The drive-thru is between two buildings, with a roof to keep your car dry when it's snowing or raining. I approached the speaker. The guy with a young voice on the other end started the conversation. I stated my code. One word from him: What? Okay, either you are too young to have lost your hearing unless you listen to music at full blast with headphones, or you need to polish up on your customer service skills. How about, "I didn't catch that code. Can you please repeat it?" So, I bluntly restated my code, even using the international / NATO phonetic alphabet for the first two letters. If you are going to be a pill about things, I don't mind wasting your time to clearly get my code to you. He got it. I headed over to the window to pick up my food. I thanked the woman who gave me my bag of food and headed home. During the pandemic, McD's decided to remove poutine from the menu. Since it has returned, I crave it. It was yummy. It had lots of gravy. The cheese curds were too melted to figure out if they were actually cheese curds or melted mozzarella. The fries were yummy. I got a wooden fork for my poutine. I noticed that it has a drive-thru on the right side of the building when you're looking at the main doors. I had placed an order for a Whopper combo through the Burger King app. It was Whopper Wednesday, meaning that I could get this combo for $8.99 before taxes. My order consisted of these items: - Whopper - Onion rings - Medium fountain drink - Strawberry sundae I got an estimated pickup time. I specified that I was dining in. I also earned crowns (rewards points) towards free food and more. I walked in. It was spacious. It felt inviting here. It was fairly busy when I got here at roughly 4 pm. I saw the order pickup sign on the left and headed over there. Ordering in advance felt like I was in a VIP line. A helpful female staffer found my order with my name, but it was in a paper bag. She quickly fixed the issue by taking everything out and putting them on a tray. She then let me know that she's make my sundae. She exhibited excellent customer service. I appreciated her clear communication. While I waited for my sundae, I hit the drink machine and got a Diet Coke. I ended up refilling my cup twice. It wasn't enough to wash down all my food. Before I left, I refilled it. I got my tray with my food from her. I thanked her and headed to a table to chow down. I ended up in a corner. It was great. There was a man who was working on his laptop. I spent my time eating and uploading photos to Yelp. The Diet Coke was excellent. I put ice in my drink. It was refreshing and was much needed as I ate. I love the onion rings at Burger King. It no longer offers Half-sies, which gives you half fries and half onion rings. It's now onion rings all the way for me. They were crispy and yummy, with the sweet onion coming through. I loved my Whopper. Within the last year, the company has improved it for the better. The veggies were crisp and fresh. The bun held everything together. The beef patty was delicious. It was satisfying to devour. The strawberry sundae is my favourite dessert here. The vanilla soft serve with the strawberry sauce was so good. It's the real sliced strawberries in the sauce that make this sundae excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I used the washroom twice. The first time was shortly after I got my order. It's nice that you can put your tray down with food on a table and no one will swipe it. I used it again before I left. The women's washroom has two stalls. The door on the left has a tight, inflexible door hinge. It's a workout to use it, so beware. Otherwise, the washroom was clean and nicely maintained. I asked why food would be prepared so early especially when the order was placed only five minutes prior and they had no explanation. When I said I did not want cold food, I was told to request a refund through the Burger King app. I then asked for the order to be remade fresh. Instead, I was told I would need to drive back around, place a new order, and pay for it again, even though I was already at the window and the issue was entirely on their end. Between the cold food, refusal to correct the mistake, and dismissive attitude, this was an extremely poor experience. I will never return to this location again.
