Combo #8, no rice.
Ri H.

Overall decent place. Friendly and clean and tasty. I got a skewer or chicken and a skewer of steak, combo #8. It's was $18. Bit on the high side. What blew me away is when I asked for some hummus on the plate.. Wanted to charge extra. I wasn't sure how good their hot sauce was or how spicey it was so I asked if I could have it on the side, also an extra charge. Tahini and hot sauce are free on the meat but extra if you get them on the side. That's just wrong. Love the half grilled tomato they give you. Salad is all lettuce, 3 tiny slivers of tomato and cucumber the rest is all lettuce and onions. If you get a glass of water it's 6-oz cup. You literally have to get up 3 times to get the same amount of water you would at any other establishment. They run off a bare bones model. If I ordered what I expected, I would have paid extra for Tahini, extra for hot sauce, extra for hummus (in tiny container), and would have to buy water as the tap water they provide is ridiculous. This would have costed me over $22 dollars. Bit ridiculous considering your eating in to go containers and plastic cutlery. Could easily go to a 5 star, with these few changes : - chicken a bit dry, grill it a bit less - serve on a real plate, real cutlery - don't be cheap with sauces, salad ingredients, and water amounts.

Great food although lately the chicken hasn't been As flavourful as in the past. Portion size is good for what you pay and the rice is tasty. The other dishes like kafta are great as well. A few complaints - they get very busy and sometimes run out or have a long wait. Also they tend to go back home during holidays and close the store for 2 weeks at a time - very frustrating

When you open the door you are greeted with a delicious smell of Persian spices. I've tried the Kabobs and Shwarma, both are excellent!

This is a bit of an odd place. It's located at what appears to be the back of a building. Although…read morethere are signs on the sides of the tiny building and on the door, it could easily be mistaken for the service entrance to one of the other two businesses occupying the building. Despite my reservations, I entered and walked into a tiny space that actually had seating for 6-8 diners. The really odd thing about this place, it has no windows! There was a very young fellow taking orders at the cash and two adults who I'm going to assume were his parents. I was the only guest at the time and I was looking over their menu on the wall above the counter, deciding what to order. None of them offered any suggestions and actually didn't say anything unless I asked a question, you know, like "What do you recommend?" Silence. No points for customer service. Noticing the two vertical rotisseries, I ordered the dinner plate to go, which included a choice of beef or chicken shawarma, rice, potatoes, and salad. I chose the large size for 11.99. The medium was 9.99. No price shown for small. It ended up being a lot of food crammed into a styrofoam box. And then he asked me if it was "for here or to go?" It was already in a takeout box! I had no desire to sit and eat in this tiny little closet. Anyway, there really was a lot of food stuffed into the box. The salad was delicious. I'm not sure what all the components were but it tasted really good. The fries had gotten a bit soggy but they were still okay. The rice was tasty and plentiful. I had gotten a combination of beef and chicken shawarma and both tasted good but the serving was a bit small compared to all the sides, making it not so great value for the price. But it did taste good. If the atmosphere and customer service were more inviting, I would probably go back but there are too many other places to consider.

This place is small and not the most visually appealing, but the food is pretty good! There are a…read morefew seats, but most people coming in here do take out. It's not exactly the type of place you'd take someone for a date, though. I ordered the Crown Combo for $9.99 + tax. I inhaled the shawarma (well-seasoned meat!), and couldn't stop eating the garlic fries despite them being a little on the soggy side. I'd come back. :)

11am weekday ordered $70 of stuff 3 entrees and some other stuff…read more Beef Shawarma I'd say is best among the shawarma's and other stuff. They made big mistake with my order but they were great at owning up to it and showed exemplary service in doing so. They got the grape vine wraps which goes great with fries. I will go back just for this. Keep in mind shawarma on weekdays may not be freshly grilled but kept in containers they scoop out of, or regrilled. But the beef shawarma good either way. Sauces for sharwarma in addition to regular sauces they have there is also a yogurt like sauce addition that give great taste. But all the side toppings does lean toward the saltier side. I'd recommend asking to replace all with rice. Lettuce on weekday seems a bit old, brown and yellow spots... try to go on weekends Eggplant dip bought separately tasted sadly underwelming but might be a thing for some people. I had much tastier eggplant dips especially the canned ones. Theirs seems home made. Their food is decent 3/5 and service 4/5. You will feel people working there cares, unlike Made in Mexico on main st new location in my recent trip. For competing sharwarma there is always Sharwarma Land on Yonge st to try around ten min drive south. The lack of fresh veggies and meat on weekdays sadly lowers rating.

We ordered mix shawarma plate and one kafta dinner which came with a drink and pita. It put me off as soon as I took the first bite . Non of us liked the food and the sweet dressing on the dinner . Disappointing.
