Efendi Restaurant - Bayview Parking: Parking is easily for me that day during lunch time on a weekend. Atmosphere: Fancy modern classic interior and good space between each table. Service: Staff are very welcoming and even show me the Icli Kofte should be serve with lemon. Presentation: Every dish looks fancy and high-end. They just look appetizing (please refer to my photos). Taste: - Icli Kofte: Tasted average, no bad. - Adana Kebab: One of the best Kebab I had in GTA. - Baklava with Turkish ice cream: This is my first tasting Turkish ice cream, which have a unique texture. Overall: This is the fanciest Turkish restaurant I dine in the GTA. The staff is super friendly and the food are amazing.

Mushroom pide

Great service! Came for a birthday. They stored our cake for us and when ready for it, they played happy birthday on the speakers. The whole restaurant celebrated with us. They provided candles for our cake and placed the cake on a cake stand. Most restaurants usually just take out the cake and that's it. I felt like Efendi went above and beyond! Their lamb is delicious! My party usually doesn't like lamb for its gaminess but this wasn't an issue here. It was easy to eat and properly seasoned if you eat it along with the rice. The beef was also very juicy and easy to chew. The platter includes lots of chicken and rice, so it will be more than enough food. Ie 3 people will have trouble finishing the platter for 2, if you plan on ordering other dishes such as a pide. I recommend the mushroom pide over the assorted pide. Both are great! But I found the mushroom was lighter. I also like the bread and dips that come on the house at the beginning. The restaurant is clean and seating is comfortable. Great for large parties or small. Would come again!

I haven't dined in so can't comment on that experience. But I did order delivery of the Ali Nazik. It was shish kebab meat on a bed of eggplant and yogurt. When it first arrived, the box was smaller than expected for the price ($32 on the food delivery app plus tax and fees and tip). It came with a side salad and half a bread. I definitely thought the portions would be bigger. But that aside, it was undeniably delicious hence the 4 stars. Very flavourful and paired well with the bread. Would have liked bigger portion as this was just enough for one person.

The restaurant is cleaned with Turkish traditional light hanging. Typical Turkish restaurant decoration. The grill for 2 is the choice for 4 people. Among the mixed grill ( with lamb chop, beef , chicken, chicken wings) I loved the chicken wings the most. I also ordered dips- yogurt, eggplant dip (baba galosh?) ,hummus and mixed of pepper and onion, the mix of pepper and onions is the best. Don't forget to have Turkish tea as it has great aroma. Although the Turkish coffee is strong, get a dessert with this coffee is best to balance the sweetness and milk . The servers are very nice and promptly response to our asks. Washroom is clean and there is parking lot outside the restaurant

Fantastic food. Excellent, simple decor. The pide is loaded with cheese and whatever sausage they're using is better than your usuall pepperoni. If you have a group, get the $80 platter for two. It's basically a huge meat platter and it definitely feels like it feeds more than 2 people.

We always go to Efendi's location at 1076 Rutherford Rd, which we are always impressed by their phenomenal service, high quality food and nice interior. Since they opened up this new location, we decided to give it a try on Thanksgiving Day. When we arrived at around 5pm, it has 3 other groups, the place is big, so it looks empty. Our server is quick and the service was minimal. The food is almost as good as the other location. We always order the combo for 2. The taste is very similar, but their complimentary salad is not very fresh, the bread is not burning hot like the other location. When we were done, there came a server very rude, ruined all the good moment. He looked angry for absolutely no reasons. Someone in customer service doesn't know the smiles are the key in this hospitality business. The restaurant is giving a feeling of emptiness, lack of smiles. I don't think we will go back any time soon.

Efendi Restaurant never disappoints. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with friendly service and a great atmosphere. The menu has excellent variety, and everything we ordered was full of authentic flavor. Portions are generous and the quality is always consistent. It's a place you can confidently recommend to friends and family. One of our favorite spots for Turkish cuisine.

Beyti kebab plus dips combo

Despite the hype this place didn't live up to expectations. I didn't quite enjoy my meal especially at this price point. Beyti kebab had higher expectations as have had a much better version from now defunct La Turk. The stuff was still quite warm despite the long delivery time to downtown so didn't have to reheat. The chicken shish is acceptable but Mustafa which is regular delivery spot for moi offers a way better version imo. The dining companion pretty much only eats chicken shish from Mustafa also confirmed the opinion. The dips are ok and reminded me a lot of meat point delivery. Ok I guess. I didn't try the salad but it went well. This review is a for a takeout order so your in person experience may vary.

Absolutely beautiful restaurant from the service to the decor to the food! You'll come for a casual yet eligent dining experience. I came here just after their soft opening a few weeks ago and dazzled by their eligent Turkish decor that we later learned was imported from Turkey. We were greeted and served by the amazingly polite and attentive, Sarah. She gave us some suggestions and we were blown away by them all and also very full. We started with the mix appetizers and we both loved the baba ganoush the most with its refreshingly cool and delish flavour. The bread used for dipping here is incredible too. Warm, fluffy with a nice chew to it. Sarah also brought us some appetizer items the kitchen was testing out which was so good too. They have to put on their menu. We shared a Adana Kebab which I can recommend as well. The kebab was juicy and flavorful. My favourite kebab yet! For dessert, we had 2 items we've never tried before, the Kunefe (cheese fulled pastry baked in the oven) and COLD baklava. My favourite out of the 2 is the cold baklava. They put condensed milk or some sort of lightly sweetened cream on the bottom of the dish and let the bakalava bathe in it. The bakalva itself was PERFECT, just sweet enough to know you're having a dessert but not overly so like most places I've had it. Along with dessert, we had coffee and tea which were served in cute, and I assume traditional Turkish glassware. As you can tell, I love this place and will be making it my go-to place for Turkish food! Go and ask for Sarah as your server!

This is my 3rd meal at this location. Quality is decent and consistent. My husband loves the Adana kebab, which is nicely balanced and juicy. I recommend the mix kebab platter, where you get to sample a variety of their tasty dishes. My favorite was the Efendi lamb chops. A tip for those ordering, getting 2 "mix kebab for 2 people" is the same price and more food (more chicken wings skewer and sides - bulgar and rice) than 1 "mix kebab for 4 people". About the location and ambiance, we have been to the other Vaughan location many times, and truly prefer this new location 10x more. It is spacious, nicely renovated and has a lot more seating! You can also hear your conversations.

Mangal Kebab House located along Warden Ave near Metropolitan Rd (near Hwy 401) serves up tasty…read moreTurkish food which is also Halal. The restaurant is somewhat hidden inside a plaza where it's easy to miss if you are driving quickly by. The restaurant looks deceivingly small from the outside but when you enter there are many tables for big groups as well as a small patio. It is also fully accessible where there is plenty of parking as well. Menu wise, Mangal Kebab House serves up many cold appetizers, soups, salads, doner, wraps, grilled meats (including platters to share), pan dishes, pides, pasta dishes, as well as desserts. They also have a small kids menu as well. Although they are halal, the restaurant also serves alcohol. They also do have a selection of non-alcoholic beverages as well. For the meats, there is only beef, lamb, or chicken available (no pork). During the weekend mornings they also do breakfast. I was recommended to check out Mangal Kebab House from a coworker and decided to head there with friends on a Friday night. Reservations are available and recommended as the place does get busy. I made reservations online which was pretty easy and straightforward. My friends and I had a great time at Mangal Kebab House! We were given free bread and 3 small dips as soon as we sat down. At the end of the meal we were also given teas as well. Service was great and our waitress answered any questions we had regarding the menu. We also never felt rushed to leave as we were chatting and catching up as well. During our time there the place got busier as the night went on, there were even people coming in at 9pm with their families for a meal! What was also great was that the night we went (Friday) there was also live music (not sure if this is every night or only on specific nights). There were many people celebrating their birthdays (around 4-5 people) that night and the musician would sing happy birthday to the whole restaurant. Food wise, my friends and I all got different dishes from the grill section of the menu. I got the tavuk adana (spicy ground chicken mixed with lamb and beef fat, grilled on skewers, served with bulgur, roasted tomato, roasted pepper, red cabbage and onion salad), which was $28. Food arrived at a reasonable time and the portions were pretty big. I couldn't finish my food and ended up bringing the leftovers home. In terms of my grilled ground chicken skewer, it was so juicy and tasty. All the other components of the plate also worked harmoniously with the chicken and I enjoyed my dish very much. My friends also commented that their dishes were also extremely flavourful, tender, and juicy. Everything was delicious and we all agreed that these were some of the best kebabs that we've ever tasted in the city! Wish we had room for desserts since that display of desserts looked mighty tempting. Overall, one of the best places for kebabs in the Scarborough area. As I write this review I'm still thinking of the delicious food that I had consumed. Very tasty and delicious Turkish food paired along with great service! Can't wait to return to try more dishes in the future.
