    Breas & Hummus - complimentary
    Karchie T.

Came here on a Thursday evening and the place was a full house! They were able to fit us in for a 745 reservation an hour later. There's a shared parking lot in front of the restaurant that was full too Despite the parking situation, the food and ambiance made up for it! We ordered three dishes -- the lamb chops, seared salmon, and fried calamari. Everything was served at once, perfectly crisp, not too oily, not too salty. They were all really tasty and flavorful, and we left very full! We were surprised how full we got Would love to be back again once our wallets recover

First time there, the place looks nice, feels like I'm in Greece One impressive thing is that there are so many servers and bussers that I felt overwhelmed with the service. This is good Food was incredible the presentations and the flavors were right on see all pics.

I came here on a Wednesday evening and it was so busy! The service was really good, attentive and quick. They gave us complimentary bread with a spread (hummus maybe?) to start. I had the ikarus pasta (mushroom and chicken), it was pretty good. The portion was on the bigger side and I had leftovers for lunch the next day. The menu is on the pricier side - averages around $40+ per main. The restaurant is huge and well decorated. It looks like they can accommodate large family style seating in private rooms too.

I am a very big fan of this fantastic restaurant in Thornhill! It is so unassuming on the outside as it looks like a house that someone lives in, but it is a beautiful establishment. There are some private rooms and even an upstairs event area when you walk in, and then there is an elaborate dining area in the back where a bright pink tree stands along with curvy pillars and greenery. I have been here for dinner twice so far, and both times we received amazing service. The staff really try to make your experience comfortable! Some of my favourite dishes I have tried so far include the Moussaka, the pastas and Seafood Kebab. However, you really can't go wrong with any of the dishes. The pasta comes with a really big portion, and they load up on all the ingredients. I have also tried the Loukoumades for dessert and they are a delightful sweet bite to end the meal! The only thing that I would say is that I believe the servers prefer if you order an beverage along with your meal. I got a virgin mojito once which was very refreshing! Anyways, I highly recommend this place for celebrating a special event! Make sure to make a reservation online before coming.

Hidden gem in Thornhill! This Greek restaurant is located inside a home within a shopping plaza. We came here for a late Valentine's dinner and were able to snag a reservation at 6pm. It was busy on a Friday night with no empty tables in sight, with the exception of two private rooms that I believe are reserved for family gatherings and such. The restaurant's interior was beautiful. We were seated near the table with a cherry blossom tree hanging over. As for the food, they bring out a fresh loaf of bread with a salmon spread that is so delicious! I think this was the highlight of the meal. We ordered the chicken souvlaki and lamb chops. The chicken souvlaki came with Greek salad which tasted pretty standard. The souvlaki came with lemon potatoes, veggies and tzatziki sauce. The chicken was on the drier side so needed to dip in the sauce. I found this dish was a bit too salty. The portions were quite generous though for the price and ended up taking leftovers. Our server was friendly and checked in on us frequently throughout our meal. Stellar service! I wouldn't coming back to try other items on the menu. A great spot for a dinner date or celebration with family!

Looking for a beautiful fine dining elegant dining experience .. Santorini is the spot ! As soon as you walk in, It's very beautiful and welcoming! The staff is so friendly and quick. They sat us in the middle of the tree. The decor is absolutely beautiful! Definitely sets the mood at this place! Food: We started with a bunch of appies: Tzatziki fresh and deelish The taramosalata was 5/5!! Cucumbers yumm ! And pita fresh and deelish Saganaki opaaa what a cool experience! They literally burn cheese in front of you with ouzo and speinkle garnishes right after with the flame still going that was super fun to watch and everyone was watching!! Loved it! Main: I had their chicken brochettes with greek salad Cauliflower carrots and potatoes. Everything cooked fresh . The only thing was the chicken was slightly overcooked and on the dry end.. wished it was cooked less longer But other than that everything was flavourful and tasty The drinks were great I had their rosé sangria Very flavourful Overall, This spot is gorgeous, friendly easy to find and parking is free Definitely worth recommending and will probably come back again Cheers!

Santorini Estiatorio is the go-to classic Greek restaurant in Toronto--absolutely vibey with gorgeous decor and just the right touch of Greek music to set the mood. The moussaka is an absolute must-have--rich and flavorful. Definitely go for the octopus and grilled calamari. Tzatziki and hummus were some of the best I ever have. Authentic Greek cuisine and a welcoming service every time.

Came here spontaneously. My boyfriend loves Greek food so I decided to surprise him to a fancy Greek meal. We ordered the Greek fries, pork souvlaki and rack of lamb. We got started off with complimentary bread, and I was amazed at how big the loaf of bread was. The rack of lamb was cooked to perfection however, the chicken was a bit dry but overall tasty. The Greek fries were good though. The service was attentive and the manager or owner came by every table to ask how the food were! Overall great food and cute decor and great service.

Are you looking for a nice grown-up spot, for delicious but 'normal' food? Santorini is for you! A beautiful, quaint and intimate place, that is charming and sophisticated. Great for dinner parties, work colleagues or date night. I've been here for lunch and dinner, and both meals are great here! Atmosphere is more relaxed at lunch, and then becomes more romantic at the dinner seating. I always order the moussaka but the fish is also aces.

We came here on Saturday around mid afternoon for a birthday party, and we were surprised at how big inside the restaurant was. While we didn't stay inside, the decor inside is meant to mimic the Santorini experience overlooking the ocean. Outside, their patio was shaded by a tent, and there was plenty of spacing and tables available under shade. While it wasn't busy when we got there, the food was excellent and the ambiance great (inside and out). We started off with the appetizers - Kalamari, octopus, mussels, and the Greek salad. Bread was provided complimentary, served with a humus. All were fantastic, but I would say the mussels were the winner for us with its white wine sauce that was soaked up by the garlic bread it came with and the complimentary bread. Definitely a redo and could act as a main. For our actual mains, we had the garlic prawns and Australian lamb chops (done medium). Both were cooked to perfection and were seasoned well. I will say that portions of their dishes were a pleasant surprised and while the cost was high, you were definitely getting your money's worth. Service was great as well, as they were quite attentive and provided insight into the menu. Definitely a redo!

Santorini Estiatorio is a hidden gem in Thornhill. Although it has been in the location for a long time, surprisingly it is my first time to visit this little Greek restaurant. The environment and decor is not something fancy, but very comfortable and local. We ordered mussel to start, then grilled seabass, lamb chop and seafood pasta. I should say all the entrée are very authentic. Also portion is large and price is reasonable. Lots of family gathering group at that night. I am a little disappointed on the Baklava. It is not as good as Myth downtown. The other dessert Baklava ice cream is very special, and I recommend this over the Baklava. Definitely worth a try in the area.

It's the kind of space that encourages ordering a half litre of wine (their house versions are only $27) and easing into the evening. A basket of warm, crusty bread starts the meal, with our server snipping dried oregano right into the olive oil - a fragrant, rustic touch. A thick, zesty red pepper hummus also arrives for those who prefer a spread over a dip. Philoxenia offers calamari ($30.95) grilled or fried. The appetizer consists of two sizeable portions of squid with a rather tasteless "house sauce" (a seafood sauce and mayo concoction?) on the side. The calamari itself was fresh, though I wish the thicker end had been cooked slightly longer, since it bordered on gelatinous. Skip the house sauce and pair it with the roasted pepper hummus instead; it works surprisingly well. The lamb chops ($59.95) are the star: four beautifully grilled chops served with a thick smear of tzatziki, soft lemony potatoes, and simply sautéed vegetables (broccoli and green beans). For me, it's these minimally fussed-over dishes that makes for quintessential Greek dining. We added the grilled vegetables ($27.95) on the side, though there really wants a lot of vegetables. Think two thin slices of zucchini and eggplant, a single roasted carrot's worth, and a couple rings of grilled onion. What is there is delicious - drizzled with balsamic and sprinkled with feta - but for a dish centered around vegetables, I expected more. For vegetarians, a mound of rice and lemon potatoes help round it out into a decent main. One thing I genuinely appreciated about Philoxenia is they don't try to rush you. It's a restaurant that lets you linger, offering a leisurely meal in a quiet, spacious dining room with plenty of breathing room between tables... something that's increasingly rare in Toronto's newer, sardine-can-style restaurants. Philoxenia nails that cozy, unhurried Greek dining experience that makes you want to stay a little longer and sip a little more wine.

We started with the Philoxenia special appetizer -- a striking tower of thinly sliced zucchini, eggplant, and cheese, crisped to perfection. Paired with a cheesy dip, it was an irresistible combination of crunch and comfort. For mains, we ordered the beef mousakka and a Greek-style paella. The paella was a standout -- a flavor-packed dish loaded with mussels, shrimp, and calamari in a rich tomato sauce over tender orzo. Dessert came with table-side theatrics. Layers of phyllo for the baklava were heated in honey, then stacked with ice cream -- a creative and indulgent finale that built anticipation as we watched. Service was attentive without ever feeling overbearing. We felt genuinely well cared for throughout the evening. On our way out, we noticed a gorgeous garden-style patio at the entrance. Next time, we'll be requesting a table there for sure.

Additionally, they're very prompt with refilling water for you if your table orders glasses of water as well, indicating that they're extremely diligent. [Taramosalata] $7.00 - red fish roe blended with garlic, lemon juice, and extra virgin olive oil! Comes with grilled pita ~ This is extremely savory but in the best ways. I love getting this as a spread for a sandwich when I have leftovers. Do take note though, that this is a dish that has an extremely fishy flavor so be warned! I highly recommend you get it to share with others in the event that it's not your cup of tea, but for me, I'll happily devour this any day of the week. [Chicken Souvlaki on a Bun] $8.50 - chicken souvlaki pieces on a bun! Comes with tomatoes, and red onions so if you don't like either of those, ensure you ask them to omit it. It also comes with tzaziki on the bun as well. I love how flavorful the souvlaki is but sometimes, if I have leftover taramosalata, I will slather some of it onto the bun for an extra punch of flavor! HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF YOU LIKE GREEK FOOD :D
