Fantastically fresh food that's family-friendly…read more Food: Had a couple of dishes to share, starting with the garden salad that was very fresh and cool, perfect for a home summer day yet with a hint of sweetness that made it bright and vibrant. The hummus with mushroom was also very unique, it tasted very earthy and balanced the pita very well, providing some chew and meatiness to the dish. The pide was also very nice and crispy, and you can taste each ingredient separately on the pide yet it all melds together with the fragrant spices combine it all. Service: There was plenty of seating available in the restaurant, and the people were all very friendly. As it was our first time, the server helped provide some recommendations and walked us through some favourites on the menu. Atmosphere: The place was a nice and clean, but nothing spectacular in terms of design. Seats were comfortable enough, although the tables were fairly close together.

There is construction on 400 so it can be tricky to get here. You might have to go one exit passed Steeles and come back but it's worth it. Because of the time I went , there was only on other person in the dining room. You can see back into the kitchen. I like that be because the dining room usually smells pretty good. The server was from Turkey and he had a bit of an accent which made me think the food would be a little more authentic. On the recommendation of the server I got the Cokertme Kebab. It doesn't quite look like it does in the menu picture but it was really good. The beef strips were well seasoned and tender. The yogurt complimented the beef very well and the chips added good texture. I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

Even amid a busy dinner rush, they were quick to greet us and seat our family without difficulty. That level of hospitality goes a long way, especially when you're traveling with hungry kids! I chose the Mixed Beef and Chicken Doner, and it hit all the right notes. The beef was wonderfully seasoned, with a subtle sear that provided depth to each bite, and the chicken was moist and soft. It was a big, satisfying supper served with fluffy rice, fresh salad, and warm bread that reminded me of meals I had in other countries. My wife and kids ordered the Chicken Adana Kebab, and they were equally impressed. The skewers were grilled to perfection, with just the proper amount of heat, and the serving sizes were large. Our server ensured that the spice level was appropriate for children while maintaining the flavor. We couldn't resist eating the Tres Leches dessert, and it was the ideal way to cap the lunch. It was moist, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet, making it one of the greatest we'd ever eaten, Turkish restaurant or not. Mama Fatma Turkish Cuisine has earned a spot on our go-to list for family dinners thanks to its outstanding service, delectable cuisine, and clean, pleasant ambiance. Highly recommended for those looking for genuine Turkish cuisine with a touch of warm friendliness!

It's like a sampler plate that includes a variety of their signature dishes, allowing you to sample a little bit of everything. Personally, I found the portion to be generous enough for 3-4 people, unless you have very good appetites or are prepared to take home leftovers. Their kebabs are bursting with flavor. They grill them with lamb oil or lamb fat to enhance the taste. The beef doner and chicken were tender, juicy, and well-marinated, while the lamb chops were perfectly cooked. The mini pides looked cute. As for drinks, I tried the Doğanay Şalgam. This salty turnip juice has a unique flavor profile; it was quite an interesting experience for me as I had never tried salty juices before. In fact, it's the kind of taste you might find yourself becoming obsessed with. Although the restaurant is located in an ordinary plaza, the interior is spacious and decorated in authentic Turkish style. The staff were friendly and patient, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience. If you are seeking an authentic taste of Turkey I'd recommend this restaurant. The plate had a good variety of meats and no BS (unlike some other restaurants that throw fries on the plate and call it 'delicacy'). They also didn't dip everything into lamb oil to "enhance" the flavour - you could actually taste the meat itself. The beef was soft, the chicken was juicy, and the lamb was tender. They also offered free naan and dipping sauce, which was very nice. For dessert, we had baklava, $4 for a small piece, but we had no complaint considering the free appetizer earlier. Service was okay. The staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered "Mix Appetizers" to share, which was served with freshly baked Turkish bread. Spicy Mash had a bit of a kick, but not too spicy, which we enjoyed. Baba Ganoush, Haydari and Hummus were fresh and tasty. For main, we ordered "Efendi Lamb Chops", "Efendi Meat Shish Kebab", "Beyti Kebab", "Sac Tava" and "Spinach and Cheese Pide". Efendi Lamb Chops And Efendi Meat Shish Kebab were served on a hot sizzling plate which was really fun to watch and they were the most tender, juicy and flavourful ones we have ever had. Pide was fresh and the cheese was very tasty. Beyti Kebab had a bit of a kick to it which we really loved; we also enjoyed the combination of yogurt and Spicy Mash; it was a great combination with the veal wraps. Sac Tava was a great combination of cubed beed, green peppers and spices. We loved every bite of our food. We ended on a sweet note with freshly made "Kunefe" and of course Turkish coffee. Kunefe was very delicious and right amount of sweetness. Turkish coffee was served in beautiful cups and we enjoyed both.

As soon as you enter, you are transported to a culinary experience unlike any other. My Mom and I took my Uncle here for his 86th Birthday at his request. We were a party of five. We ordered the Hummus, Haydari, Baba Ghanoush, Cheese Pide, Sujuk & Cheese Pide, Chicken Thigh Shish, Chicken Breast Shish, Beef Meatballs, Lamb Burger, and Turkish Tea. All dishes were excellent and arrived at our table piping hot. The portions were more than ideal and reasonable in price. The bold flavors were reminiscent of growing up in the Middle East. The service provided by Ridvan was quick, attentive, and friendly and only elevated our experience and culinary journey. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming; we felt like Family from the start to the completion of our meal. The hospitality showered upon us by our team of servers was the icing on the cake. We boxed up the remainder and had leftovers to enjoy the following day. Told the server that it was my Uncle's Birthday and a small cake was delivered to our table - complete with a lighted candle and lively greetings. Delightfully light and airy with chocolate chips on the inside and a red velvet exterior. Truly well executed. We will make a return visit in July when my Mom and I are in the Toronto Area.
