I had the pleasure of dining here for dinner with a friend in October. I had wanted to try the place but never had the opportunity. This place is a gem, and seeing the number of take out orders leaving, I'm not the only one who thinks so! We had the dip trip for a starter. The tzatziki and tirokafteri were especially delicious. I also had the Chicken Souvlaki Dinner. The chicken was perfectly cooked, the potatoes were amazing. Their Greek salad dressing is also extremely good. It's been a while since I had Greek food so my expectations were non-existent and this place definitely rekindled my relationship with the cuisine again. I went here with family when we were in a Cobourg for a weekend trip. This place is small and situated right on the downtown Main Street. We had to wait 20 mins for a table cuz we can right during dinner on a Friday night. I find the place quite homey actually and I think it's a family owned restaurant. What a local gem! We ordered quite a lot from the menu. We shared humus and calamari for appetizers. Those pita bread though, on crack! Warm soft and seasoned right. The humus had good texture, wasn't grainy, smooth and the calamari was crisp. I ordered the chicken gyro on a plate. Noms that chicken and the potatoes. Double carbs with rice and I'm not complaining. Both carbs were tasty with the chicken. I definitely enjoyed eating here with my family on a family restaurant. read more

Friendly, fast service and delicious food! My wife and I tried the moussaka. Authentic Greek food.

Came here for lunch with a group of four and none of us were disappointed. It's a small place right in downtown Cobourg, so it's easy to miss, but that would be a shame, because the food is really good, especially for the prices. As the name implies, the theme is Greek Islands. The menu is pretty simple with mostly the regular items, but they do a really good job with them and keep the prices reasonable. We ordered a souvlaki lunch one chicken and one pork skewer, plate was large and came with rice and potatoes and garlic buttered pita bread. Waiter was a very nice and helpful lady. Food tasted authentic (but coming from someone who's not Greek) and spiced well. We also ordered a smapler dipping plater with hummus and other dipping things. Pita was plentiful. Cooks in the back had music going and the place smelled great of greek food. Atmosphere was homely and felt European almost.. Baklava for dessert summed up a great lunch at a place we randomly saw while road tripping through the area. Would return if living in the area and definitely recommend read more

This was surprisingly good. We looked it up on yelp and based on the reviews we were not disappointed. We had a fantastic meal and ended up with leftovers to take home for the next day because the portions were so large. We started with the cheese saganaki which was super delicious then followed it up with the gyros dinner and my husband had the chicken schnitzel that was on special. Both dinners were very good, and the tzatziki sauce was to die for and his chicken was cooked so ever tenderly. Last but not least, our waitress Alex was spectacular. I went here last night for dinner, the purity of the food is amazing. Simple ingredients to cook to perfection. Honestly after you've eaten here I don't know why you would want to go to a fast food restaurant. Other than for the convenience I guess? You can get skewers of souvlaki on the road here for what you pay for a crappy hamburger. It was delicious! The waitress working there was really attentive and really sweet. Stopped through here during a road trip. Small place so probably not good for large groups. Tried the pork and chicken combo souvlaki (skewers). The chicken was super tender and everything was seasoned well. Good size, good price. Saved room for dessert at some nearby bakeries and chocolate shops. read more

Good food, great service and not too expensive. We were on the way to Cobourg Beach when we spotted the place. It's situated on the main road that leads to the area which is great. They also do takeouts. I will probably just do this the next time we are on the way and spend more time under the sun :) read more

The lunch menu prices were very affordable and the portion sizes were what you'd expect for an entree price. The food itself was outstanding - fresh and delicious! This is a great little spot on the main strip in Cobourg. A great spot to stop for lunch for a quickly eating in or takeout. I have gotten lunch specials half a dozen times and it is never disappointing. It isn't a gourmet place by any means but they do greek the way it should be done - simple, fresh, tasty and everything made in house. I have had everything from pork/chicken souvlaki to greek pasta. Food is always well made but they can be a bit slow if it is busy because they keep a pretty small staff. They more than make up for this in friendliness and accommodation. The small patio is nice in the summer and the restaurant itself is cozy inside. It would be difficult for big groups but is more than comfortable for groups of 1-4. Great place to stop in town and everyone should leave happy and satisfied. read more

I heard some good things about this little Greek joint in Cobourg. Decided to stop off there today on the way back from Ottawa. And boy am I glad I did. I had the vegetarian wrap and Mediterranean salad. Both were awesome. My wife had the chicken souvlaki and it was great too!! Tiny place, but was there off hours but did get a table right away. Arguably the best food in town. Authentic Greek cuisine. Reasonably priced,great service. Only issue is you might as well be eating in a phone booth. This place is Tiny. We drove for over 1 hour to meet friends at the Corfu in Cobourg, only to find that the place was CLOSED. This is the 2nd time I've gone there, and the 2nd time within a year that there was a sign up 'under renos'. I don't believe that. This restaurant is closed more than it is open. We stopped in after viewing the Christmas lights at The Rotary Harbour front Park. It's a small quaint dining area. We were seated right away by the one waitress that was working tonight. My boyfriend ordered the lamb dinner and I ordered the chicken Slovakia dinner. All dinners come with a Greek salad rice potato and pita bread. We were served the salad with the pita bread first. The salad was very tasty and the pita bread was very flavorful. The lamb was cooked to perfection served with plenty of rice and potatoes. The chicken was very tasty served on a bed of rice and potatoes both dinners were very plentiful and we both left some behind. Dinner and three beers was $53. We are moving to the area and definitely will be coming back for dinner. read more

The 1 was for the food which was pretty good but i didn't rate it well because they didn't treat us well at all.Firstly they didn't tell us that we had to pay the bill together because all of us were paying the bill separately to which one guy came in from the kitchen and started making us feel so bad. Rather than him helping the server out he'd rather use his time to argue with us.If they just had to tell us this in the beginning we would done the same to avoid this unecessary arguement. Secondly they overcharged one of us and when we took the bill and went back to them they said that we made a mistake although we having full proof of all the transactions and the bills while they didn't want to search for it as they deemed it a waste of time. They made us feel so bad for asking them for our money back which i think wasnt wrong at all because they clearly overcharged us. They threw the money back and asked us to never come back again. They treated us so badly and spoilt everyones mood over the trip. A suggestion for this place is to treat your guests like family and not like outsiders and secondly if you want things done a certain way please inform the customers before hand itself rather than creating a nuisance for them later on. This is the BEST food in COBOURG. Best Greek Food outside of of T.O. I drive for 30 min or more to come here regularly. The tzatziki is the best I have ever had. Take out portions will not disapoint! But eat in, the family that owns it are funny, it is small but I always get a table. I LOVE CORFU, and so does everyone I have brought there. Ive also taken people there on lunch for business retreats and one guy comes from Bowmanville to eat there. read more
