I get why this place was hyped when it first opened. I got the slider with fries and added cheese. The chicken was meaty and juicy, the side sliced pickles were a nice touch, but the star was the fries - crisp, not oily, just the right level of salty-tasty. It was also reasonably priced for the portion size. I've not been to other locations but this one had two floors, was very spacious and well lit. Great for groups or dining alone. Oh, and the bathroom was immaculately clean. Overall a great quick-bite place, and definitely a level up on the typical fast food joints. read more

Normally get the fried chicken sandwich + tender combo with fries and costs about $20. I guess it's on the pricier side for lunch, but honestly in Toronto these days that's typical. Considering the portions and the tastiness of the food, I think it's well worth the money. One of my favourite fried chicken shops in the city. Also, the pickles are pretty bomb. read more

Second time at this venue thanks to its amazing customer service. We ordered their reaper hot level- combo #2 and I thought it was amazing! My bf thought it was a little too spicy and something in between extra spicy and reaper would have been ideal for the second highest level of spice. There wasn't much people dining in, but they had a lot of pick up orders. I would highly recommend ordering in person as it's much cheaper than ordering through third party apps. This is an absolute must try for everyone. When Dave's first arrived in Canada the hype was insane, but surprisingly I never got around to trying it until recently. Pro tip: Order pick up ahead of time so you don't have to stand in the lines outside I recommend getting the two slider combo, it is well worth it and much better than just the tender. A new addition to the neighbourhood that replaced long mainstay Stratengers. This is the first Nashville hot chicken spot in the hood and the signage out front definitely lets you know that! We stepped into Dave's Hot Chicken as curiosity got the better of us. The inside of the resturant is bright and white with some pop tunes playing over the speakers. There is a dining area on the main level and upstairs with cafeteria style tables and chairs. We ordered the 2 tenders with fries (upgraded to cheese fries) combo that also comes with a slice of white bread, pickles, and their Dave's sauce. They allowed us to pick a different heat level for each tender which I think is a good move. We only opted to sneak a little bit while in the restaurant before booking it home to really enjoy it. The chicken tenders were really juicy on the inside with that spicy heat powder on the outside. I really liked the crinkle cut fries but the extra dollar for the cheese wasn't really worth it. The pickles were absolutely needed bit of acidity between bites of the spicy chicken and cheesy fries. So the question I never answered myself was do you eat it like a sandwich or just graze amongst everything in the box???? read more

Pretty tasty! Fast service and I must say their fries are well seasoned. I am definitely a fan. Chicken slider was good. I do wonder though... How come one sandwich had one tender and the other had two? Was a bit put off but it was fine as I still enjoyed the sandwich. Mine was just smaller than the other. They have a lot of tables and dining. Even an upstairs which is pretty cool. Staff was okay, took our order fine. They also do delivery with food apps - you can't order online yourself though as you get redirected to the USA site. Overall would come back if I'm in the area. read more

We always get their combo with the 2 burgers and we share the fries as the meal is pretty heavy. Everything is delicious, the chicken is so well seasoned, and they give you a spicy mayo dip you can dress your burg or dunk your fries. There's also a patio upstairs now (El Patio - not Dave's Hot Chicken) and the vibes are super chill, and you can grab drinks while nomming on your chicken burgs. read more

Nashville Checked is delicious! I was excited when this LA establishment arrived in Toronto. We got take out. This place was fine. It wasn't spectacular, but it wasn't bad either. Recently tried the new Leslieville location...drove by, saw the cool sign, thought....ooooh, chicken wings so did a u-turn....only to sadly find that they only have TWO basic items on the menu....sliders and tenders. The rest of the menu is comprised of various combinations of those two items with various sides or seasoning. Then there's the bread, which looks like kind of heavily buttered squished wonder bread they line their takeout containers with, not sure. I should note that I ordered one tender to keep me going and it was really a good size, probably three times pub style and juicy and tasty. Still pricey to my mind. read more

This is a cute space and the service is friendly, but the food is pretty bad. Ive tried it a couple of times at different spice levels and the chicken has been super salty both times, and I normally prefer quite a bit of salt in my food. My friend told me he got their combo but couldn't finish as he thought he would have a heart attack because of the salt - no doubt he was exaggerating but I'd agree that this is the saltiest fried chicken I have ever had (Popeyes, KFC, Asian friend chicken places etc.) read more
