Not one thing to fault with the food at Fat Pasha, besides maybe the slow service especially when the food is so good that you just want the pita flowing, one after the other. Speaking of service, it's also a rookie mistake when the staff mixes tap water with your glass that had some sparkling left to savor. Pita, soft! The mezze plater, delicious! But let's talk about the pickle-brined chicken - incredible and worth returning for over and over again. We ended with the tahini brownies, which were warm and gooey and made our already fabulous meal even better. A place I want to gate-keep but also kind of brag about!

While at Casa Loma, my group and I decided to look for something nearby to grab dinner - and so we ended up at Fat Pasha. Based off the reviews, we were excited to check it out. The restaurant was near full when we walked in, but we were able to get seated right away (with our group of 5), which was nice. The ambiance was dim, warm and welcoming. We had a table in the corner by the window, facing the bar. Menus were provided. Our waiter informed us that dishes were served in sharing style. We took a bit of time to decide what we wanted to order - but we ended up getting a platter of 3 different dips to share (which came with pita) and 2 orders of chicken shawarma. Food was delicious- we all agreed that everything was good. The chicken was cooked to perfection, it was soft and tender and charred at the skin. We also ordered a round of beers and cocktails. I'd say - the food and drinks were good, but not worth the money if you're looking to get full. We weren't too pleased with the portion sizes - it definitely wasn't worth what we all paid for. This is a spot you come to socialize with your friends for drinks and sharing apps (like the dip platter).

The food was an overall 3/5, a lot of was a miss tbh. The turkey cutlets were so dry and tough, the potatoes were mid. The dip platter was worth it, though the hummus was a bit bitter. The cauliflower was also a nice twist, but wasn't game changer for us. The ambiance is great, feels like a small local restaurant with a cool vibe.

Part of a longer review... Fat Pasha is an Annex darling that has been gracing Toronto's restaurant scene for a decade. Known for transforming comfort food into high-concept delights, Chef/owner Anthony Rose has built a small empire, and Fat Pasha stands as a vibrant homage to the bold flavours of the Middle East. While the kitchen dazzles, there's a sense that this beloved establishment may be resting on its laurels--at least when it comes to the dining room. The moment you step through the door, Fat Pasha embraces you in its cozy, rustic warmth. Wall-mounted lanterns glow against the backdrop of worn wooden tables and walls adorned with Middle Eastern artifacts, offering a comforting intimacy. The setting is ripe with anticipation, promising a communal experience that invites diners to savour, share, and explore. It's a space that hums with the energy of a neighborhood favourite, particularly on weekends when the brunch crowd packs the room, hungry for Rose's signature twists on morning fare.

A hidden gem! Make a reservation in advance and come hungry. All the dips and falafel were great to start. The cauliflower and chicken shwarma were my favorite. The drinks were special and lots of good desserts if you're still hungry.

LOVED Fat Pasha. My partner and I only got the larger started plate to try the different dips. For us, this was enough. I was expecting to order an entree too but was too full! All of the dips were delicious, and our server even offered to bring out more warm pita for us to finish our dips at home. The setting was very nice, and not busy since it was a Monday evening. Will definitely return!

So delicious! I loved the chill vibe of this place, our server was so nice and friendly. We booked 2 spots at the bar but were graciously moved to a table when we asked. My friend and I split the platter for 2, and I will be coming back for this. Falafel were fried to perfection, the babba ghannoush was our favourite. Highly recommend coming here for sharing plates and a chill dinner.

I absolutely loved everything about our brunch at Fat Pasha! I had a hankering for bagels, lox and cream cheese and boy, did this restaurant deliver in spades! My sandwich was delectable! The latkes were awesome too! My kids had the monster French toast, which was a five star offering! There is a lovely patio out back and service was so friendly. Loved the atmosphere and and will certainly be back!

Our server was so nice and friendly. We got the tabule salad with falafel, fried eggplant, and lamb grill. The salad is kind of a small portion but very tasty. The falafel was the perfect ratio of crispy to stuffing. However, they were mini falafels and I believe the regular order of falafels is bigger. The eggplant was the least enjoyable dish because it was so greasy and had no flavor to it. The lamb was cooked to perfection and so tender and flavorful. The grills are also served with veggies and rice. The portion size was perfect. We'd go back again and try some other hot mezzes.

The hummus was good, definitely above average for hummus, a very classic hummus. Also got some falafel which were also good. Not overly fried, good flavor and consistency to them. Paired well with some hot sauce. The lamb banadura was good too, the lamb itself was perhaps a bit dry and could've been more heavily spiced/seasoned, but the tomato garlic sauce in which it was served was absolutely delicious as were the heavily-seasoned tomatoes in the dish. Everything was well packaged for delivery and it was all pretty good.
