    Queen Chicken Wrap

After a game of pickleball nearby, we stopped by Shawarma Royale for a quick bite. The place has a cozy yet spacious vibe, and I appreciated the open counter where you can see your food being prepared--it adds a nice touch of transparency. We were lucky enough to meet the owner, who personally helped with our order since the cashier was busy assisting a family. The service was absolutely fantastic, making the visit even more enjoyable. We went with the Queen Chicken Wrap Lunch Special, and it did not disappoint! The wrap was packed with flavour--filling, savoury, and so tasty that I was tempted to go back for seconds. The care and skill the owner put into preparing it really stood out. Overall, Shawarma Royale is a great spot to satisfy your shawarma cravings. Highly recommended!

First time coming here, got the Queen Lamb wrap. The size is smaller than other places and the wrap itself a little tough but the taste of the wrap was good. Would give it another go based of taste alone.

We were looking for a local Middle Eastern restaurant to try some shawarmas. We stumbled upon this restaurant located in a plaza close to the Home Depot. We had a coupon 2 can dine Queen wraps for $19.99 which included a large serving of fries and 2 drinks. The place was not busy when we arrived to order takeout however the turn around time for the orders was way too long. Most likely the business is running on skeleton staff or unable to fill kitchen help positions. The wraps were delicious and the bread they use is made in house. You can taste the difference between grocery store pita. The chicken was seasoned well and the garlic sauce was just right. Fries were similar to Costco so nothing to write home about. They did give us a garlic dipping sauce which is most likely for the wrap. I would come back again to try other wraps on the menu. Follow me on IG whenhungerstrikes17

Wow! We saw this place tucked in behind the Perkins on Hwy 2 and have wanted to try it for a while. My husband loves shawarma but I've never really been into it. When we received coupons in the mail we thought we'd pop over and give it a go. We ordered the family meal (yes, there's only two of us... no judgement please) and it came with four shawarma wraps, sauces, fries, pickled turnip and peppers and a side of coleslaw (not in the picture). First of all, I have to say, their coleslaw is AMAZING as are their fries. The wraps were also very tasty and just having the molasses sauce to drizzle over them took it to the next level. We enjoyed our meal so much that we did a repeat the following weekend. Absolutely stellar. I am now a shawarma fan!! This past weekend we opted for the lamb shawarma wrap. It was also very tasty however, it didn't seem to agree with either of us later that evening. I will likely stick with the chicken from now on. There's quite a bit on their menu so we will a lot to work through. I can see this place quickly becoming a favourite of ours.

I finally made it to Shawarma Royale in Pickering and it was well worth the wait! The interior felt a lot more spacious that it appears from outside. It was also nice and clean. Everything on their menu looked good but I chose their Chicken Shawarma dinner. It was a generous serving of delicious flavours and colours. Sadly, however, it got bounced around on the way home and didn't end up being very camera ready. It tasted great though! The service was very friendly and accommodating. I'll be back!

This place is a waking nightmare. The only "royale" part of this all was the royal f--- up they did on my order. I ordered for delivery from UberEats. There was no miscommunication here as ordering through the app, you have to clearly specify sides and what meat you selected. I ordered a "lamb on the rice or fries" with fries. This came with rice. Not great but not the worst. I also ordered a "chicken on the rice or fries" with rice. NO CHICKEN WAS INCLUDED!!!! Egregious. I also ordered a side of Hummus and Motabbal which was $4.99. Apparently they were out of hummus (yes at a shawarma place they were out of hummus) and decided to sub us 3 cans of pop. They indicated this with a written note. They could have easily contacted us but they just wanted to scrape what little money they could from this order. They even managed to screw the pooch on their own written note and only gave us 2 pops...would you pay $5 for 2 cans of pop anywhere in the GTA? There's lots of shawarma and kabob type places in the area. Don't give your business to this abysmal excuse for a restaurant.

The size of that next "hunk" of chicken shawarma!

Came here for the first time Wednesday night for takeout after receiving coupons in the mail. From placing order till walking out was only about 10min: ordered the Chicken Shawarma Platter and a falafel wrap, EVERYTHING was delicious! Hubby had multiple helpings plus lunch the next day! Crispy fries, tasty chicken shawarma, falafel was tasty and fresh! Looking forward to our next meal from here!

This was my first time visiting shawarma royale and it won't be the last. I went on a Tuesday to take advantage of their chicken on rice deal for $9.99. The portion was large, the chicken was flavourful, and the price was right. I think i found my new shawarma place.

Although…read morethere are signs on the sides of the tiny building and on the door, it could easily be mistaken for the service entrance to one of the other two businesses occupying the building. Despite my reservations, I entered and walked into a tiny space that actually had seating for 6-8 diners. The really odd thing about this place, it has no windows! There was a very young fellow taking orders at the cash and two adults who I'm going to assume were his parents. I was the only guest at the time and I was looking over their menu on the wall above the counter, deciding what to order. None of them offered any suggestions and actually didn't say anything unless I asked a question, you know, like "What do you recommend?" Silence. No points for customer service. Noticing the two vertical rotisseries, I ordered the dinner plate to go, which included a choice of beef or chicken shawarma, rice, potatoes, and salad. I chose the large size for 11.99. The medium was 9.99. No price shown for small. It ended up being a lot of food crammed into a styrofoam box. And then he asked me if it was "for here or to go?" It was already in a takeout box! I had no desire to sit and eat in this tiny little closet. Anyway, there really was a lot of food stuffed into the box. The salad was delicious. I'm not sure what all the components were but it tasted really good. The fries had gotten a bit soggy but they were still okay. The rice was tasty and plentiful. I had gotten a combination of beef and chicken shawarma and both tasted good but the serving was a bit small compared to all the sides, making it not so great value for the price. But it did taste good. If the atmosphere and customer service were more inviting, I would probably go back but there are too many other places to consider.

It's not exactly the type of place you'd take someone for a date, though. I ordered the Crown Combo for $9.99 + tax. Barg Wrap (Steak) Shawarma Plate…read more We stopped in today and ordered take out for lunch, after a friend had recommended this place to us. We spoke with the hostess and she was an absolute sweetheart. We did not know they have been around since 2008! However, there is new ownership this last year. I must say there's a reason people are recommending the food. There is free parking in behind the restaurant. The interior is cozy and has tables for dining in. We opted for a wrap and a plate; splitting both. The plate was loaded with rice, garlic sauce, hummus and lots of chicken shawarma. Topped with another sauce, this was the perfect combo. The meat was juicy and flavorful. There were multiple dressings to choose from for the salad. The Barg wrap was a steak wrap and my hubby commented on how tender the meat was. The wrap was an ok size and was a nice mix of veggies. All in all we had a solid experience and will definitely be back to try more of their menu.

I never order the shawarma but he swears it's the best he's ever had. I opted for their barg because it's always been fantastic. Not so much this time. The meat was so over-cooked that it was actually difficult or eat. The salad and rice were great but the meat was like boot leather. Apparently the shawarma tasted as good as it always has however, my when husband dug deep into the rice and put a big fork full into his mouth, he chomped down on a rather large piece of crumpled up aluminum foil. For the life of us, we can figure out where it came from since the food was in styrofoam containers and the only other thing we were given were plastic utensils and napkins. Although my husband thoroughly enjoyed his shawarma (sans foil), I was rather disappointed with my dish. I guess if there's a next time, I'll go for the shawarma too.

They made big mistake with my order but they were great at owning up to it and showed exemplary service in doing so. They got the grape vine wraps which goes great with fries. I will go back just for this. Keep in mind shawarma on weekdays may not be freshly grilled but kept in containers they scoop out of, or regrilled. But the beef shawarma good either way. Sauces for sharwarma in addition to regular sauces they have there is also a yogurt like sauce addition that give great taste. But all the side toppings does lean toward the saltier side. I'd recommend asking to replace all with rice. Lettuce on weekday seems a bit old, brown and yellow spots... try to go on weekends Eggplant dip bought separately tasted sadly underwelming but might be a thing for some people. I had much tastier eggplant dips especially the canned ones. Theirs seems home made. Their food is decent 3/5 and service 4/5. You will feel people working there cares, unlike Made in Mexico on main st new location in my recent trip. For competing sharwarma there is always Sharwarma Land on Yonge st to try around ten min drive south. The lack of fresh veggies and meat on weekdays sadly lowers rating.

It was 5 pm and I was looking for a place to get some takeout for dinner. I looked at my Uber Eats app and saw a BOGO deal at Shawarma Royale. I went ahead and ordered two chicken shawarma on rice meals. The app said that it would take between five to fifteen minutes. My order was ready in less than ten minutes. Insane! There's plenty of parking in this plaza. It does get busy with a lot of impatient folks who enjoy leaning on their car's horns. Ignore them, find a spot, and park. I did and walked into the eatery. It looks pretty new. It was spacious and so pretty. I loved the flowers on fake verandas. I want a fake veranda now! There were two men handling food behind the counter. I showed one of them my Uber Eats order number from my phone (I love this feature, which makes it so easy compared to digging up the number in the past and rattling it off). He saw it, looked at the bag on the counter, and handed it over. I wished him a great day. He reciprocated. I left happy with my bundle of food happiness. This restaurant has daily specials. They look good both from yummy and price perspectives. I drove home and had one of the meals. I'll be having the other for dinner tonight. The meals come in styrofoam boxes. They aren't packed full. If you are the type who expects a full box of food, you may be sad. However, I liked it being 75% full, especially when it comes to rice. I normally like salad over rice, so less rice is more for me. I'm avoiding a full-blown carb coma here. It's more like a mild slumber. The rice was good. It was a bit bland, but the chicken, garlic sauce, and tahini make up for it. The chicken was tender and mildly seasoned. It could use more charring, but it wasn't horrible. I loved the garlic sauce and tahini. You could taste the garlic, although I could probably go stronger. My garlicky breath wasn't enough to make others around me run for the hills, but it was there that they'd still want to hang out with me. The tahini was so creamy and yummy. The place has Barbican beverages. I was tempted to get one, but I had purchased a bunch of drinks earlier than I didn't need any more. I want the shawarma poutine. The photo looked good that I hope that the real deal is similar. It's a decent additional to a plaza with a Chick N Joy and McDonald's. I'd return for more when I'm in the area again. (109)
