Loved it and can't wait to come back! It's a Turkish restaurant and it's beautiful inside, with even bigger and better presentation with their food. We wanted to explore their entire menu and got lots of things for the table. Mix appetizer 5/5 - Came with 5 different spreads of your choice and they were all amazing! Comes with a pita like bread for dipping. Great for sharing and I loved all of the ones we got which were Acili ezme, hummus, baba ghanoush, tramosalad, haydari. Gavurdagi salad 4/5 - A tomato, cucumber, pepper, pomeganate, walnut, pomegranate sauce salad. Was a great refreshing salad to pair with meats. Lahmacun 5/5 - Minced beef on a thin crusted pizza. It was really good paired with the raw onions, lettuce and herbs. Mix Kebab platter for 4 5/5 - Absolute showstopper and so delicious. This can easily feed more than 4 people in my opinion. Comes with a variety of meat skewers ranging from Adana, chicken, shish veal, wings, meatballs, doner, and lamb chops. I thought it was all so delicious and the flavours were amazing. Trilece 5/5 - Delicious, moist three milk cake with caramel sauce. Good for sharing. Konak Special Tahini 3/5 - Thought this was okay. it felt a bit dry with the powdery top. It's with tahini, walnut and pistachio. I can't wait to be back and try more dishes here! Definitely a great place to check out and dine in with friends/ family.

Gavurdagi salad. This was delish!

We had a delicious Mother's Day dinner here with a family of 7 adults, a teen and a pre-teen. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a view of the open kitchen and the bread oven. The very friendly servers were happy to assist with ordering as it was our first time trying out Konak. We ordered their mixed grill for 4, 2 flat breads with various toppings, assortment of dips, 2 extra salad and 2 mains. This proved to be wayyyyy too much for our group, but we had delicious leftovers to take home so no complaints here. The flatbreads came out literally within minutes of ordering and the rest of the night went about with the same efficiency and speed. All the dishes were well executed, flavourful and memorable. Please note that the restaurant is not licensed so you will not be able to enjoy this meal with any alcoholic bevvies of choice. -1* for me. We tried a few of their unique drink offerings; fermented spicy cabbage drink and a fruity soda thingy. They were both interesting but the fermented spicy cabbage (not spicy for my Korean palate) reminded me of the Pickleback, non-alcoholic of couse. A few of the family members enjoyed it so much that they went back a few times for lunch. :) Definitely a unique and delicious dining experience and we look forward to returning for our next celebration dinner with a big crowd!

Food was delicious and very good sized portions. The decor is simple and chic. The service was great! Betul and Elif are lovely servers. They offered great suggestions and checked on us regularly to ensure we were enjoying our meals. The mixed meat platter for 2 could easily feed 3 or maybe even 4 of us. Thank goodness we didn't order the platter for 4. I can't image how much food we would have had left over.

Konak is located in a busy plaza but once you walk in, the dining area is beautiful with nice chairs and ambience. You can see the kitchen staff and can smell the meat on the grill. We came for lunch and got a seat very quickly. Staff were friendly and efficient, and Betul (our server) helped us navigate the menu. Ordered the Adana Kebab, and as we waited they brought over complimentary bread. It was hot and the dips that came with it were so good. The kebab dish itself was great with tons of flavours. I loved the 2 breads that came with the meal. Also worth noting was the presentation of the food. A table beside us were 6 people and they must have ordered the shared entree and it was served on this beautiful copper dish. So impressed with the food and ambiance-it is upscale Turkish dinning.

Lots of seating and big dining space. Good for small to large groups. Restaurant is not too noisy, service was ok. Staff doesn't come to check up on you but you can flag them easily to come to you. The food was delicious, very flavourful. The price is a big high for what you get. They have a section at the back with a fridge full of desserts, highly recommend to try

Konak Turkish Cuisine is one of my favorite Turkish spots in the city. I got the Iskender meal, and it was excellent, great flavors and generous portions. The restaurant is located in what seems like a random plaza off the 401, but once you step inside, the ambiance and decor make it feel like a completely different experience. It's warm, inviting, and well-designed. One of the highlights of the visit was the service. Our waiter kept offering us free tea and would come by to refill it throughout the meal. It's a small gesture, but it really made the experience feel more welcoming. I understand the pricing, but given the location, I expected it to be a bit more affordable. If it were slightly cheaper, this would easily be a regular go-to for me. Still, the quality and service make it well worth a visit.

Rice pudding topped with ground pistachios - this is a cold dessert, not too sweet, delicious

The restaurant is beautiful and modern inside. The service is good, our server Betul replenished our teas and checked on our orders, she also cleaned our table inbetween our entrees and desserts. Our group of 4 ordered The adana, Urfa kebab, chicken shish and yaprak doner. 3 of the 4 dishes were delicious, the chicken was from frozen chicken breast which made it sort of spongy. The desserts were worth every bite. Will definitely visit again

A group of us did the Turkish breakfast. It was a huge delicious spread. Dips, breads, variety of cheeses, honey, halva, eggs, meats, olives, I know I'm missing something because there were a lot of options. They have extras in the breakfast menu that you can add but honestly, I don't think there's any need. The servers were gracious! There is a time limit and it is plenty of time however our stay was extended and wasn't an issue as the restaurant wasn't at full capacity. The restaurant is spacious and tastefully decorated. I can't wait to go back for breakfast again or to have dinner. Just a heads up, busy plaza so parking can be a challenge.

Baklava (2 pieces for $5.49). 4. Turkish Tea ($2.00) x 2, but is free with a meal. A Pide is a Turkish Pizza. It came with red cabbage, gabage, pickles, and hot peppers. The pickles were too sourish. The chicken was mixed with two layers of cheese and a few slices of tomatoes. We ask them to hold the chili pepper. Adana is a lamb skewer. It was tasty and flavourful. It comes with a chili pepper and mixed salad, which was good. We swapped out the rice for fries, which was also good. The Baklava was just right; it wasn't drenched in honey, so it stays crispy. The Turkish Tea was the a good fish to a meal. Apparently, it is free when you have a dine-in meal. The customer service was good, except we have to keep asking to fill our water glasses. There is enough indoor seating. There is easy listening (English-language) music playing in the background. This restaurant opened in Feb 2024. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There are separate male/female washrooms downstairs, thus not wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. There is one high chair for little children. Review 2024-148

The waiter was really nice, he was friendly and smiling when he greeted me and took our order. My friend and I shared the meat doner with bulgur because we were not that hungry. When it came, it looked too good to eat. Presentation was well done with a variety of toppings and it was aromatic. Sadly we found the meat to be too salty for us. It was hard to eat when the bulgur and pita were running out as well. We were surprised to see that we were charged for $4 just for a cup of water each?? Apparently this is their norm but I wish I knew before coming here so I could say no to it as I had my own water with me...

It's a good thing though that we were able to park on the residential street after 6 p.m. This is a fairly small restaurant with a patio. Menus are viewed by scanning a QR code. I'm not sure if it's specified, but certain items are only available at certain times. There's a chance that what you want to order is sold out or not available, so I'd recommend having a backup order ready. It was a super busy night when we went, so the food did take quite a while and was severely staggered in arriving at the table. Luckily, the restaurant was considering adding a pasta dish to their menu, and we were given one to try complimentarily. It was pretty tasty, and so were the dishes that we each ordered. The portions are decent, so if you're not a big eater, it'd be good to share dishes. The bread is so fluffy and yummy! At the end of the meal, we were given tea. It was a nice touch. However, they should specify that it's on the house. I had brought a cake and asked if we'd be able to cut it and eat it there. The server said yes, but it'd be a $5 charge per person. I understand that they provide plates and cutlery and will have to wash it, and I'm not sure what the norm is, but $5 per person seems high.
