Guac and chips were okay, found the presentation great for take-out (patio was too full for the peppers!). Burger patty itself was very impressive, however, saw a misfire on the topping selection/preparation. High potential for sure.

On an accidental Cobourg bar crawl, my super squad of two popped in to El Camino for some margaritas. Don't let their humble street-side patio fool you, there is a garden oasis behind their Tulum-inspired interior. Beyond their well-balanced margs, we also indulged in a Spanish (warm) shrimp cocktail. It was delicious, and I wish we could have stayed for tacos... but there were bad cover bands to be seen.

From the moment I walked in I was mellowed by the calming decor. dim lighting, warm and cozy booths and relatively private tables considering the space size. However, bathrooms could use some attention. Our server was prompt, super friendly and genuine. She seemed to show up at exactly the right time, whenever we were ready for her. We were a group of four "youngish" women and we chose a variety of dishes including the stuffed portobellos and shrimp appetizers(both gluten free), curried chicken wontons, the Mahi tacos, blackened chicken sandwich and I had their Singapore noodle dish with smoked duck. We loved our entrees, they were flavourful, with relatively generous helpings. The wine selection was great! They were priced very reasonably. Two of us ordered the aromatic apple cinnamon cocktail, which was festive and nicely balanced in sweetness and alcohol. The reason I didn't give a 5 star is because there was no dessert for this gluten-free foodie. I was in the mood for something delicious that matched their apps and mains and was disappointed to be offered a bowl of ice cream. No thank you, I'll go home and eat brownies

El Camino was a 10 mins walk away from the beautiful beaches in Coburg. Very friendly service but food was srsly bleh. It's definitely a tapas tapas and tapas kind of place. Most of the dishes came in 3s, so going in group of 3s sounds more logical. The chicken kebab was bomb-except it wasnt the usual bomb, this was a literal bomb. It was so dry that the meat surpassed a floss-like texture. 13$ for 3? Everthything else was just alright. The paella came plated and was definitely a "tapas" portion. Ordered 6 dishes, bill was 100$ ish. Not worth it.

I've only had the tacos because they're delicious, I automatically order them and a spicy margarita from Taps & Corks!

Outstanding service, fun menu, amazing chef, great vibe. A top favourite in Cobourg. Try the Chris-py chicken sandwich; you'll thank me.

Our first visit was in January and we've been back 2 more times already. The main dining room is down stairs. The bar area upstairs seems very lively and inviting as well, and I've heard there's patio seating we want to try in the late spring. Service was excellent and very attentive. We loved everything we tried. You can do things traditional tapas style or you can go the appetizer and entree route. We had the calamari to start and some cocktails. For our entrees we each ordered the "feature" of the evening -- my fiance got the steak and I got the salmon. My fiance is pretty 50/50 on how good his steak experiences are in restaurants and he was very satisfied with the entree he had. My salmon cakes were SO good, everything tasted very fresh. The server also did a great job recommending a white wine to pair with my meal. We finished off with our dessert, I had the flourless chocolate torte and my fiance had (I can't recall exactly) a banana cream cheese churro I think? The desserts were amazing every time we've gone. We've had more chances to try other tapas items, the arancini is delicious as well. Also of note was that we had a good group dining experience here in February for a family members birthday. Overall if you haven't tried this spot make sure you do!

I throughly enjoyed the salad - crisp greens, perfect dressing and hot, crispy calamari. The tuna bowl followed - flavor was spot on, but the tuna itself was disappointing - tasted thawed and texture was meh. The biggest disappointment with Tapas was just the location itself being down in a dark basement - not my favorite environment. Would try again when the weather is nice and their patio is open. Server was very nice!

This is probably one of the worst meals I've had this year…read more First off, my friends had been here the year before and loved it. So I joined them for dinner this year. A few good things - the restaurant is very lovely- large space, beautifully designed, open kitchen to see the cooks, and the staff were lovely! But the food, oh man. First, if you want to order paella, do so right away as they tell you it takes 40minutes. That way once you're done with apps and chatting with your friends, it will be done Ok - food wise, we ordered a bunch of apps and the mushroom paella (there was a vegetarian in the group). - the beet & ricotta app/bread. This was tiny - like half a beet chopped up, with a fig, and a few dollops of ricotta that had limited taste - the salmon tartare (probably the best app) had salmon, a few capers, and razor thin chips - patatas bravas - a potato dish. Meh. At least the potatoes were crispy. - the mushroom paella- no taste lol. I had one scoop and honestly that was enough for me. There was plenty leftover. Even tried adding hot sauce but it couldn't save the dish Save your appetite and money.

Food was on the pricier side but not as expensive as I thought per other reviews. Great service. I'd come back to try the paella and other drinks.

A combination of the walnuts the goat cheese and the squash was really delicious a really good balance of flavors and textures I also tried a expresso Martini for the first time and it was strong! If I'm ever in the area again I definitely would go back there's so many options what I chose was not even a quarter of the menu

The tapas menu here is great and there's a wide variety of dishes to try. Our favourite dish was the Crispy Brussels Sprouts. It had a great portion size of the biggest brussels sprouts I've ever had. The sesame soy glaze was delicious and added a nice sauciness to the dish. We also enjoyed the caramelized onions and apple chunks. The Chimi Steak Frites were also great with a very good portion size. The sauce was very tasty and I was impressed by how crispy the fries stayed despite all the sauce. The Smoked Duck Steamed Bun was very good and had an excellent combination of flavours. I think for the price we would have liked another bun or at least a little more duck in each of the buns. The Salmon Fingers was the only dish we weren't super enthusiastic about. I love salmon, but I felt like deep frying it just obscured the salmon flavour so it didn't really have any strong flavour. Additionally, we only got three narrow strips of salmon which was a little disappointing. The corn salad was pretty unique; we didn't love it but didn't dislike it either. Overall we had a pretty fun experience here getting to try a few different dishes. I think we would come back here again some day to try more of the dishes we didn't order this time.
