalo hot; not hot at all, this is a medium at other places so if you want something hotter go for extra hot or suicide. Overall the wings were decently sized and good quality, I just like my wings crispier and the flavours to be more... punchy if that makes sense. Greek fries are a must! The fries are medium cut and fried well and drizzled with a creamy Greek feta dressing and oregano. So delicious. Two orders were more than enough for 5 people to share. Servers were friendly and food came out quickly. My only gripe with the menu is that they literally have 100s of flavours and you have to ask servers to explain what they are - I wish they'd just print them on the menu; I feel awkward asking the server to explain dozens of flavours and I'd also think it's annoying for them to explain on a busy night. read more

It does get pretty busy during the evenings but so far, I haven't had any problems with service. Their breaded wings are really flavourful and crispy. My personal favourites are ranch and bloody caesar (caesar + hot sauce). It's true that they don't list any of the ingredients beside the names, but I have always been able to ask the servers for explanations and recommendations. Surprisingly, they also have a good salad selection and I always order the California salad (spinach, brie, cherry tomatoes, pecans, etc.) I don't go for wings often, but this is the place I go to when I do get that craving. I was ready to challenge the hottest wings at All Star Wings and Ribs! The Armageddon which suppose to be really really hot, so hot you need to sign a waiver in order to eat that..... And DAMN! They don't have it!!! According to reliable sources, this location had not served that for over 2 years. No, not because no one is brave enough to order it but they just don't have it in stock.... So reluctantly we settled for the A Bomb and the H Bomb and some Fries with Gravy. How hot is H Bomb.... Accordingly to my friends, those suckers were the hottest thing they ever ate. I believed them when I saw how their faces turned all red, with tears in their eyes and sweat on their faces. But they both finished their 5 H Bomb wings! Luckily refills on soft drinks and water are free... and they just drinking nonstop trying to lessen the heat.... I've gone to the place so many times over the years that I've lost count. All Stars will always have a special place in my heart, just because they were one of the first few wing places that had so many flavours on their menu. The wings are great. Over the years, I have seen them get smaller and smaller with their portions, but that is not unheard of in the industry. They have like 150 flavours to choose from on their menu, granted that some flavours taste very similar and are just spicier variations of other flavours. That said, if you come here and you like cheesy and creamy flavours, Ceasar Does Texas is really amazing. I highly recommend this flavour. If you're looking for something sweet but with a spicy kick, my personal favourite is the Wings Gone Wild family (they have Wings Gone Wilder and Wings gone wicked). Also, get a basket of fries with gravy to share with the group and you're going to have a super great time. This place does get packed on the weekend or game nights, so make sure to try to get a reservation ahead of time. The place is actually decently sized, so pretty good for larger groups (8 - 10 people). Never had a problem with the staff and everything is usually pretty clean. If I was rating this with nostalgia, it would be a hands-down 5/5. That said, rating this like any other restaurant or service, I would rate it 4/5 relative to the other wing places that have opened up. The flavours are awesome but wish the wings were slightly bigger! Their Monday deal is still blessed (buy 1lbs get 0.5lbs free). read more

Ordered the following as recommended by our food server : Pandora's box - sweet/mild spicy honey flavour - 10/10 Dry roasted garlic and pepper - no sauce but with a great tasting garlic flavour all around - 10/10 Smoking Texas - sweet/more spicy with the Homicide (hot sauce) - so this is much spicier and may not appeal to you if you prefer mild spiciness. I'm ok with it but it had less of the aroma of the other two. 7/10 NY striploin 8 oz - my youngest son is into steaks now after trying out different striploins. Although he liked it, it was not as good as Baton Rouge's. This one from All Star tasted a bit bland for me and the striploin that came out appeared to be lukewarm. Decided to go here for some wings and fries with my girlfriend. We were greeted and seated fairly quickly with our orders placed pretty quickly. Parking's shared with T&T but there's still ample space on this side. Wings were pretty good, nothing to complain about there. We ordered loaded fries (fries with shredded cheese, bacon and gravy). Holy moly, this was filling. My favourite part is they don't use cheese curds (which I'm personally not a fan of). The portion was gigantic. The bacon, however, was pretty tasteless and I could barely tell there were any there to begin with and the fries were a little overcooked. Also of note: When we ordered, both the soup and slush drinks were on the menu, but neither were "served at this location", which is a bit of a downer. Service was solid as Brenda filled our drinks (without us asking, actually) and was pretty patient with us. The place itself is a little small, but there wasn't anyone there on a Saturday at 5:30pm. Prices run a little higher than Wild Wing and Boston Pizza by a few bucks here or there. I wasn't really overwhelmed by anything and I'm thinking overcooked fries was a one-off. When it comes to wings places in Markham area, I think most people will mention All Star Wings & Ribs at some point in time. This is a Wings & Ribs place but I actually never had their ribs before. This wing place offers a wide variety of flavours for their wings, and if you ask me to choose a top 3, I will go for the breaded wings with Hail Caesar, Cajun and Honey Garlic. Yes, as you can already guessed, I can't eat things that are too spicy. As for sides, I highly recommend the Fully Loaded Fries, aka the bacon with everything poutine! And if you are like me where you always have a few health conscious friends where they like to order foods other than beer, wings and fries in a WINGS place, the salads they offer here are actually quite decent in size and they taste great as well! Lastly, the beer! They do have a decent selections to choose from, so I'm sure you will find a drink you want! Located on Woodbine and 16th avenue, it is one of my favourite location to visit if I ever crave chicken wings, I always decide between this place or St.Louis Wings. The seating arrangement is spacious and friendly customer service. They have deals for different days of the week, always a plus in my books for cheaper meal! They have variety of flavours vary for different spicy level. I would say sometimes it can be a miss for me as if the place gets busy, but overall it is delicious and very flavourful. I personally love the Pandora's box, it is very good for those who enjoy a little spicy. They have fries I would recommend beer batter which is is delicious for a sides. I really enjoyed the AllStar Nachos and it hit the spot in terms of my craving. These were freshly prepared nacho chips topped with 1/2 lb. of cheese, diced tomato, jalapeños, and shallots. It was served with salsa and sour cream. (For four dollars, we also added a serving of 100% ground beef chili to it.) The cheese was so good -- chewy and stringy while the jalapeños were just spicy to give a kick. We devoured this and despite its gigantic size, finished it with just three pieces left. It was truly comfort food at its best. The Pineapple Curry wings smelled of pineapple and curry for sure. The Maple Thai wings tasted very similar to honey garlic wings. The wings came with a few stalks of celery and ranch dip. The wings were all right; I thought they were a tiny tad on the dry side. The service here was good. I am a wing lover, and i love all stars, just not this location. This rating is for this location only. I have been to all stars many times, but only twice to this location. Service was great, but the wings were pretty puny. The second time i came here the server even told me "today our wings are really small so were going to give you a few extra to make up for it" and i was expecting at least 3-4 more. Man, this place isn't hopping like it used to be back in the day. Though their renovations have done wonders to open up the space, they just aren't cranking out as many covers as they did once upon a time. Saturday night, 6:30 pm, and we were the only ones dining in. The Wings are consistently good, though I do notice small differences since the change of ownership a few years ago. Most notably, the Blue Cheese dipping sauce that is barely filled even a 1/3 up the little cup it's served in. Come on now, would it kill you to fill the cup with a tablespoon more? Even if you pay for an extra dipping sauce on the side, you only get a measly tablespoon and a half of sauce. We usually get Prime Time, Nero's Epilogue, Desperado, Wings Gone Wilder, and/or Hawaiian Eruption. This is definitely food you only want to eat twice a year. You feel great on your first wing, you feel horrible by your last, lol. So much grease! Since the change in ownership, the service has been inconsistent. I ordered take out on October 3, 2020 from the All Star Wings & Ribs location on Woodbine and 16th and was very disappointed with my takeout experience. I ordered one pound of unbreaded Spicy Lemon wings. When I tried the wings, there was not much flavour and the wings were over cooked. The wings were so dry to the point of almost being burnt. I called the restaurant that evening after trying one of the wings to let them know about the issue and if I could get it replaced as it was barely edible. The waitress advised me to come back to the restaurant so that they could put more seasoning on the wings and that is all she could do. I responded in a polite manner that it would not be worth my time to drive all the way back just for some additional seasoning. I asked if there was any other reimbursement I could receive, she advised she could only give me 15% off on my next order. After speaking with her, I feel very unappreciated as a long-time customer and cheated as the wings were not up to normal standards in terms of flavour and being almost burnt. I absolutely loved going to Allstar Wings & Ribs in the past and would always rave to my family and friends about how they are my favourite wings. It would be greatly appreciated if management could look into the preparation process of the wings so that future customers do not have a bad experience like me. read more

The menu says there's 200 flavor but it's really just a combination of the same basic flavored. There's nothing special about that. The waitress didn't know what beer her sports bar served ... What!? She told me that Coors light was Canadian beer. The beer selection was weak. The menu lacks description, so what if I had allergies or I didn't like a certain flavor. I had no idea what some of these flavors meant. The waitress probably wouldn't know that either. I ordered the .. Honey Garlic Wings: very bland and where was the garlic taste/flavor? H Bomb: second most spiciest wings on their menu, yeah it was off the roof spicy ... But there were no other flavors BUT spicy. Texas does Caesar: it was very heavy and saucy in a way that's not good. I feel like they just slapped on the sauce and call it done. Greek Fries: they were okay but very heavy and soggy. When it comes to wings, All Star Wings is unfortunately not one of my top choices. Coming here on a weekday night, it was packed. Even though it was packed, it took the waitresses 20 minutes before we were served and asked us how many people were in our party. It was a little disappointing that we weren't even acknowledged until later. The wings itself was decent (I got the Honey Garlic as usual) and each pound of wings is about $11 plus tax. The wings came with about 5 sticks of celery+carrots, which was also a little disappointing. I felt like I'd rather not have such a small amount of celery + carrots, or if they served it, a quantity of around 10 would be better. Other than that, we were served great when we got to sit down, and the waitress was really accommodating with splitting the bill from such a large party of guests. read more

I love coming here whether its for their wings or simply to watch a game on TV! Been here many times so I'll just comment based on my different experiences. This All Star Wings is pretty easy to find as its in the corner inside a plaza. The location however can sometimes be packed and sometimes be quiet. Just go with your luck - I always come here on impulse haha:) Their wings are really good, come here for 'em! They have over 200 flavours for you to choose from and if you dare, you can try their super hot wings!! (Remember to tell me about it afterwards~). Personally, I haven't tried too many flavours but I tend to be very loyal towards the "Blue Honey" flavour. It's basically honey garlic wings with blue cheese. I actually order this flavour almost at every wings place. Most of the time, our table of two would order both the Blue Honey and Honey Garlic wings split evenly. Don't judge, just my style lol. The Honey Garlic wings were quite sticky but super tasty mmmm. As for my Blue Honey, they were more towards the sour side - this actually is my fav! I love sour food hehe, suits my taste buds. Those wings were also very saucy and stuck to my mouth a lot. Seriously, writing about it now makes me want these wings! It was very creamy and plus, the blue cheese ain't too strong for the general audience either. Too delicious to describe anymore! Crispy on the outside, tender and soft on the inside. The wing sizes at All Star Wings are relatively big too (despite finding an abnormally flat yet huge wing). Nevertheless, both Blue Honey and Honey Garlic are good options for those who don't or can't take spiciness. Most of the time, their service is good but I still can recall twice that weren't at par. One time, the server kept us waiting for a whole 30+ minutes for wings when the restaurant was pretty much empty. Turns out one of their stoves or something broke down. Another time, our server forgot to place in our order of sweet potato fries until we questioned it after 30 minutes. Finally after it was served, I realized they didn't come with the typical mayonnaise mustard dip you usually get. They only had ketchup = fail. It was funny but I was impressed - they attempted to make a chipotle-mayo dip for us as an alternative. Good effort and service even though it still didn't go too well with the sweet potato fries (tasted more like bbq sauce, kind of a weird spicy sour taste) :P Those are my wing stories!
