This place used to be my absolute favourite place to go to get wings and fries! Especially because the wide range of flavours they had, along with it being Tamil owned! If I were to describe my meal in one word, I would use the word "dry". I ordered takeout on Canada day for a group of four people and it took around 20 minutes to be done. We ordered four Markham specials which come with wings, the wow wing fries and a pop can. We got honey garlic, spicy garlic parmesan, hot honey and garlic parmesan. Every single order had the driest wings we have ever had in our entire life. I'm not sure if the wings were old, or over cooked but the meat was dry and the chicken wing skin resembled the texture of dry jerky. Not even the heavy amount of sauce could save this meal. Not only were the wings dry, the fries were dry too. I'm not sure what went wrong with all our fries but they tasted so stale and again, not even the sauce could save it. Another thing to note is that one of the meals had a HAIR stuck to one of the fries. I will never come back to this Wow Wing location. They're definitely cutting corners, maybe sacrificing quality for efficiency but nonetheless, a sad waste of $68. read more

The best deal, IMHO, is the *2 Pair Platter*. 25 wings (so approximately 2.5 lbs) for FIVE flavours. Not 2, not 2.5 flavours, but 5 flavours. I got to try 5 flavours for $29? (For reference, 1lb/1 flavour costs $11) Not to mention my BF and I were stuffed to the rim and had leftover for lunch the next day. Depending on dry or wet wings, the skin was slightly crisp or soaked in sauce. I enjoyed the 2 chilies heat level. I considered it medium to hot heat. If you are like it really hot, there are flavours that are at 6 chilies heat level. I deducted 1 star because the wings could be fresher. I am a big WOW! Wing House enthusiast and have visited 5+ of their locations. This is hands down their worst location. The quality and freshness of their wings have only diminished over the years. I've ordered from this location over 10+ times in the past few years and each order is not made with the proper recipe, extremely soggy, and lacked toppings. The only reason I order from here is because it's the closest location to me but I'd much rather order from the Finch location in Pickering which is always consistent with their quality. Within 5 minutes my takeout order was ready. Probably the worst wings I have had. The honey garlic wings were not crispy at all. It felt like there was a mushy outer layer of batter even though these are not battered wings I don't think. The dry Cajun wings did not fair any better. It didn't taste like Cajun spices at all. It tasted more like a home brew of Indian spices. Since so may reviews mentioned that the chili fries were so good I thought I would give it a try. Worst decision ever and worst fries I have ever eaten. The fries were hard. Not crispy but hard. I was picturing chili sauce on the fries but it only had chili powder with some mayo and a bunch of chopped onions. NO CHILI SAUCE ON CHILI FRIES??? WTF??? All 3 flavours are pretty good, but town of Jaffna is super spicy! So if spicy wings aren't your thing, do not get that flavour. The wings aren't small, also portions are pretty decent. Not too little, not too much. The service is pretty fast, but I usually call in ahead of time so I won't have to wait long for my order. However, I feel like at times they do get confused with orders if you order a few things at once, so just make sure you double check your dishes. These wings were definitely spicy but not enough for me to not to enjoy the food. Maybe a bit more ranch sauce or even just a side sauce to dip my wings in would have been ideal. The chilli onion fries were also really nice too. The fries I think could have used more seasoning, but they still went great with the wings 2) Presentation: 5/5 - The layout of this place was nice and clean and didn't seem too cluttered either. The food presentation was very messy, and for comfort food such as chicken wings, that's just the way I like it! 3) Location: 4/5 - Right off Markham Road in the plaza you'll find Hakka Legend in. It may be tricky to find at first considering how many stores are there, so just know that this location is literally at the very back corner of the parking lot right next to the road. 4) Overall Experience: 4/5 - Nice service, delicious food with lots of other food options on the menu, and a pretty easy place to find except being in such a big parking lot. You're here for wings and not the other distractions. The New Delhi Drive location has a small interior, with some seating if you'd actually like to sit down for your meal with a small number of people. The thought though is obviously for you to pick up your order, or get takeout. When it comes to ordering your wings, things get a little overwhelming. Wow Wing House claims that they have over 123 different flavours. (Why over 123 and not 120? God knows...) So if you're one to love having plenty of choice, you'll have a field day ordering. Excuse me for forgetting the atypical flavours that I ordered, but I can say that they were quite satisfying, well cooked, and appropriately spiced according to their rating. These wings don't necessarily entice thoughts of the best wings you've had, but they get the job done well. Along with the wings I had fresh green chilli & onion fries. I ordered these purely out of a gut feeling, because who can resist fries topped with chilli, roasted garlic, red onion, and three ooey gooey cheeses. And of course I was right. They were pretty good. On the other hand, the meal lost points since after finishing the fries, my body promptly and confidently let me know that it did not approve of my dietary decisions. After having Wow Wing House twice, I'll settle on that I'm happy with what they offer, but for myself, I'll be going sparingly. However the fries with the chili (hot pepper not chili con carne) and onion etc was super tasty. I can't remember but you either get 1 or 1.5lb of wings with a side of their special chilli onion fries for $17 (the fries make this worth it). Wow Wing is a really small, Tamil family run joint in the New Delhi plaza on Markham Rd. If you're with a large group of friends it would probably be better to grab your food and go but sitting down with a group of 4 is not impossible. There are so many different flavours to try and if you're a fan of spiciness, this place will definitely appeal to you. I tried the the honey garlic and some of what my friend had (forgot his flavour, but it was spicy), and they were both delicious. However, I am ADDICTED to Wow Wings' chili onion fries! First of all, I don't even like onions, but these fries are sooooooo GOOD. Regularly they are about $7 but on Mondays and Wednesdays they are only $4.99. Also, they have a deal called the Markham special that includes a lb of wings and the chili onion fries for approx. $14. Probably my favourite takeaway wing joint. I mainly enjoy the fact that it not only offers your standard wing flavours but also caters to the South Indian spice palette. I get the wings in Devil's Ranch (so good) and the Chilli Fries. I always get the fries without onions, but it's a preference. Wait time is about 5-10 mins but I usually call ahead. I would definitely advise calling ahead during the evening/late nights on Friday or Saturday as they tend to get really busy. There is limited seating available inside. I give this place a 4/5 stars. -1 star because they sometimes put onions in my fries (I really can't stand onions) when I specifically ask them not to. I've had to drive all the way back once but they were apologetic. They also open at 4PM so no lunch time craving! I recommend this place though. This place has to do a better job packing their food for delivery, received the food cold. Should have had the wings wrapped in tin foil to keep the heat. Food was packaged in a white a styrofoam so by the time the food arrived it was cold. I ordered the Lovers Special, which included 3 pounds of wings with two dipping sauces, a large fries, and a large garden salad. For the most part, the wings were edible - your average heavily breaded wings, tossed in a flavour of your choice. However, there were a few pieces that were overcooked, leaving the chicken dry and inedible. Also, the garden salad was almost all lettuce with a few small slices of tomato (3), cucumbers (4), and onion. On top of that, the lettuce was bitter. Why? The garden salad was incredibly unsatisfactory, it was barely a garden salad, it was just lettuce. Another thing, I asked for Italian dressing for the salad and was given something else instead. Lastly, this is my personal preference, but the fries were too crispy for my liking - they were dry, HARD, and overcooked as well. Aside from the food, the service was subpar. They were not accommodating at all. We asked to swap our salad for one of the same price and was told no. We asked to upgrade our fries (obviously we'd pay the difference) and we were told no, again.
