Chicken with hot sauce and garlic sauce
    PJ Y.

Amazing service. Greeted right when I got in and the owner was very nice and friendly. The place was also very clean and organized. We ordered chicken on rice and beef on rice. I liked the chicken way better but it could be because i had sweet chilli sauce on the beef. I think the sweet chilli overpowered the beef and garlic sauce. The food was good overall though.

The restaurant has a beautiful interior and high ceilings. Service here is little to none. Which is unfortunate since their food is so good. After taking our orders we were never checked on. Asked 2 different servers for extra serveware and never got it. Had to ask more than once to get water. Overall the service is BAD. What saves this place is definitely their food, as it's very delicious. Definitely start with their variety of dips for sharing. Here's what we got: Mix Appetizers 5/5 - Came with hummus, baba ganoush, spicy mashed and haydari. All delicious and served with fresh bread. Mixed Pide 5/5 - This was also great for sharing and tasting the variety of pide options. Came with cheese, minced meat, and sausage. Mix Kebab for 2 5/5 - This was more than enough to share with the five of us, as portions are large, especially when you are ordering other sides. A variety of meats including lamb, chicken, beef served with rice and salad. The meal ends with complimentary tea. Overall, delicious spot with great food but just lacks any type of service. So good that I'd still come back for their food.

I was misled by the positive reviews, or maybe I was just unlucky…read more Walked in and decided on the Chicken Doner wrap, and was waiting at the register to order, there 5+ workers looked at me several times, and continued to do there thing, talking to each other and doing whatever. I waved at one and said I was ready to order, and one girl said alright, and continued doing there thing, waited a good 5 minutes for someone to actually take my order... I haven't felt so invisible at a restaurant for a very long time. Anyways - got a combo, and they didn't say anything on where to get a drink, I saw the drink display to the side, so grabbed my can - and one of the workers were like , did you order that? , Um... yes, I ordered a combo, and I'm assuming this is where you grab the drink? - and then she's like oh okay. The wrap itself was okay , however the chicken was a little dry in some bites - fries were unseasoned, so you can figure that out on your own as well. Overall, disaster of an experience - and absolutely will not re-visit on my next Toronto trip.

You know a spot is good when it's packed!…read more Champion Doner looks like an ordinary spot on the outside but inside it's always rocking with long lines. That's because the shaved Turkish döner meats are juicy with flavour coated by a savoury trio of creamy sauces. The meal portions are usually generous yet somehow we end up gulping it all down in no time. The order process is simple but the wait thereafter always builds up the anticipation. Upon being called, head up to pick our choice of healthy salad to cut through the hearty protein. Our picks on rice are usually red cabbage, mixed salad, pickled turnips, hot baby peppers, hummus and cheese over döner meats plus a blend of tangy mango & spicy garlic sauces. The balance of meat and vegetables is perfect whether it's the mixed döner plate of chicken & beef or a couple separate döner boxes for takeout. The only difference is some ladies here give larger portions than others! Despite the messy chaotic restaurant interior and long wait that detract from the meal experience, there's a reason why so many patrons keep packing in here. Skip it or hit it? Without a doubt this is a champion of good Turkish food perfect for meat lovers.

Can't go wrong with beef shwarma... great flavors and a bit of tanginess... I didn't expect to like the chicken shwarma but it was nice and smokey... which fishes it some added depth. At other places, shish kebob can be over cooked and dry... not here... grilled on the outside but tender on the inside. Love these flavors... wish we could have had extra containers of that yummy sauce on the side. I don't know what it is... but the potatoes where so so good. There is lots of staples and salad to fill you up. So in total there was plenty... but I felt like I would like a tiny little more meat for the price of the shwarma... the shish kebob seems about right because it's chuncks of meat vs thin sliced. Overall giving this a 3.25 start rating.

What us relatively unique is that for about ten bucks you get a pretty hefty sandwich of chicken mixed in a bowl with a wide assortment of fixings as tomatoes, medeterrean salad and red cabbage. Typical shops have much fewer filling options schmeared on a bagged pita bread and smushed in a panini press. The bread hear appears house made, certainly unique and so doing kind of sticks to the wrapping paper. But still, an enjoyable bite of mixed veg and chicken. While a bit on the dry side and buried with the veg and sauce, thst is a big sandwich and very fresh. I would saw that Mr. Zagros is a good option when you get a craving for a schwarma or falafel. Be prepared to pay a premium, as about $32.00 for three sandwiches and one soda.

Ordered take out for a friend's request, she loves the Greek food here. Food seemed good but nothing extra special to me. We had an assortment of dips; house made hummus, eggplant dip, pickled beets and creamy something. Everything was very fresh served with house made pita bread, falafels and Greek salad. A mixed appetizer with mild spice suitable for kids were tasty . Skewers of chicken were moist, typical expectations for good Greek food. The portions for lunch is small to just enough. Dining inside was very quiet and cozy, as take out seems very popular here.

There were quite a few people doing take out so I was initially confused on where to line up for a table. Once in the dining area, there is ample amount of seats. I also went on a weeknight so there weren't many guests. They also have a patio. At one point, one of the servers were commenting on the sunset but I couldn't see it from my view until I was finished and in my car. Service - 2/5: there wasn't anybody at the front. Once they were made aware that guests were in the front, we got seated quickly. We were allowed to choose our seats. Other than dropping off the plates, utensils and bringing the food, our server didn't check up on us. I had some questions about one of the appetizers we had but didn't manage to ask because they walked off already. When we were leaving, a customer was sitting at the "bar" and was trying to wave someone down to pay for their meal. Food - 2.75/5: we got the chicken snitzel plate and lamb skewers. Both came with garden salad and warmed pita bread (shared basket). We paired the snitzel with vegetables. The snitzel was dry. The sauce that it came with helped a little. The vegetables was nice and garlicky but was well overcooked. The lamb skewers - we ordered as medium-well. Most of the pieces were well done. The piece I tried was flavourful but quite dry. Tried the sauce - mostly tangly but I liked the flavour profile of lamb skewers on its' own. We paired it up with rice. The rice had a midge of butter in it. Otherwise, bland. I think food portion wise, it's smaller than what most other places would offer. We don't eat much and this was and early dinner so the portion size was more than enough personally. Overall: 2.75/5 - maybe I'll try the take out version next time
