It's good value for the portions received. Everything is delicious and cooked to perfection. The staff are also very welcoming. If you order in-restaurant, do be prepared to wait about 20+ minutes as everything is cooked fresh (another bonus). I didn't mind the wait, but you can also order in advance online if you're strapped for time. Either way, I highly recommend the Greek Freak and will be a returning customer.

The pork soulvaki was quite dry and hard to chew on. Bf liked the gyro, it was only alright for me. The Pita bread was really thick and tasted very dough like. Greek salad was probably the best. I could only finish the meal by making a Pita soulvaki sandwich as it was way to salty to eat otherwise. My rating would probably be higher if the meal wasn't so salty/soggy. Both Gyro meal Pork soulvaki meal was $18.50 each before tax. Rating 2.5. Likely will not return.

This place is a gem, and seeing the number of take out orders leaving, I'm not the only one who thinks so! We had the dip trip for a starter. The tzatziki and tirokafteri were especially delicious. My husband got a pork dinner plate and I got a lamb gyro pita. We were in and out in less than 15 minutes with hot tasty food. My husband wasn't thrilled with his pork, I think it might have been a bit dry. My sandwich was wonderful - they throw a few fries into the sandwich which kicks it up a notch imo. I really really enjoyed the lamb, its not often you see it offered and the meat was absolutely perfect, spiced just right and it really came together. I look forward to trying more from Snuffy's in the future! We'll be back!

A Wonderful Surprise at A Tavola in Whitby!…read more I hadn't been back to A Tavola in almost 10 years--ever since becoming vegan--because I assumed there wouldn't be much on the menu for me. Last night, my friends and I decided to go anyway, knowing the quality was always great... and I'm so glad we did! To my surprise and delight, Chef Vito let us know that all of their pastas are vegan and he could easily modify the sauces to suit my diet. The food was absolutely delicious--it tasted just like the meals I had in Italy. The quality, attention to detail, and service were even better than I remembered. I started with the fennel and orange salad, followed by a beautifully adapted pasta dish, and every bite was perfection. We left so happy that we chose to support a locally owned restaurant instead of a corporate chain. It's such a joy to celebrate the small businesses in our community that truly care about their craft. We'll definitely be back!

Not impressed by first visit…read more Went with a group of 9 for lunch. We had a reservation. We were not the only group, but I believe, the largest. One server in the entire restaurant, and he was also the bartender. Too much for only one person to be able to manage. By the time half of us were able to place our drink orders, the other half had already ordered and been served their drinks. Caesars were mostly ice, with very little "Caesar". Two of us were excited to order liver, bacon, and onions as we rarely see it on menus. Plates arrived with liver, (garlic?) mashed potatoes, one piece of broccoli, one piece of cauliflower, and extremely undercooked carrots that neither of us could eat as they were so hard. There was only a very passing acquantance with onions, with only a couple of visible bits of onion in the gravy on my plate. Both plates were delivered with steak knives. My slices were very thin and extremely tough. When you can barely manage to cut through a thin piece of liver with a steak knife, that's a problem. The woman beside me, who had also ordered liver, thoughly enjoyed hers, and said it was tender and delicious. I will agree with "delicious", as I couldn't fault the flavour. Mine, however, was far from being tender. I had to fight to cut through it, even with the steak knife. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meal.
