The inside of the restaurant is not too small and not too big where you feel like you don't matter. Very clean inside. This was hands down one of the best meals I've had. The chicken shawarma pita is perfectly toasted with grilled chicken and veggies inside. The spice mix was delicious and not overwhelming. The falafel is perfectly crispy on the outside, and moist on the inside without drying out. 5 stars.

The food was really good, the staff were really hospitable, the portions were beyond generous, and the building seemed clean and friendly to eat in. I got the Mixed Meat platter and it kept surprising me with hidden layers of meat and a wonderful sauce and sauted veggies underneath. The rice is tasty and cooked properly. GF got the Falafel Plate and really liked it but did mention that the hummus could have used more garlic. It seems that they were using Parsley in most things and not Cilantro, which we personally appreciated. Will be back. read more

We love this place. Have ordered takeout from here many times and it's a favorite of the kids and guests! The food is amazing and has never disappointed. Authentic middle eastern food served by friendly staff. Orders are always quick and have a minimal wait. I highly recommend this hidden gem! Found this place by sheer luck during a weekend getaway to New York. The owner had just opened up and greeted us with a warm welcome. He was so friendly and hospitable he even shared a little bit of his Syrian background with us. Since it was too early for lunch, the owner offered us traditional middle eastern style breakfast. We ordered a nice spread of options which included falafel, fettat hummus, baba ghanouj, as well as some other middle eastern dishes. The food tasted great and the portion sizes were plenty! Prices are very reasonable compared to other Middle Eastern restaurants. Everything was so delicious that I forgot to take any decent pictures to share. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience and I highly recommend visiting Falafel Aleppo! read more

What can I say? Falafel Aleppo has changed my life. The restaurant was immaculately clean and smelled like cleaner (LOVE). I placed an order at the counter and was told 15 minutes, but it only took about 10! I got the chicken Schwarma platter and boy, was it amazing. The house salad had a variety of perfectly thin veggies, the chicken was tender and juicy, the rice...THE RICE was life changing. Buttery soft and had a delicious fragrant taste to it. read more

This place is unassuming but, oh man, the food never misses! I've tried the kibbeh and a couple of the dips--all very good--but that felafel! Wow! I've never had another like it! It is light and fluffy and wonderfully crispy. The seasonings do it for me, though! I believe there is coriander seed in the felafel, which makes for an exciting, extra flavorful bite every so often. Definitely worth stopping by if you are in the area! read more

We ordered take out through Yelp/ GrubHub. We highly recommend the baked stuffed kibbeh, hummus tahini plate, the gyro pita, and the rice and salad with falafel. The spices and flavors were fantastic. The humus tahini was very creamy with great depth of flavor. Service was fast and accurate. We stopped here because we had noticed that it was a new restaurant that it opened. I knew that I would love the food but I dragged my son and my husband in as well. Everything was delicious. We had a little bit of everything like the chicken Shawarma sandwich ,Tabouli salad ,chicken and we topped it off with a plate that had everything on it so that we could try everything. Everybody there was very friendly and my son and husband left believers that this was some great food. And before we knew what the food was gone and we forgot to take a picture. So good every time I eat here I'm so happy. Their homemade garlic sauce is out of this world! I've tried 4items so far; their schwarmas which have pickles vs the pickled turnip I was familiar with. Earlier this year I heard that they were once again open for lunch on Saturdays, and I've been there twice since then. As I mentioned, the food has always been good; pitas generally come with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles (middle-eastern), and tzatziki sauce, along with your protein of choice. I've had the chicken shawarma, the gyro, the kofta and the falafel; all were good. Today, I noticed that there is also an "eggplant pita" on the menu. Eggplants are a fairly common element in middle-eastern cooking, often sliced and grilled or roasted, sometimes battered, but often not. Sounded like a good idea? No, it was not.. What I got, instead of eggplant slices was just COLD baba ghanoush! Put on top of lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and a ladleful of rather runny tzatziki sauce, and what you ended up with was one COLD, SOGGY and WET mess inside a pita. It was dreadful, PLUS it made an unholy mess dripping all over everything! How can they call this an "eggplant pita" when it's just a cold baba ghanoush salad with runny dressing stuffed into a pita which can't handle that amount of liquid? BEWARE OF ORDERING THIS PITA!!!!!!

We were immediately seated at the bench seating against the wall to the right when you walk in. We both would've preferred one of the booths but they were all full. That is the one thing about Sinbad's again it's not a big restaurant and there is no privacy. The food and service do make up for it. And then our waitress came to the table and took our drink & appetizer orders. Then she came back a few minutes later with our waters and my glass of Pinot Grigio & lentil soup which is delicious he got it but he shared it with me. I ordered the Cabbage rolls ( Malouf) and they were delicious it also came with a Greek salad that was also good. He got the vegetarian plate which I liked too and we shared our meals with each other. The waitress was very nice and happy the food was great. We will be back another time.

In fact I bought five of them! One dollar each! Unfortunately the other review (hi sock puppet Alex!) is a little out of date because they no longer serve kebabs here. However, they filled in the wall and sold the kebab business to another Turkish family, it's now named As Evi and is separate, and the Halal people kindly pointed me to go over there and get my food. Which I thought was really lovely of them. After dinner, I went back to the Halal Market and picked up my five different Turkish sodas. In fact I'm going to go and grab one right now because I'm pretty thirsty. One of the best ethnic grocery stores in town, cheap prices, friendly people, great products, and people having sex in the back room. And they don't mind if you walk in on them. They just turn around and say "Halal!" and then they go right back to doing the wild thing - Istanbul style. If you come here on a boat, by the way, make sure you put down the Ankara in Lake Ontario.

Also opting in for the lamb chops, I found these to be perfectly grilled and incredibly tender. These were grilled closer to a medium-well, but still remained juicy and packed full of flavor. We found our server and the kitchen employee (perhaps the owner) to be pleasant and full of hospitality. This small-from-the-outside restaurant blew us away and we enjoyed everything we had. First and foremost, I have to call out their drink menu - while ultimately we came to enjoy a nice dinner, their cocktails were by far the biggest star of the show, with our entrees trailing very closely behind. If you like to partake in alcoholic beverages, I can say without a doubt these are the best cocktails I've had in Rochester, let alone all of Western NY, and this is even put up against drinks from the likes of Cure, Bitter Honey, and Avvino. I don't know if the bartender is just using higher quality spirits as a result of REDD being an upscale restaurant, but the "Burn after Reading", "Wise Guy", and Manhattan are some of the smoothest, most delicious, multi-noted drinks I've had in my entire life. If I don't come back for the food, I will absolutely be back for the drinks, because my goodness, abso-freaking-lutely phenomenal. My friends and I still talk about them now even weeks later. For our entrees we had the NY strip steak, grilled chicken, and a poached salmon, and every single piece of protein was cooked just perfectly. The steak was a beautiful warm medium rare, the chicken was glistening with succulent juiciness, and the poached salmon which I had for my main is one of the softest pieces of fish I've had in my life. It beautifully flaked away on a bed of potato puree and extremely well herbed and seasoned home fry-like potatoes that were ever-so-slightly just-undercooked intentionally to act as a perfect foil to the gorgeously soft puree and salmon itself. If I were to knock anything at all, the winter squash, turnip, and green vegetable medley that came with the chicken and steak was unfortunately far too undercooked for my liking, almost to the point of being completely raw, and while I appreciate letting vegetables sing and respect the beauty of raw, fresh vegetables, I was hoping for a little bit more of chef-y flair, seasoning, or even cooking of them. Besides that, the wait staff was simply top tier and were extremely inviting throughout the entire evening. We felt taken care of and checked up on often and they were the utmost professional. The only thing that was a true negative was the desserts -- if there's one thing I would NEVER order at REDD again, unfortunately our dessert missed the mark entirely. My best guess is due to lack of a pastry chef, but our chocolate tart was muddy and flavorless, not even tasting of chocolate, and the two homemade ice creams we tried - chocolate, and oatmeal followed in suit. We ultimately wrapped up at REDD but then ran down to Char Steak & Grill at the Strathallan for what ended up being a phenomenal dessert experience there. But overall, I have to say - I will definitely be back! The entrees were awesome, the cocktails were life-changing, and the ambience and wait staff were without fault.
