Are you looking to try some Turkish food? This restaurant is located just outside of Vaughan Mills shopping mall. The restaurant has nice rustic decor with comfy velvet bench seats. The walls have an accent wall decorated with small pieces of tree trunks with various countries and cities engraved. We ordered the lamb chops 4 pcs $31.99. It was served in a nice display dish and cover. The lamb was seasoned well, and the meat was tender. It comes with rice and salad. We ordered the Adana & chicken shish $20.99. You get one full skewer of ground beef, Adana kebab, and half skewer of grilled chicken breast kebab. The chicken was juicy and succulent. The beef was a little bit dry. The entree was beautifully displayed on a large wooden plank with Kebab Istanbul embossed. We also ordered the falafel appetizer $11.99 served with pickled shredded beets and mixed green salad. Overall, the meal was decent, and we had some food to take home. The food is a bit on the pricey side. The total came up to $77 with tax. We also ordered 2 pops. The service was decent, and they did check on us to see if we were enjoying our meal. One constructive feedback, the server should ask us if this is our first time dining here. This goes a long way with overall dining experience. We would have liked some recommendations on what to order. I had to do my own research on Google reviews and look at my neighbors table to see what they're are eating. I would recommend this restaurant and will probably skip the lamb chops ( too pricey) and maybe try the other entrees like shawarma, mixed grill, or the Pide flat breads.

We came in around five Saturday afternoon, and it was half full, got seated immediately. This is a cozy place serving Turkish Kebabs and foods. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We ordered mixed kebab combo, which had 4 types of meats, all are very good, except the chicken. It's also coming with salads and rices, good portion for two people. The place got filled quickly, suggested call advance for reservations.

Kebab Istanbul left an amazing first impression! I tried the Chicken Adana Shish and Beef Shish platters, and each bite was a delight. The beef was exceptionally juicy, the chicken packed with flavor, and the vegetables and bread tasted fresh and authentic. Ending the meal with a traditional Turkish tea was the perfect wrap-up. I'll definitely be back--this place is already one of my favorite Turkish restaurants in the GTA. Solid 4/5!

Don't let the photos fool you as the food here is incredibly underwhelming and service is subpar with multiple reminders needed for even the most basic of asks (e.g. water, cutlery). And as others pointed out, it seems like many of the 5 star reviews here are fake as it's the profiles' only review.

We ordered the Adana Kebab, Lamb Shish, and the Kunefa. While I'm not as experienced in Turkish Cuisine, we really enjoyed the food here and would definitely come again. The Lamb Shish had huge chunks of tender lamb which while were grilled with that hint of smoke, I really enjoyed the Adana Kebab. Not only were they so tender, but they didn't taste like it was filled with fillers, just flavor from the spice. All if which paired well with the flavored rice. To finish off the meal we got the Kunefa, which was crispy but just a tad too sweet for us.

Came here on weekend lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Been craving pide for a long time and got the minced beef and cheese one. It was hot and delicious when it came out. Ordered the mixed appetizer with different dips which was great as well. Got the lamb and beef kebab mix. That was good, thought the meat part as a little on the thin side. The rice was good too. Overall a good experience and would come again.

Nice interior design. I had the chicken yogurt meze. It wasn't very flavorful. However there was a little serving of fresh baked bread with it which was nice. It's really just an appetizer. I also treated myself to the chocolate baklava which was cool but not as syrupy as other places. The interior design is nice.

My wife and I ordered a mixed kebab platter for $49 and we were not able to finish it. We had plenty of leftovers. The food itself was tasty and the service was good. The guys working there deserve a good tip.

Bland food!! No sauces or taste!! Soggy rice and salad wasn't freshly made. The salad was mush!

Absolutely terrible food and service!!! They over charged me for 1 shwarma and rice dish. Forgot my baklava order. Then I asked them to please make me a dish without fries because I am Celiac and can not have cross contaminated food. They just removed the fries and plopped more soggy salad on top. I ended up finding fries under my rice and HAD AN ALLERGIC REACTION!!! They should be happy that I don't sue them!!! This was the WORST food that I have ever eaten and these reviews are 100% false reviews. You should be out of buisness!!! You can't even fallow dietary restrictions property!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!

If you like middle eastern food you must try the food here. With Arabic food, sharing is the way to go. We ordered a few appetizers; hummus, fattoush, Greek salad, baba ghanoush (not pictured), tabouleh (not pictured). The reason I love going here is because of the appetizers, they remind me of how my mom and aunts make appetizers; in the traditional Iraqi way. The salads are zesty and sour, which is very typical of Iraqi cuisine but it's so delicious. The ingredients are all very fresh. I highly recommend trying the hummus and tabouleh, they're addictive. For our main meal we ordered a giant mixed platter with a bit of every meat (lamb chops, chicken souvlaki, beef schnitzel, chicken schnitzel, beef kebab tenderloin, Iraqi beef kebab). This was so delicious, everything was cooked perfectly. If you only want to try one meat I would highly recommend trying the lamb chops, I could easily eat 20 of those. The schnitzels are quite popular amongst kids, I remember ordering those all the time and they still taste as good as I remember them. And of course all the sides are amazing (especially the fries). For dessert we had tea and creme caramel, a great way to end the night. This place is awesome, we'll continue to go here especially for events (they sometimes bring DJs). The place is very clean as well (bathrooms are spotless).

I had actually taken the time to ask the staff at cash whether the pieces would be the same size as the kabob. Way too much sauce. I asked for garlic and I wanted minced garlic like toum... before I could correct her the server was squirting sauce in the pita from those squeeze bottles meant for mustard and ketchup. This was on top of babaghanoush which already has garlic in it...like no reason to add liquidy garlic sauce on top of that.....I had to search for the meat with a fork. I had the picked turnips and they weren't tasty and were too salty. The whole thing was like a pita full of SLOP. Wouldn't order it again or would make sure the server wasn't using too much sauce. Wouldn't order the lamb again like this. I ate half of the salad items inside the pita but couldn't finish it - too wet and gross. Had to buy candy at convenience store afterward for a palate change - bad aftertaste etc.

Since somebody else had planned, this meal, I reached out to the restaurant multiple times beforehand to see what options there were for me, nobody got back to me, even though I could see that my messages were read. When I got there, I reviewed the menu and was surprised to see even things that normally do not have gluten, such as french fries, roast potatoes, and falafel were marked with gluten. There was very little I could eat. I ended up getting a cold appetizer tray which for $19, for about half a cup of hummus, half a cup of mushrooms, and half a cup of roast eggplant. I asked if I could have rice on the side instead of the bread, she said she could not substitute, and I would have to pay for it. I did so, and received less than a cup of plain rice. When I got my bill, it was $34. The rice on the side, was over $7. Absolutely ridiculous that I spent $34 on a meal of plain rice, and 3 small dips. Extremely unaccommodating and also rude, I would not go back. If you have any kind of food, intolerances or preferences not recommended.
