    Gyro wrap
    Carmen W.

Sooo I got Ubereats here twice . The first time was amazing but second time not so much. Order : both times a gyro wrap and chicken Slovakia plate Price - pretty aligned with other Greek restaurant .. around $10 ish for wrap and the plate was around $20 Taste- first time - the wrap blew us away . It was very unique tasting as it had fries in it . Plate was ok but still good. The second time , both entrees were average . The fries in the wrap taste uncooked . Chicken was a bit dry too but the rice in the plate was so delicious though. .Overall prob a 3.5/5 but I will round up as it's still prob the best place to eat Greek in the Durham area!

On my previous visit, I was apparently only the fourth customer of this brand new establishment and it was obvious they were still working through a few kinks and getting used to all new things. I think they got it sorted out now. This visit went a lot smoother and the service was quicker. Pork Gyros is one of my favourite Greek dishes and these guys do it well, very well! They use layers of seasoned meat rather than ground meat. I had the wrap, which included onions, tzatziki, and fries. Yes, fries! I've heard this is the traditional way it's prepared in Greece. Yummy! I also had one stick each of pork and chicken souvlaki, with pita and tzatziki. This was also very delicious! Especially the tzatziki! If the logo and name seem familiar, the owner is the brother and former partner with The Greek Freak. This place, however, shares space (and more) with Mona's Roti, also new to Durham but with a proven track record and following in Scarborough. Check them out for delicious food!

Ordered two pitas for pick up and they were absolutely delicious. Big portions too. I will definitely be ordering from them again.

It was really hard to flag down our waitress as she never made eye contact towards our table, so my friend had an empty drink for 20min. The food was good once it came out though. Me and some family members were in the area, and decided to give it a try. We were greeted and seated promptly and then, for the longest time ... nothing. As it turned out, we'd spend a lot longer at this restaurant than we had anticipated. After about 20 minutes, a kind and apparently exhausted waitress appeared, so we ordered drinks and saganaki to start. 10 minutes later, our drinks appeared, and we ordered our main courses then. Although the menu gave prices for wine by the glass, half litre or bottle, we were told that they don't have enough wine to offer any more than a glass at a time. Strange, and unexpected. Eventually, the saganaki (Greek flaming cheese) arrived, and it was really, really good - a generous triangle of grilled, flaming cheese, easily split between the three of us. It was served with some odd bread, which resembled buttered and toasted hot dog or burger buns. This helped take the edge off our hunger as we waited for our main course. And waited. Looking at the time, I noticed that we had already spent over 60 minutes in the restaurant, which was extremely chilly on a cold winter's evening. Many customers, including us, wore their coats throughout the evening. Apparently, the restaurant dining area is heated only by two electric fire places. Our waitress came out and let us know that we had to wait because my daughter's order of octopus was taking a while. At this point, we had already committed to being here, so we had no choice but to see it through. Finally, the food came out. My daughter's octopus was, sadly, overcooked and tough, but still tasty, and the lemon roasted potatoes were excellent. My husband's roasted lamb did not seem like it was prepared as a roast, as there was no browning or roast] flavor, but seemed to have been prepared in a pressure cooker or slow cooker. I had ordered the Moussaka, and had high expectations, based on my memory of Milo's creamy, eggplant-filled, nicely seasoned Moussaka of my distant, long-ago previous visit. However, my portion of Moussaka had the oddest texture: rather mushy and grainy. The well-seasoned, savory tasting ground beef of my memories had now been transformed into a rather average-tasting ground beef mixture that would have been equally at home in a sloppy joe. And I could not find an eggplant in the casserole at all ... well, maybe it had somehow been reduced to such mushiness that it lost it's eggplant quality, but I could swear that it was missing. It was all edible food, though, but not up to our expectations. I hate to give any place a lowly, two-star review. I had hoped for much more, because there is so much about Milo's to raise one's hopes: it's not a big chain, but locally, family-run; it has an appealing and timeless Mediterranean decor; and the menu offers many interesting Greek choices. A few small changes would be an upgrade: better bread, some additional staff and a few space heaters would be a good start. Milo's is the type of restaurant that I would love to support, but I've read enough reviews with similar observations that I am unlikely to return.

Best Greek restaurant in Markham!…read more If you're craving authentic Greek food, I highly recommend Main St Greek. I come here often and plan to continuing dining here for yummy Greek food. Food: Classic Greek Salad (5/5) - fresh, tasty salad that's great to share. I love Greek salad in general and this hits the spot Saganaki (5/5) - flaming cheese! I don't love cheese too much but saganaki I'll eat for sure. Savoury cheese topped with a squeeze of lemon and pairs well with the complimentary garlic bread. Calamari (5/5) - Nice, large slices of fried calamari with a side of tzatziki. I can eat this for days! Pork souvlaki stick (5/5) - Well-seasoned pieces of pork on a stick and grilled to perfection! Comes with a side of tzatziki and tastes great! Service: - our server was very friendly and the staff too - food came out relatively quick - free underground parking btw *they also sell a small tub of their Greek salad dressing to take home

Came here with family on a weekday lunch and it was busyy. We got the calamari, souvlaki dinner, and gyros dinner. The calamari was the BEST I've ever had - it super tender! The portions for the souvlaki & gyros was so filling and salad came on the side. The potatoes were yummy but the meat was a tad too salty. They also gave us 2 baskets of garlic bread which was good when it's fresh but there was just so much food. Friendly and quick service.

While in line, someone suggested the souvlaki and I was already aiming to get a gyro so I knew we were gonna be good. Parking was busy but not impossible to find here. It's fast casual. You can get food, some extra desserts and drinks/coffee and extra pita/flatbread or tzatziki sauce. I got a gyro and a "small" poutine. Let me just say that I've had a LOT of gyros and this one was by far the best. Tons of meat, toppings, just enough tzatziki that I didn't want to order an extra side (still should've). The poutine was enough to feed a family of four. Holy smokes this was spectacular. I'd have gotten extra gravy bc it's so much tastier here in Canada than anyplace in the USA. Family owned, this is a great place to come alone or with friends. You can eat something different every single time and it's just so delicious. I will be back. My goal is to try more stuff every time I'm here but the gyro was perfection so who knows? Support small owned businesses!

This was one of the only places a guy that I was seeing when I was in my early twenties and I would go, late at night, when we knew we wouldn't catch anyone else we knew out. The food was predictable, always - and not in a bad way - it just hit the spot after a night of drinking, or when you are hungover. The salad will forever have too much dressing and will be the unhealthiest thing but the souvlaki here was honestly the most shocking thing. Mind you I have not been in six and a half or seven years so don't take my word for it, but for a place to be around this long and still have loyal customers - they're really doing something right, it's not just sheer luck so give it a go! There is zero ambiance or date night feel here, okay. Don't take your girl unless you've been married over ten years. It's boys or girls night out material only. haha
