Bad winter storm today so the Duchess and I couldn't get out for our anniversary dinner. We were going to go to the Greek Tycoon in Whitby because it was recommended by a friend. Instead we ordered souvlaki dinners for pick up from Mr Greek. Dinners were just ok but my Greek salad was almost totally inedible due to the lettuce being old, limp, and 75% brown. Been here a couple times over the past couple years and have had mixed reviews. The food is alright. Today got the pork souvlaki wrap and original chicken souvlaki. The wrap was good but chicken souvlaki wasn't. Chicken had a weird consistency felt kind of slimy and the salad was soggy. Portion sizes overall quite small given then it was a little over $30. Restaurant was empty with not much foot traffic. Wouldn't recommend this place to others and won't be back either. Edit: Potato's half of them had to been thrown away due to being hard and an off taste. Upset stomach after eating at this place. read more

Terrible! We came here for lunch after going to Home Depot to satisfy a Greek food craving. I wanted something fresh so opted for the new Zeus power bowl. My partner got the chicken pita. It took forever for the woman to take our order - I don't think she could hear us properly and we don't have quiet voices by any means. Not sure if the music is too loud or their plexiglass is too thick. Anyway, she took our order and told us it would take 15 mins. I walked out and came back in 20 minutes later and then waited at least another ten for our food to be ready. Given that we're in the midst of covid, we opted to take it home to eat. What a disappointment! The chicken in the pita was missing the fries that were advertised as being part of the meal and worst of all, the freaking chicken was undercooked!!!! Needless to say, that went straight into the garbage. The power bowl was decent but missing half of the ingredients that were advertised in the store. I don't get it....it's not that hard. Mr Greek( Pickering location) catered an event for me and did an outstanding job. There were 80 people at my party, and they thoroughly enjoyed the food, which was delivered hot and fresh. The associate who took my order guided me well, and the food estimate was accurate. Food was delivered punctually, at the agreed upon time. I am so pleased that I chose Mr Greek to cater my party, and would wholeheartedly recommend them. We had rice, potatoes, Greek salad and chicken souvalaki. Mmm, good. I like Greek food, especially gyros so I was excited to see Mr. Greek open not too far from my home. I stopped in for some takeout on my way home from work. The location is nice and bright, with high ceilings. The staff were friendly. I ordered the Original Traditional Gyro meal with rice, pita bread, and Greek salad. It was still warm when I got home but I have to say I was a little disappointed. The meat was kinda dry and the rice was a bit mushy. I wonder if dining in would have made a difference... read more

Tried to order for take out this evening. Ordered the food and the person at the cash repeated my order. We waited 25 minutes to find out that they had our order wrong. They wanted me to wait another 20 minute so they could make fix the order. When I said I couldn't wait and I just wanted a refund they got mad and said that they couldn't give me a refund. I had them call the owner and he authorized the refund. I watched the lady behind the counter take the food that was made incorrectly and put it back in the Open hot table. Even the salad was put back to be sold again. Will never go back to this place and caution others about this place. Why is it every time I order from this place they mess up my order??? They either forget items or take forever.

I came here for take out on a Friday night, and as expected it was a tad bit busy, which I didn't mind at first. Super friendly staff, but the service overall was a bit slow, there were only 2 people ahead of me and it still took about 30min to get our food. The food was honestly pretty delicious, We got the Vegetable Plate , Falafel Plate & the Classic Chicken Souvlaki Plate. My favourite sides were the potatoes, which is served in a delicious tomato sauce & the rice which was so yummy! Next time, I will definitely call ahead and place an order to save myself some time. Definitely a great option if you're in Pickering and have got a craving for Greek Cuisine. Heads up, it is a bit pricey though, just these 3 items on their own came out to $44 +tax read more

I ordered a meal for a celebration during these difficult times. Ordered their family special package. Order was $140.00. Meal arrived with just the meat and salad. No rice or potatoes. Called right away and informed them. No apologies just they would send them immediately. Called again after 30 minutes. Again no apologies just that they on it way. An hour later arrived. Our dinner was over. Was a big expense during these difficult times. Total disappointment! Left a message for the manager to call me. Never called back. Do not order from them. Went here for lunch today. Could only see one young girl working behind counter. She was masked up and gloves on so all looked good. Made our order and sat at a table to wait. Immediately saw Crumbs and sauce on table. Let girl know and she moved us to different table and cleaned the one we were sitting at. Ok so our food is ready and we started eating our lunch. When almost finished a young guy walks in and goes directly behind counter. No mask or gloves. After few minutes he puts on a mask and immediately pulls it down over nose and mouth and commences food prep. All the while moving around and talking to girl behind counter. Exposed food everywhere. And pretty sure no gloves. At that time we noticed floor was in need of cleaning as well. So we left and needless to say won't be returning which is too bad because we've always enjoyed this place. This is one of the smaller locations, so you order at the counter and they bring it to you when it is ready. Don't be in a hurry as they can be quite slow preparing the food, but it is good once you get it. They are never busy as it is an out of the way location and many people just get take out and don't eat in. I always get the pork souvlaki dinner and it is always good. You don't get your choice of bread like the larger locations, pita for everyone. My husband has tried the gyros and said they were good too. I wouldn't recommend the full meals if you are in a hurry, but if you have time they are a good option. The smaller take out options may be faster, but I haven't tried them. read more

Very rude and terrible customer service! I had placed an order over the phone for pick-up for my family's dinner. The girl who took my order's name was Elly. After bringing it home we noticed that they got portions of the order wrong. (One of which was that there was no dressing at all for 2 salads). I had called notify them about my order being incorrect however they were less than courteous. Elly had again picked up the phone and was talking to me about my concern. Although I live in pickering I was on my way out to drop off my kids off with their dinner and head to work. I did not have time to go back again to get my order fixed. The only thing they could offer me was a credit on the "sauce" for the next time. I did not receive an apology for the mistakes made to my order and was even told that they didn't make a mistake and that I should check my bag for my order again. I found this to be insulting. I would not be calling if the order was correct. At this point I was very displeased with how they were handling the situation. Why would I want to come back to a restaurant that does not even take accountability for a mistake that they had made. Just because they offered me a "sauce" for the next time I come in, doesn't rectify the situation. I had asked to speak with a manager to which Elly replied that she was the manager on. When I asked for the contact information for the general manager of the establishment and I was ignored. She said that she would just pass along my information. I was very frustrated that the next day I returned to the Pickering Mr Greek and returned the food that I had ordered. We did not touch the food and had opted to order delivery for my kids. I explained my situation to a lady working and she was very courteous and apologetic. I appreciated that she listened to my concerns and refunded me back my money. so much wasted potential. ordered (dry) gyros & grilled Vegs. carrots & zucchini mostly (blech), no tzatziki. used to be skewers with mushroom and pepper, this was cheap, boring & tossed out. the gyros was dry & came with "grilled veg", again, carrots? Placed an order for pick up, i asked for a beef souvlaki on a bun but for some reason that was not possible... so i got a chicken souvlaki on a bun, i asked for just lettuce, tzatziki and feta cheese which i was charged an extra $1 for. When i got home from picking up my order i was pretty upset cause they got my order all wrong... they gave me a chicken souvlaki on a bun with tomato and onions... which i did not ask for at all cause i hate onions and tomatoes (i know i'm picky) . Oh Mr. Greek Pickering. How I wish that you were more like your various sibling locations in Scarborough and Whitby. I have been to this location on a number of occasions and you consistently fall short of my expectations. We decided on Greek cuisine for a last minute birthday celebration and I placed an order for their Family feature dinner. I had called beforehand and wanted to order their Mezze meal which they had offered in the past however, they were no longer offering that special. The family dinner came with 8 souvlaki sticks, choice of 2 sides (we ordered rice and potatoes), pita bread, 4 cookies and a large "greek salad". The souvlaki sticks were skinny and quite dried out by the time we got home. The chicken was especially bad as it had the texture of jerky. The pork sticks were only slightly better. Potatoes were fine. Nothing to rave about but not exactly a standout either- luke warm in temperature. We also ordered a side spinach pie which was hard and dried out like it had been microwaved. I put "Greek salad" in quotations because it was truly terrible. The lettuce was shredded. The type of lettuce that you would expect in a wrap or on a burger, not a Greek salad. Due to this, it was a soggy mess. There were only 2 olives in the whole thing (it was a dinner for 4) and the tomatoes were barely edible due to the inedible core in the slices. I've been to many different Greek restaurants before, it's my favourite type of food, I was shocked at the price and quality of Mr.Greek in Pickering. The meal came to $32 and all we got was a Greek salad with one small piece of souvlaki, and 2 souvlaki pitas. The pitas had nothing to them, 2 pieces of tomatoes and a few onions, the souvlaki was so small a child would be hungry after eating it. My salad was dripping in dressing, to the point that I could not consume the bottom as every piece of lettuce was dripping with dressing. The souvlaki reminded me of Marc Angelos package meat, not authentic at all and I guarantee everything was pre cooked. The restaurant was bare no one was in there and I went at 1pm. It won't be long till this restaurant closes. I will stick to Jimmy the Greek, and Milos Greek in Pickering. So many regrets I have not going to one of those places today for lunch, I'm currently eating chips and dip as I left starving. Total rip off!! read more

First off I love Mr Greek. I grew up off the Danforth and fell in love with their souvlaki. I eat it all the time. I anxiously awaited its opening in Pickering as I live there. Ive been there several times and I dont think i will be going back anytime soon. Prices seem a bit higher than other franchises (eg the one in Aurora) but they often get the order wrong (during take out) and cannot seem to get the orders done efficiently. I took a group of 8 their recently and it was over 15 minutes from the time the first person was served till the last. Last time I was there, they forgot to give me my order of Greek salad so I had to go back. They also will not offer kids combos (I have 3 young kids) Today I approached them to seek a donation for a local children's charitable cause I volunteer with and the manager a) would not take my call, b) said to whoever I was talking with "tell him no and not to call back".
