The chicken was dry, the potatoes were hard, the rice had this buttery taste and their version of the white garlic sauce was something out of a ranch salad dressing bottle. The potatoes are okay but a little on the dry side. The chicken shawarma and lamb shish kebab came with a generous amount of meat and we were happy. The meals came with a hot sauce (small size) and a white creamy sauce (big size). I enjoyed the sauce but we ended up squeezing some lemon juice on our lamb to minimize the gamey taste. I've had two terrible chicken shawarmas in Scarborough that were so damn dry that I've been dreaming of this platter at Laziza on Bloor near Dovercourt. The chicken is always so juicy and full of flavour. And the portions are always enough for 3 meals for me. And the rainbow colours of the veggies always brings me joy to look at! I ordered a Boss Box of mixed shawarma (chicken, beef) on a bed of salad (since not eating grains) and the garlic and tahini sauce. When he squeezed it on, it appeared very watery, so it let me to believe this is probably the same sauce used for coleslaw (which was an option). The size of the portion us AWESOME. The box is huge. The chicken and beef were dry, though with enough of that sauce on in, it made it palatable. Overall is was decent, the Boss Box size is worth a visit.

I may need to get a side order of them next time. They had the perfect garlic-to-potato ratio. What surprised me the most was the baklava. It was divine. It was pure perfection and is probably the best that I have ever had. It was flaky with a lot of chopped pistachios and a touch of honey that didn't make this dessert super sweet. I am salivating. Yes, an odd comparison but I noticed the similarity in size when my dog was begging me for a bite. You can get chicken, beef, or mixed as a choice for any shawarma order. They were very generous with the meat and with the sauce which is key and very tasty, especially the garlic sauce. The best bites were really the ones that had a bit of everything - sauce, veggies, and meat. One of the combos that we got came with a side of fries.
