The venue is located in the food court in the concourse level of the building that I work in so I waited until later in the afternoon, then went down and found the lineup not too long. I ordered a slider; there are 7 spice levels to choose from (from No Spice to Reaper) and I chose Mild. Pickles and onion, etc. are included and I found the slider to be delicious. One of my co-workers agreed with my appraisal - we both also concurred that the meat portion was quite large/generous - and mild was the right choice for my spice level. This opportunity was a very generous gesture from Dave's and I definitely recommend a visit to check them out if you haven't been.

Been eying this place for awhile and finally got to try it. We got the Chickaron fries as a light…read moresnack . The fries come in different in different colours , with each representing a different flavour. My personal flavour were the yellow and orange colour chicken fries which was turmeric and tomato flavour. The spice level we picked was light and it was for perfect for me - someone who can't really handle much spice The thing I love the most about these chicken fries is it had just the right amount seasoning and crunch too it . Didn't feel really oily either. Price is a tad steep $ 10.05 for fries but since it's actually chicken , it seemed ok . I will go back to buy the actual chicken cup as that seems like a better value and I'll get to pick my fav flavour !

The colouring on the chicken fries is supposed to be natural from ground up ingredient powders. I'm not sure if the owner is taiwanese or mainlander but he was really friendly. Didn't have any tissues and also no washroom at inside this unit, but he went to his CAR and grabbed me some wet naps to clean my hands which was really kind of him. The cutlet itself was breaded well, crispy and the chicken was juicy. The price is kinda steep so if it would've been a lil cheaper I'd award 5 stars. I'm keen to try some chicken fries with cuttlefish or tomato powder on the batter next time. It's a relatively chill spot and I don't think it's as well known as it's competitors, Monga or Hot Star, but it holds its own imo.

I've been curious about this fried chicken that originated from Dubai and immediately liked that they had a sign outside for daily $5 deals. Perfect for tasting something new! Server at the counter was friendly and I ordered the two piece fried chicken deal. It was awesome that it was made to order so it would be super fresh! But I had to wait about 15 min. Nice ambiance in the restaurant and many tables. More people started to come in while I waited. When my chicken arrived I was so surprised at how huge the thigh was! I was so happy because KFC, Mary Brown's and other franchises now cut their thighs in half and you only get half a thigh! This should be against the law! It was super hot so when it cooled down I was able to enjoy how crispy and juicy the chicken was. It didn't taste as flavourful as I hoped but next time I'll order it spicy. It was still really good and I'll definitely come back. I want to try their chicken sandwich and tandoori fries.

Service was pretty quick, and I am really intrigued by the art work inside, whoever did that deserves kudos, the chicken had good heat, definitely not as good as Chica's or Tokyo hot fried chicken . The ambiance is really nice, really unique artwork, meat was moist I should've ask for spicier that's my fault. Thg has some work to do to improve but overall it wasn't bad.

Very convenient downtown location and we were wanting something for lunch…read more Grabbed the Dave's #1 order for two chicken tenders with fries, lite mild and added a side of Mac & cheese. Probably the fav part of the meal was the fries and the dipping sauce. Would have preferred if it was a bit of a crispier chicken, the lite mild was too mild for me, and the chicken was a bit dry and chewy. The tenders were each really small they gave had given us three pieces instead of two. The interior is spacious with a few seats available for 2-4 people. The ordering was easy and service was efficient.

Just a heads up though, if you order "mild" it is still definitely spicy, but in a good way. That said, the service was a big downside. When I went with friends, the place was not even busy, but it still took about 20 minutes for our food to come out (yes I counted because we were in a rush). We only ordered two tenders with no drink. For something that feels like fast food, that is pretty unreasonable. I also went specifically to try the mozzarella sticks, but we were told they had not even started making them and it would take another 40 minutes, which is kind of wild. Even when our food was ready, things moved really slowly. The cashier took SEVERAL minutes just labeling and staring at each box, even though we all ordered the same thing, and then another minute just to put everything into a paper bag. Maybe it was his first day? Another frustrating part was that the washrooms were locked, so we could not even use them while we were there, which was a mild inconvenience, but I think bathroom access in a spicy chicken shop is a bit crucial. On top of that, it is pretty expensive for what you get. Overall, the food is the only thing really saving this place. It tastes incredible, but because of the slow service, locked washrooms, and high prices, I probably would not go back.

When I confronted the cashier about it, he said the computer said 16.99 and it's the most updated price. If the computer said 1000 dollars, am I supposed to pay 1000 dollars? The agreed contract price is 15.99 and that should be that. Later the cashier went to the back (assuming to talk to the manager/owner), and he gave me back a loonie (technically it should have been 1.13, but whatever). This place chose to use metal utensils instead of single use ones. The knife he gave me was quite disgustingly dirty (see pic). The food itself was decent. And for the amount of food, the price is very reasonable. I got the Raven Platter. My friend's fish platter was also decent, but looking at the texture and color, we couldn't tell if it was cooked thoroughly or not. We chose to keep eating and hope for the best. I finished most of my food, but I couldn't really comfortably eat all of the food, not knowing whether the plate or anything else they used was really clean to begin with. I'll come back and edit the review should anything happen :/ We probably should have brought up the price discrepancy issue AFTER we got our food. Needless to say, not gonna come back. Quality: 6/10. Service: 3/10. Value: 7/10. Overall: 3.5/10 (Not an average).

I had the fish platter (12.99) and while good I really don't cared for the cheap standard restaurant options of flavourless tilapia or basa fillets. I would have preferred another option such as salmon. I had the peri rice which is a type of spiced rice and a side salad. The salad was good quality as it contained spinach , tomatoes and cucumbers along with the iceberg. They have a veggie burger which I will try next time. I also appreciate the variety of sides you can get including potatoes or corn. The peri sauce was very spicy and I enjoyed it. Great hours (close at 12am fri & sat) so perfect when its a late night and you are at a loss for food options ). Will be back soon to try other menu items. Can get busy here so try to call ahead. In fact, this location might be better than the other ones I've visited before. Only real downside was the wait. I wish they had a better way to manage the lineup instead of using the old-school pen and paper system. It just felt a bit clunky and easy to miss names. One of our orders had the Consommé Fried Chicken, which might not have been the best pick overall, but even then, the quality and portion size hit the mark. We sampled the creole chicken sandwiches, hot honey chicken, popcorn shrimp, onion rings, mac and cheese and mashed potatoes with the creole gravy. In terms of actual chicken pieces, and the breaded chicken filet in the sandwich, these were super tender and juicy. The popcorn shrimp felt a little dry but everything was overall tasty.
