Had Big Mary and Sidekick sandwich. Was decent like usual fast food sandwiches. Big Mac comes with a pickle outside the bun so incase you don't like it you can just toss it out.

Wow, this was delicious - maybe the best fried chicken I've ever had! We came here on a quiet Sunday evening for a quick dine-in. Ordered 4 piece meal (sub'd in white meat) with taters, macaroni, gravy, and a drink. Portion size was perfect for two people. Everything was hot, tasted fresh, and was flavorful. The chicken recipe was excellent. Couldn't be happier, wish there were more Mary Browns in Toronto (especially downtown) and wish they were all just like this location which clearly places importance on serving high quality food (an extreme rarity in the fast food industry it seems) Will definitely come back here again.

I first discovered Mary Brown's almost 20 years ago on Queen Street in Streetsville (Mississauga) when I used to work up that way. It was in a strip mall and a small place. It wasn't fancy or well known at least to me at the time but it stuck with me for all those years. Fast forward to this last summer when a group of friends had a picnic in High Park and one of our group brought Mary Brown's as his contribution and I was like... damn son that's something that brings back memories. Now I've always known Mary Brown's was around but it wasn't something I would thought of and wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to get because well it was one of those out of sight out of mind situations. KFC which I've sort of gladly fallen out of love with quite a few years back has partly to do with my wife in the fact that she hates them. She had a bad experience decades ago and hasn't eaten at KFC since. Still, I've had my fair share of going to KFC a year here or there but very occasionally. Together we are more partial to Popeye's as far as take out fried chicken is concerned. They are more available sure and they're better IMO than KFC by a long shot although I still don't get it why there's no Cajun Sparkle to be had in Canada. Not only until I somehow noticed that there was a Mary Brown's not far from my home was my love for them rekindled. I mean I love fried chicken. I can't say it's my absolute favorite meal since I have so many that I like but it's right up there for me. The store I'm referring to is at the north east corner of Eglinton and Dixie connected to a gas station. While this area is literally saturated with places to eat, this one is well tucked away although it faces the street, it's very inconspicuous being such a small foot print in this very busy area right across the street from one of if not the busiest post offices in the country (Gateway). On my way home one evening I decided to grab us some dinner and because I haven't been in forever I had no idea how the menu was going to be as far as sizes, prices etc. I needed a few minutes to go over the options but I wasn't pressured since the place wasn't that busy. I had tried to go to this place several times before but they seem to close at 7pm most evenings and on the May long weekend even though I went before 7pm there was a sign on the door saying they'd be closed Sunday and Monday (insert sad face emoji). I was happy that I'd finally get to order, it was a good feeling like then you go to the mall and you don't have to drive around for 10 minutes looking for a parking spot or like getting on the subway and finding a seat or getting green lights all the way home. It felt like it was my lucky day... I went with the 8 piece meal which included 1 medium side salad and choice of fries or taters etc. I went with the taters (yum) and a macaroni salad and gravy. I had asked about the breakdown of the pieces because some places if you don't ask I've found in my life will try to give you an imbalanced meal of only dark meat. My wife doesn't like dark meat which is fine because I'll eat any pieces but true enough, breasts are bigger than thighs and drumsticks so it's also about value. That and she only really prefers the wings. She's got perma dibs on those pieces. It was explained that the 8 pieces would be 2 thighs, 2 drums, 2 wings, 2 breast pieces. That's perfect, basically an entire chicken EVEN. The meal came out to about 27 bucks with tax. I'm only about a 10 minute drive home and when I got home the plates came out right away. The chicken is nicely cooked, juicy, and fresh. The pieces were decently sized, not necessarily huge but not tiny either. The taters are amazing. I love these potatos... they're sort of coated so they're thick but also not bland. Their gravy is brown, sort of like what could be considered "beef" gravy as opposed to white "chicken" gravy. Either way their gravy is awesome with their potatoes and chicken. I found this is good value considering Popeye's for about the same meal is about 10 bucks more. Mary Brown's may not be Halal (I'm not sure) but for us it doesn't matter. I'd say it's way better than KFC by far and sort of reminds me of Bojangles which we don't have here in Canada. Either way I really ike Mary Brown's and I'm happy they are close to where I live so I can go back more often. The value is good, the quality is good and the chicken is great!

I've tried tacos from other places and I can still say this is the best tacos I've had in Mississauga. Now I come here frequently with my boyfriend whenever we feel like having tacos. We usually get five tacos each whenever we come. Last week, we came to get our usual. I got a Bang bang shrimp, pescado, the chicken pastor, the birria, and the Thai sweet chili cauliflower. He got two chicken pastors, a Bang bang shrimp, a Carne asada, and a pescado. I tried to order an elote but it seems they were out. I've already tried it before and just wanted to relive the goodness, so it was no big deal. It was quite busy that Sunday afternoon (we usually go on Thursday afternoons which is far less busy) but we were able to grab a table. The tacos were amazing as usual. I like how they use different tortillas for each tacos which complement each the protein inside the taco. For example, they double wrap the chicken pastor, and the birria tacos use a tortilla that can handle the dip. I also love their choice of toppings. I think the hickory sticks with the Carne asada work so well together, and the chicken pastor with the pineapples are so delicious. When we got the chicken pastors that Saturday, they didn't put pineapples on ours, but I assume they ran out. I've actually tried all of their tacos, and my favourites are definitely the Bang bang shrimp and the Pescado. The flavours just hit! I was pleasantly surprised by the Thai sweet chili cauliflower one. My boyfriend was telling me deep fried cauliflower tastes way better than normal cauliflower, and this taco delivered. The Thai sweet chili flavour really works. If you are planning to order 4+ tacos at a time, note that they deliver the tacos generally at the same time. I would resist the urge to wait until all tacos are on your table before eating as the tacos will cool down. Some tacos can handle the wait (like the birria) while other tacos are best enjoyed right away (like the shrimp and pescado). Overall, an amazing place to get tacos. Make sure you also try their other dishes, as well as their drinks, as they are quite unique and delicious too!

Was introduced to this place by a Yelp Elite Event and enjoyed the tacos so much I came back…read more I got some of the bang bang shrimp tacos and the tacos themselves were fantastic. Fresh ingredients, great flavor, and the sauce goes so well with the shrimp. I unfortunately underestimated the wait time for this place. I ordered via UberEats on a weekday evening, after finishing work in the area and was floored by the 40min estimated wait time, for 2 whole tacos. I really should have cut my losses and cancelled my order I was only about 10 minutes away but very far from home so I went ahead to double check if the wait time was accurate. They did take the full 40 mins. There were 2 staff on site, but only one person that seemed to do the cooking. Great tacos, but 40 mins is crazy. It's pretty pricey (like restaurant pricing equivalent) so combined with the long wait and slightly out of the way location, Im not exactly dying to come back. If you do decide to go, definitely order in advance. There's lots of parking there and lots of seating. What's odd is when I went, there were only 3-4 tables out of 10+ in use and it wasn't that busy inside the store, so who knows if it's a one off thing or they are always understaffed?

After work today, I was picking up a beverage order at Starbucks and noticed that this Harvey's was open. It has taken over the store that was Fresh Burger, and is between Chipotle and Sunset Grill. I thought that I would order a meal through the Harvey's app on my phone. I'd then fetch it at the eatery and sit down to enjoy it. I placed my order in my car, parked at Circle K, which was across the street. I took advantage of the angus burger combo for $8.99 before taxes, which had the following: - Angus burger on a multigrain bun - Onion rings - Diet Pepsi (I upgraded to a large) for $0.50 I got word that it would be ready in fifteen minutes. It was enough time for me to redeem some coupons at Circle K and then drive over to Harvey's. I ended up with a prime parking spot steps away from both Chipotle and Harvey's. I backed into the spot and walked in. There was a man sitting down at a table on the right. I headed straight to the counter and got a cheerful, bubbly woman. I let her know that I was picking up a takeout order and said my first name. Her colleague nodded and fetched my order in a paper bag. I thanked both of them and found a table. I sat down and had dinner, watching CP24 on the screen. The angus burger was delicious. It had garlic mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and relish. The multigrain bun was soft and held everything together. It was fantastic! My Diet Pepsi was okay. It didn't have enough Diet Pepsi syrup from the fountain machine. I should have stuck with the regular size. I loved my onion rings. They were crispy and naturally sweet. I dipped them in ketchup. I used the washroom before I headed home. There are two single stalls. One was wheelchair-accessible. I used the regular one. It was clean. What I loved about it was a little shelf that I used to place my drink on it. Nice! I'm happy that there's this eatery by my workplace. It's a nice change from having McDonald's in the area when I crave a burger. Welcome, Harvey's! It's a beautiful thing. (327)

My workplace is a five-minute drive to this eatery. It occupies the space that was Starbucks. When I walked in, I could still spot subtle reminders of this cafe, from the baked goods display when you place your order, to the Starbucks green upholstery. The Burger Alley did a great job adding its own design flair to it. I especially liked the zen rocks and shrubs. I like that there are more Halal burger joints popping up around my workplace. A decade ago, Burger Factory was the lone eatery. It's nice that there's competition, which includes Gladiator Burger and Steak, Chainsmoker Urban Barbeque, and now, The Burger Alley. This place accepts debit and credit cards. I never have cash on me, so I don't know about its acceptance. For burgers, it offers beef and chicken. So far, I have only done beef because it is excellent and I crave it. One of these days, I'll go with a chicken burger. My burger of choice is the Avada Kebabza beef burger. It's yummy! The beef in this burger was delicious. It was so juicy that at one stage, the juices were dripping down my left hand to my wrist. The bun was soft and toasted. It tasted like a potato bun. The lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions, sautéed mushrooms, and pickles were so fresh. The beef bacon was so good. Halal. Yummy. I also got caramelized onions and sautéed mushrooms. If you like cheese, this place splurges on real cheddar and swiss cheese slices. The pickle slices are perfectly tangy and crunchy. I love the coleslaw. It was crunchy and enjoyable. The fries were excellent. They were crispy and had the best masala seasoning. Even with the most garlicky mayo on top, these fries remained crispy from start to finish. I was impressed. This place has a decent selection of pop. I've tried a lot of drinks here. Diet Coke. Crush grape and cream soda. For an exotic change-up, I tried a Salaam Cola. It's yummy. It's got a milder cola taste than Coke or Pepsi. I liked the can's design. There were two gender-neutral washroom stalls. I used one when I got there and just before I left the eatery. It was clean and nicely maintained. It's an excellent burger joint. Its original location is in Scarborough. I'll need to visit it someday. In the meantime, it's nice that I can grab a burger for lunch when I'm in the office and be content. (65)

The burgers are amazing and one bite is all it took to remind me that they were just as good as I remember them to be last time I had it. I also added some alley fries and a salaam cola to the order this time, but I don't like the garlic sauce used for the fries though the seasoning is perfect. The burgers are hands down my favourite and I'm totally coming back often. I love that you can choose from so many different options and they've got multiple chicken burger options too.
