Tried this place out (pick-up/takeout) with my office teammates for lunch. Not bad indeed. But we all agreed that they were a tad bit stingy with the sauces. I ordered a falafel box with fries and salad. Was very tasty but I didn't get too much garlic creamy sauce / hot sauce / tzatziki as requested. I don't taste much spice from the hot sauce. read more

After a particularly exhausting shopping trip at Vaughan Mills, I swung by this doner spot to ease down my frustration. And I'm so glad I did! I've been on a bit of a doner and kebab kick lately, and this place had been on my bucket list because of the name sounded amusing (and I later learned from my brother that doner is a big deal in Berlin). I decided to dive right in and ordered the Mix Doner Box with Fries so I could try a bit of everything they offer. It turned out to be a fantastic choice! Unlike some other spots, the food here isn't overly salty; the flavors are just right, hitting the perfect note for a satisfying meal. The Baklava, while on the budget-friendly side, was a sweet treat that was very welcome for a sweet tooth like mine. I'm definitely planning to come back more often. I have ordered in from here a few times and every time they are pretty consistent. We usually order the mixed grill platter as it has a bit of everything. The meats are seasoned well and moist. The mixed pide is pretty good. The dips are yum. The mixed grill trays are great if you're having friends or family over and don't feel like cooking! Trust me I've done it loads of times and every time it's a crowd pleaser! No complaints here! Would recommend :) read more

I think their wraps are good, but only the chicken one. The baklava and kunefa is good aswell. However... I bought the big platter for my family which comes with the chicken doner, lamb or beef doner I believe, lamb kebab, chicken breast kebab, chicken wings and lamp chops, with white rice and bulger, a salad, some flat bread and a doner pizza. And all the meats were soooo overcooked and dried up, like the ends of most things were burnt. And on top of that they only gave 4 sauce containers for such a huge platter. As well as there was so much chewy fat on the lamb doner, it was not as appetizing as it looked tbh. The chicken wings tasted odd, not the seasoning but the actual meat tasted like it was made the day before and reheated for our platter, was not fresh at all! read more

Delicious! Wow! My husband had come to this brand new location a couple of time and insisted I try it with him, I said 'listen shawarma is shawarma, their all pretty good'... BUT I was WRONG! Their NOT all the same! Have you ever had juicy beef shawarma that doesn't even require any sauce? Chicken that melts in your mouth? The wraps are made with fresh bread, when I say fresh... I mean they bake it to order! There's tons of options, they are gluten sensitive (with their options ) everything is freshly made with love. Some good, some bad. Ordered for delivery and everything came hot which was nice. Ordered mixed doner plate and the pide with Turkish sausage. Pide was quite good, 4/5. Tasty flatbread with cheese and the sausage. Almost like a thinner pizza style flat bread with some spice (flavour not heat). Served with hot peppers and tomato on the side. 4/5 Mixed plate was pretty miss. Spent five minutes picking tripe and fat out of the beef. I know that is some people thing, I'm just not one of them. 3.5/5 Chicken was laced with fat and ended up in the garbage. 0/5 Free poutine was good, good taste and cheese was melted enough that top layer was enjoyable. Not enough layered cheese to last for all the fries but was free, so all good. 3.5/5 Would be three star review if I never made the mistake of switching to mixed from beef. My new favorite restaurant !! It was so good. Had the beef sandwich special that came with fries & a pop for $15.99. The sandwich (aka: Beef Shwarma in a pita) was so big and tasty. The fries are also very good. When I am not on a diet, I will try one of the meat topped poutine that look amazing. My woman had the Iskender and she absolutely loved it, but because there was so much had to take half home to finish off for dinner. The two ladies working there were so friendly and helpful. I always find it strange when a restaurant goes out of business and is then replaced by the exact same kind of restaurant. If the other one failed, what makes you think you can succeed selling the same food? I know there is a lot more that goes into these things, but let's be honest: Flame was a pretty decent shwarma joint. It was just SURROUNDED by 5 other, better shwarma joints. So now Flame is gone and Berlin Donar has opened at this location, and the menu is pretty similar. So will they be successful where Flame was not? I can tell you this, they're doing everything right so far. The food is delicious and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The prices are really competitive for the area, and there's some unique items on the menu that set them apart (such as the mini/slider doner "burgers"). The place is warm, clean, and inviting. The location is decent... its next to the worst intersection in Vaughan, next door to a McDonalds, a Symposium, a terrible sports bar (that also replaced a well regarded yet failed restaurant Smoke BBQ), and an AYCE sushi place. Competition is stiff. And with Pita Land, Zagros and Osmows surrounding it.. aye. I hope they make it work. Cute little small turkish restarant in Vaughan. (more like fast food place but with nice seating area) Everything is homemade and they have a decent selection of dishes, reasonable pricing and really cute presentation on wooden boards depending on the dishes you order. I was there at lunch time and it got pretty busy. The owners are 2 lovely sisters that are very friendly and offer good service. Only small complaint was that the food could have been a little warmer for our taste but would still definitely go back and recommend. read more

Found this new spot today. So happy that a quality Doner Kebab place opened up in this area. Their meats are EXCEPTIONALLY good and the bread is awesome. This is an authentic Turkish experience. Their Doner is excellent, as is their pide. We've tried several things here, food has always been well prepared, fresh and hot. Even the bread they throw in on the side is amazing. You have lots of choice with authentic Turkish drinks here (Ayran, visne suyu, etc) - only thing they didn't have was Uludag. Haven't been to the restaurant yet (only ordered delivery so far) but I'm looking forward to one day meeting the folks who run this place and congratulating them. read more
