I originally had high hopes for this place because it has so many 5…read morestar reviews on Google which is impressive for a new restaurant, but NEVER MIND because this was the DRIEST, thinnest, most flavorless beef döner wrap I've ever had in my life. The only good things I can speak on is the service and lavash bread. Price was average, and the young boy at the front who took my order was very polite. I ordered a beef doner wrap with no pickles and to add garlic sauce. I know the employee put the order in correctly because I saw it on my receipt so the way my food came out was not his fault. I was told it comes with meat, veggies, onions, and pickles- the usual standard for a doner wrap at a Turkish establishment- but instead I got a wrap with dry ass, underseasoned doner and fries with NO SAUCE. Had I known there were fries in the wrap I would've asked for it to be removed. There was also ZERO trace of garlic sauce or vegetable (other than the fries I guess). It's pretty hard to mess up a wrap, let alone doner anything since it's already a high fat blend of meat, but man this was so disappointing especially for a new establishment. I have my own favorite spot in the plaza, Antiochia Turkish Doner, but since they reduced their hours I've been looking for alternatives open later. I guess I'll have to start coming earlier if I want to grab quality doner because I'm still sticking with (and highly recommended) Antiochia. That's where you should go if you want a flavorful, generously portioned, authentic doner wrap the size of your forearm for the same price. Not here.

I quite enjoyed the homey, unostentatious vibe here, and combined with comfortable and spacious seating made for a pleasant dining experience. We ordered one of their pides as well as - of course, given their namesake - kebabs. Both were flavourful and delicious although we didn't find the food to be particularly unique. However, the service was wonderful, warm and friendly - the staff checked up on us several times and no one rushed us. Overall, would definitely recommend if you're in the area! Even if the outside seems unassuming, this local spot is a truly beautiful place that's worth a look.

We started with a salad, followed by a mixed grill kebab platter served with lahmacun bread. All of the BBQ meats were nicely charred and packed with flavour. I especially enjoyed the Adana and beef kebabs. When we opened the homemade flatbread, hot steam came out -- which was so cool. We tried both the lahmacun and the spinach & feta pide, and they were delicious. It was also my first time trying Beyti kebab. It's basically Adana wrapped in flatbread with cheese, served with tomatoes and yogurt. Such a great dish! I also tried a fermented carrot and turnip drink called Şalgam (the spicy version). It was salty, spicy, and really tasty -- it paired perfectly with the meal. We enjoyed every single dish here and will definitely be back.

All the food is home cooked and very fresh, even for a Monday night. We spent some time with the owner of the restaurant, going over suggestions and decided on the falafel appetizer and the Adana shish kebab platter with 2 skewers of meat. With 2 beers, this was quite a nice filling choice to split between the two of us. We've eaten at a lot of middle eastern restaurants, and my wife goes to a great Turkish restaurant in NYC quite a bit, so we have points of comparison. The food at Antioch was all very tasty and fresh and we will definitely return for more. PS - the baklava is made by hand by the owner and is worth trying for dessert. It's different than the typical Greek baklava. Highly recommended.

The meat was definitely the highlight, it was flavorful, tender, and cooked fresh for us, which made a noticeable difference. My only critiques were with the sides. I felt the dish could have used more sauce, especially because the rice itself wasn't as flavorful as I had hoped. I also wished there was more dressing on the salads. That said, the portion size was fairly large and overall the meal was average. We waited in the restaurant for our takeout and our server, Carlos, was incredibly pleasant and welcoming. He brought us complimentary tea, which was a nice touch while we waited for our food.

Since taking over the social eatery, the space is vast and easily accommodates large crowds. However, they are severely understaffed, leaving too few servers for the number of guests. Tables were spaced out and our meal began with just a single waiter handling all orders before a second person came to assist. Food needs work. The Gul Gul mixed platter portion is quite small for a shared appetizer and the Turkish coffee is overpriced for its size. The hummus, baba ghanoush, acılı ezme and cacık were all tasty but the vine leaves were hard. The shish tawouk was mostly moist, though a couple of pieces turned out too dry. The chicken platter definitely needs extra seasoning and sauces and the garnishes (carrots, onions, lettuce and pickled cabbage) require dressing. On the plus side, the bulgur was yummy and plentiful, including their fresh baked pita bread. It's pillowy soft. While this spot is just starting out, it has potential if they can refine the food and service.
